Central Ann Arbor is an Ann Arbor neighborhood a step east of Detroit. The University of Michigan is right outside of Central Ann Arbor and shapes the neighborhood. The University of Michigan’s research hospital and surrounding medical complex makes up the northern section of Central Ann Arbor, while the University of Michigan’s Nichols Arboretum is situated to the west of the hospital.
