This two-bedroom, one-bathroom residence in Tukwila, Washington offers a practical and well-organized single-floor layout. The kitchen features warm wood cabinetry extending to the upper walls, white tile flooring, a coil-burner electric range, a full-size refrigerator, and a white countertop with an integrated sink — providing solid functionality for everyday cooking. The two bedrooms are carpeted and bright, each benefiting from natural light filtering through vertical-blind windows. Both bedrooms include sliding-door closets with gold-toned hardware, offering generous storage. Baseboard heating units run beneath the windows in the bedrooms, ensuring comfortable warmth. The full bathroom is cleanly appointed with a tub/shower combination, a wall-mounted sink, and tile flooring. Hallways connect the rooms efficiently, and a balcony extends the living space outdoors. The overall color palette is neutral throughout — cream walls, light carpet, and wood-toned doors and trim — creating a clean, move-in-ready feel. The layout, as seen in the dollhouse view, makes efficient use of the available floor area, with logical flow between the living, sleeping, and kitchen spaces.

HELLO, AND WELCOME TO OUR COMFORTABLE, GRACIOUS, QUIET, 55+ COMMUNITY! Hi, I'm Terry Goodwin and I own the Mauna Kea Apartments. I'm proud of the Mauna Kea---it's a great place for quiet, comfortable, attractive living. I'm happy that you've “stopped by” to consider it. At the Mauna Kea we emphasize a well maintained apartment home with a comfortable package of home-y amenities. The Mauna Kea is a great place for people who want a quiet, respectful, and commotion-free life. Are you at least 55 years old and looking for a well priced apartment home in a comfortable, quiet, and peaceful setting? The Mauna Kea Apartments offers recently upgraded 1 and 2 bedroom apartments with unobstructed views west to the Olympic Mountains, north to downtown Seattle, and even a glimpse of Elliot Bay! Selected units feature private balconies overlooking the pool and those same terrific views to the west. Residents can take the elevator to enjoy our newly refurbished pool, or grill on the poolside patio. The Mauna Kea is convenient, with freeway access only minutes away and a bus stop and Pea Patch just across the street. At the risk of sounding like I'm crowing, the Mauna Kea has four strengths---a really great view, an especially large and attractive pool, a very, very quiet environment, and myself as a kind of cordial "small town Mayor". I'm at the Mauna Kea very frequently, and everyone knows me, and I them. The Mauna Kea is a great place for people who like a quiet, comfortable, and commotion-free home life. The Mauna Kea is committed to providing comfortable, quiet, secure living in a competitively priced Adult environment. One out of every seven residents has been with us over twenty years---come see why! And yes, the Mauna Kea is a non-smoking/non-pet community. I thought that I'd offer a bit more context about the Mauna Kea, and particularly my 'operating philosophy'. I operate the Mauna Kea with an eye to creating quite long-term residencies for easy-to-get-along-with people. A very integral part of that is that I don't maximize the possible rents---I don't try to squeeze every last $5 or $10 or $50/month that I might---I'd very much rather keep the Mauna Kea's rents at an acceptable level that Residents can live with, and create a situation where the same easy-to-get-along-with Residents can live there year after year, decade after decade, as they historically have. That, to me, is a 'winning hand' for everyone. The Mauna Kea has choices to suit all housing preferences. Let us show you what the Mauna Kea Apartments has to offer, and you'll see why our many long term residents stay here year after year. In the interests of clarity and efficiency, I prefer to e-mail at first. If you communicate via e-mail and think that the Mauna Kea might appeal to you, please send me a note so that I can arrange a showing for you. If e-mail is not yor thing, then, of course, please call me. Thanks! The Mauna Kea Apartments - Family Built, Family Owned, Family Operated. South Seattle refers to a vast collection of communities situated between Downtown Seattle and the city of Renton. Among the many communities in South Seattle are those in the Rainier Valley, the Industrial District, Beacon Hill, and Bryn Mawr-Skyway.
While each of these communities has its own distinctive character, rentals in the area tend to be slightly more affordable than their Downtown Seattle counterparts. Rentals in South Seattle are generally convenient to Lake Washington, where recreational opportunities abound. Interstate 5 cuts directly through the region, connecting residents to Downtown Seattle as well as Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, which lies just southwest of the area.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
