Longfellow, a small neighborhood with an active neighborhood association, sits a little more than a mile south of downtown Kansas City. Longfellow features many historic homes, including Victorian-style houses for rent, as well as apartments in historic buildings and modern complexes.
Load up on caffeine with a coffee from the Filling Station. Dine like the locals at You Say Tomato, a homey cafe featuring local and seasonal comfort foods. Succotash wins the hearts of Longfellow residents with a hip vibe and locally-sourced food. If you want even more local food, help out at the Longfellow Farm, a community garden tended and harvested by neighborhood residents.
Longfellow's location close to downtown keeps residents within walking distance of the popular Crown Center shopping area, the National World War I Museum and Memorial, and Union Station, all of which lie just outside the neighborhood.

Property Ratings at The Historic Residences at Dutch Hill
This apartment complex is owned by united point communities which is based in olathe kansas. they contract all of their work orders out to third party plumbers, roofers, electricians, etc. and have none of their own maintenance contractors that are readily accessible and available close by, even for seemingly easy fixes. if you have an issue with maintenance (you will, these are old buildings and appliances) it takes a good 2 (or more) weeks before anything happens to fix it. the leasing company’s employees are unhelpful and often rude. i have had several issues that have taken 2+ weeks to be resolved while living here. i would not resign a lease here and i would not recommend it to anyone i care about. do yourself a favor and seek housing elsewhere, far away from United Point communities.
I have lived in a 2 bedroom unit for 2 years. The landlord and maintenance man are both very responsive. It has been a nice place to live.
I have lived here for 7 months and it has been awesome. Awesome stove and got us a new washer and dryer.
