The Gabriella

I had a disappointing experience at The Gabriella in Dallas. While the amenities and location are attractive, frequent disturbances from short-term renters and unreliable package deliveries made daily living frustrating. Unfortunately common areas often lacked proper maintenance. Also, the Assistant Manager was consistently rude and dismissive when I brought up these issues, which only added to my dissatisfaction. Overall, despite some appealing features, these recurring problems make it hard to recommend this property to ANYONE.

I’ve only been a resident here for a few short months, and in that time, the entire staff has turned over—clear proof of the poor management and complete disregard for residents. Unfortunately, things have only gotten worse. Most shockingly, the leasing staff stole my personal property from outside my home while I had the flu. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, I was handed a lease violation notice by the completely incompetent, unapologetic, and visibly overwhelmed office manager, Chelsi. She lacks both the experience and the professionalism to handle resident concerns, making an already mismanaged community even worse. Don’t be fooled by the new flooring and cosmetic upgrades—this place is riddled with issues. Hopefully, things improve under new management, but until they finish cleaning house and let go of the last remaining problem staff member, I wouldn’t hold my breath. Proceed with caution!

CAREFUL even applying! I applied to live here almost 30 days ago, (25 days to be exact). Not once did I ever get a message from the management/leasing team. Every email I got was clearly auto generated. I get a denial letter, again auto generated. I asked for a response from mgmt and yet nothing. I even reached out to Greystar corporate, ZERO RESPONSE! Now I’m fighting to get my $500 security deposit back. I’ve sent a total of six (6) emails with not one responded to. This is the worst management company I’ve ever dealt with. I’m so glad to have found a place where the team at least can send a five minute email.

DO NOT RENT ON THE 10th FLOOR. With the dog park on the 10th floor and the renters here rarely picking up after their dogs, living on the 10th floor is constantly stepping around wet pee stains and rarely being able to walk to your apartment without the smell of dog crap in the hallways. Throw in the fact that the elevators have puddles of dog pee in them from time to time, and you’ll be embarrassed to bring guests over. The primary, central elevator in the main building seems to be down or unavailable far more than it is not, which leads to praying that you’ll only get very long wait times at the other elevators, instead of those elevators being down too (they are also down more than you’d like). That 7-story walk from the garage to the 10th floor has been the only real option multiple times. The walls and amenities are paper thin. The only “luxury” thing in this apartment that has actually made an impact is the view of the skyline, because you’re certainly not getting much else of value at this high of a price tag.

As The Gabriella is a special place to live because it is the only luxurious community around. It is in a good location close to downtown, deep ellum, the arts district, and the farmers market. It is also easy to get to because it is near the highways. Even though it is close to busy areas, it is still very safe. The Gabriella is also above a grocery store! The building has lots of nice things, similar to a boutique hotel. Including a concierge onsite. It is a really great place to live!

The Gabriella is a beautiful property. I’m pleased to call it home.

The Gabriella has been nothing short of amazing ! As a homebody the property is really quiet. The rooftop lounge to just take a breath and get away is a great asset! Amenities are clean and neat as much as they can. Definitely getting my money worth.

I am happy with my experience so far with the Gabriella. There was a property management change this year (around August I believe), and they have been focused on making the Gabriella nice place to be.

If you are interested in being a resident of The Gabriella, do your research. It would be unreasonable not to expect issues at any apartment community but pick your poison. Disrespect, turpitude, ineptness, and dishonesty are mine. Those are character traits and a segue to the business relationship. I would not recommend this property unless you have low expectations.

I’ve been at the Gabriella for about 3 weeks now and love it! The amenities are so nice to have! The package delivery is very nice if you’re gone all day and don’t want your packages sitting in front of your door the whole day. The staff is very friendly and super helpful with anything I’ve needed so far too!

I have only been here about 2 weeks but upon move-in, there was a bottle of wine to welcome me home. The staff, concierge and maintenance all very personable and knowledgeable about the property and its surroundings. The location is great. I can walk many places and there is a Tom Thumb on the first floor which is amazing!! The views could be better but maybe in other apartments there are better views of the dallas sky line.

Wonderful apartment. Love it. Business center is great. Pool is great. Gym is great. Airbnb clientele is sketchy, you’ve been warned! Airbnb requirements need to establish 30 night minimums to create better experience for the residents who permanently live here.

Truly terrible. The facilities are not maintained well. The management is on the residents case over the wrong things. I do not feel safe here.

Sadly this beautiful apartment complex needs some good management, and to actually use the security cameras to see what is going on here. The pool is beautiful but you can't really relax and enjoy it due to inconsiderate guests playing their music loudly. At one point, two different parties were playing their own personal music loudly. This doesn't allow for an enjoyable atmosphere. The vulgar words while small children swam also wasn't very fair. It is apparent that they need to have someone patrolling in order to ensure guests can appreciate a relaxing time whenever they want some time away from their rooms. (Stains and damaged carpets all throughout the place.) I called and complained and the person who answered the call told me to go write a complaint on the portal.... Wow, why couldn't he help? Also, yesterday I picked up dog poop on the pool deck. Absolutely disgusting. This is not my job but I also didn't want anyone stepping in it, myself included. Gabriella, use your “security cameras”!!!!!!!! Please help control the standards for your beautiful place! ~ Please control those careless and self centered guests that don’t have any consideration and zero respect for the sake of others.

Immediately no. Do NOT lease at this property. They market Air BNB as an “amenity” and leave the most common public spaces such as elevators and hallways in various states of filth. Current resident are not re-signing their leases and that speaks volumes to their experience here. Greystar needs to spend some serious money to get this property up to the “luxury” standard that they advertise. 0/10, would not recommend living here.

This is a great place to live. Tom Thumb on first floor is a real treat for quick food pick ups and Starbucks coffee breaks. No issues finding parking. Multiple elevator options makes life easier. Roof top dog park is my favorite amenity. Most importantly my unit is well insulated. I appreciate the attentive office and quick service response when needed.

Relocated to Dallas.TX and The Gabriella made that move special and free of worry and anxiety.

Poorly built, cheap materials, dangerous parking garage layout, urine and other stains on hallway carpet, overall a mess of a complex.

The tenant population has gone downhill fast! They must be allowing government subsidized housing. Lots of drug activity. Safety is a concern. Elevators and garage gate are broken all the time and there is no security. All common areas smell of dog urine and poop all the time.

Ive thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Gabriella so far. The staff and amenities are fantastic, with an added bonus of having a Tomb Thumb on the first floor.

he Gabriella is a great place to call home. Moving to Dallas from New York City, I didn't know what to expect. I was only able to tour the building via Facetime before my arrival. I was pleasantly surprised at the look and feel of the building. The staff has all been super welcoming and friendly, willing to help however and whenever is needed. My fellow residents have also been great to meet to get to know. I would highly recommend The Gabriella to anyone looking for a great new Dallas home.

The Gabriella is the only place in Dallas Id want to call home. From the beautiful apartment features to the amazing views, and the incredible management and staff, it is a pleasure to be a resident at The Gabriella.
