Willert Park, an urban neighborhood on the east side of Downtown Buffalo, provides the ideal location. From your new apartment in Willert Park, you'll be within walking distance of downtown, which is less than a mile away. If you prefer mass transit, hop on the number 4 bus that runs along Broadway. If you enjoy historic architecture, be sure to look at the gorgeous brick warehouses, many dating to the early 1900s, that have been converted to apartment buildings.
Being so close to downtown, you'll find plenty to do after moving to Willert Park. The Buffalo Niagara Convention Center is just west of the neighborhood, hosting events such as car shows, exhibits, symposiums, and conventions. Head south of the neighborhood toward the Buffalo River and Canalside, a 21-acre park that hosts a variety of concerts and other events.
