I have found the experience to be positive for the most part: Staff - 90% - most have been cooperative and pleasant, providing assistance when possible and responsive to inquiries, requests in a professional, yet friendly manner; Building - 80% - it is starting to show wear and detail touch ups could be more timely, it has a great layout but attention to maintenance detail is a must to keep up the high standards that the community wants to portray, especially since so many residents have pets that put additional strain on the property; Community - 85% - There is a sense of community among the residents, an increase in organized activities and a return of the pre-covid amenities would go a long way to promote this, the recent Art installation around the construction site has enhanced not only the residential campus but the community at large and is great and in keeping with the name and spirt of our community.

Transportation, stores, schools and library makes this a good location. Upkeep and amenities make the building sought after which causes residents to stand out.

Love my new Apartment. Love all the amenities. The Staff are all great. The building smells nice . Would recommend to friends. Nice location and transportation.

So far so good when something needed fixing it got done. It was not a long wait so I appreciate that. The maintenance guys were good. They were nice if there was a mess they cleaned up behind themselves and when they saw me in the hall one day, they asked me was everything OK and working order and it is so far.

Been here for a year and it’s been fine. I do wish the amenities had longer hours so I can have night time grilling and swimming especially after getting off late. The pool is small enough and only go up to 4 ft to hopefully allow (at least 18 ) swimming without a lifeguard. No complaints about noise or smoking, at least on my floor.

Everything went smoothly,love the move in goodies and the amenities. The property is well kept and everything seem to be very helpful and nice.

The maintenance team here at The Modern at Art Place is outstanding! Miguel, Christian, Andres, Ramon, and Kevin consistently provide prompt, professional service. They are courteous in the way they move about our apartment home as they carry out their duties. They are conscientious, thorough, caring and kind. Great job at keeping the "Modern Machine" running, gentlemen!

The security of the building makes it worth the value. The neighbors are helpful and respectful. There is a real sense of community. Staff are also adaptable to individual needs.

I been living here for quite some time but maintenance is a bit concerning first it's my refrigerator and now my outlet sockets in my living room are now working and maintenance has not responded to me in a timely manner

I love living at the Modern so much that I came back! I lived here in two apartments between 2018 and 2022, my wife and I moved across the country and decided when we wanted to come home that there was only one place for us. The Modern at Art Place. The community of residents are incredibly warm & welcoming and the same can be said for the staff and more! The amenities are top notch and the round the clock front desk agent is so incredibly helpful!

4 years later and I still feel comfortable in this community. The neighborhood is growing with new buildings and businesses emerging. The modern has become home.

Living at the Modern at Art Place has been great so far. Love the atmosphere! So convenient with the metro just a walk away. Very happy with our decision to move.

Impressed with the efficient response to maintenance and community issues seen at the Modern at Art Place. Concierge staff are also very responsive and always ready to improve package connected services that help residents receive and send out parcels which is greatly appreciated!

Moving in has been so seamless. The leasing team has remained communicative and open to answer my questions and concerns. The concierge desk has helped me get my packages easily and makes me feel very secure being in the building.

I love living in this building. The concierge and maintenance are great. It’s always clean and I feel very safe here. The Modern is a great place to call HOME!

This is a pretty friendly community, with the exception of the persons who persist in smoking marijuana in the building and it filtering through the air vents into other apartments. Otherwise it is pretty positive, friendly and efficient staff. The grounds could be better maintained and there should be more activities based on the fees that have to be paid for them.

Living at The Modern has been a great experience thus far. The residents that we have met have been very hospitable. Ms. Ada and Courtney have been very helpful whenever we need help.

My apartment is everything I expected it to be! Absolutely wonderful with great natural light! Lots of room and my patio is divine! I can’t wait to get my balcony furniture!

My experience living at the Modern at Art Place has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment I stepped into my modern and spacious apartment, I felt right at home. The relaxed atmosphere of the building is exactly what I was looking for. The amenities, such as the rooftop pool and fitness center, have added an extra touch of luxury to my daily routine. The location is also unbeatable.Whether I'm working from home or exploring the neighborhood, I always feel at ease in this community. Overall, my resident experience at the Modern at Art Place has been nothing short of perfect.

The Modern is a nice place to live. The location is near the train station surrounded by shops and lesser than 2 miles away from P.G Mall and other great retail stores. Just open Aldi’s one block away, walking distance to Walmart.

The staff is helpful, kind & responsive! I love the building's amenities, including multiple spacious community rooms, a great gym yoga studio & rooftop pool. The parking deck is a great asset & the monthly parking fee is very reasonable.

From the initial call, through touring and applying and upon signing my lease and move in. The experience has been maintained with professionalism and great customer service. Leasing is amazing, concierge is so kind, security is great, and maintenance and cleaning take pride in upkeeping the community and apartments. Gratitude and appreciation. I am glad I chose to call Modern my home.

It’s been very pleasant. Support staff in the building are very helpful. Nice lounge area spaces and community building events are planned often within the complex.

I love this building. The staff are great and I have no complaints. The upkeep on the building and grounds is great, communication from the company is great. I’m very happy all around.

The staff is friendly and helpful, they were very welcoming when I moved in. The property is very nice with lots of amenities, well maintained.

Unfortunately, things don’t look good. The garage door being broken, we fell victims to car break ins, thefts and vandalism. I hope conditions do not deteriorate.

My husband and I have been here for just a little over a year and so far we are enjoying the Modern at Art Place. The staff is so kind and helpful . . .

This apartment is nice along with the leasing office being very helpful thoughtful and being amazing during this entire process. I think I will be here for awhile just an a great experience with all of the staff that I had met.

Since my last review, I’ve noticed some changes. The South and West buildings are more consistently clean and I see security standing in place more than the one that was hired when I moved in. Security could do more of helping to direct the traffic in the front of the N/S building and keep cars from blocking the entrance and those that park on both sides of the driveway, blocking through traffic. Also the resident parking garage has had a broken door for a while and it’s not secure nor surveilled. We could use more trash cans in the communal areas. On a positive note, I love the donation boxes that were by the mail room and hope mgmt implements them year round for those in need in our community. Although I haven’t made it to some of the resident events, I’m happy that there are events at least every two months or so; let’s keep attending those and suggest new ones.

So far so good everything is great will let you know more once I moved into my unit moving in now also the concierge is great and security and the leasing office excellent and excel at there job

This building has roaches in residential units as well as in common shared areas. Staff are outrageously rude; they enter your unit without permission, which is an unlawful offense which they will then deny and you'll have to file a police report, issue a subpoena and take them to court for the staff actions. Not only have I been threatened by staff here, my public safety has been in jeopardy due to the lethargic nature of the staff and following DC Code.

It has been a great time living here! I really enjoy how safe I feel and the front desk does a great job at communicating with the residents but also making sure that the job gets done. I really enjoy my time here.

Senior friendly, however, there could be better and/or more frequent use of Senior recreational facilities. Staff very efficient, landscaping need upgrading, pet owners could be more mindful of other residents.

Those fobs are a great idea for our security, keeping people out who aren't residents. They keep us safer than we realize...thank you Moderm.

Love it here. Everything is nice. Leasing office is kind… for the most part. Maintenance is very efficient and come to fix things quickly. Great place to live very quiet. Great neighborhood.

Ive been at the Modern since 2021 and it’s been a great experience. The common areas a clean. Whenever there is a maintenance request, it’s completed with 24 hours. Sometimes less. The team here has been awesome and I’m sure they have been the main reason for my great experience

Bringa back coffe machine please. Everything is excelente at the building no complains. Management and staff is nice. Everything is always clean .

The Modern at Art Place is headquarters for peaceful, and aesthetically pleasing, luxury apartment living. The rental office staff and our Executive Concierge provide consistently attentive and timely service. The special activities, such as in-house comedy shows and Christmas-time catered community dinners, make living at The Modern at Art Place a special treat.

I love living here. The location, staff, amenities and upkeep are all a ten out of ten. What saddens me is the lack of respect that some tenants have for the property such as leaving trash in the refuse room, spilling things on the carpet/floor and not getting it up or reporting it to the concierge and not picking up trash.

I love the amenities and safety! How many places have libraries in their buildings? The place is kept very clean and peaceful. Then of course, there's the metro station so close by.

Developing neighborhood with many future plans in store. Maintenance and staff are friendly & very responsive, convenient location as well. Looking forward to another year here.

I feel very safe and appreciated living here. The concierge and maintenance staff have always responded promptly to my requests and treated me kindly.

Very convenient and responsive! I honestly can't think of an apartment building I'd rather live in, if you factor in the access to metro, security, cleanliness, pest control, amenities and events!

The building is always very clean, our cleaning crew does an Amazing job. The front desk staff especially Courtney are very pleasant (besides a some of the temps). The office staff are hit or miss with their attitudes but sharday is always very nice and helpful. Christian is an excellent maintenance worker very fast and efficient. Overall this is a nice place with great staff and the community activities are a plus.

The Modern is a great place to live in. The metro is very close and for the most part very clean. I like the gym, it’s very convenient and I like how quick the maintenance responds. The only thing is the smell of the refuse room on the second floor and smell of weed in the elevator and my apartment. The smell of trash is sometimes unbearable and the smell of weed would seep through the vent in my apartment.
