Less than five miles from Downtown Saint Paul, Energy Park is conveniently located with tons of employers making up this mixed-use area. There’s definitely an industrial vibe to the neighborhood, as it’s surrounded by office parks and railroad tracks.
Because Energy Park was developed in the 1980s, it’s still relatively new to Saint Paul. Bandana Square is one of the office parks, complete with a steam locomotive and water tower to enhance its railroad-themed décor. A hotel and conference center, urgent care, and other small businesses encompass the square.
Down the road, you’ll find the campus of Metropolitan State University. Gabe’s By The Park is a friendly restaurant in walking distance of Energy Park apartments. Hamline University on Snelling Avenue is just a short drive from the neighborhood.

Everyone is so friendly! Lot's of hellos and lending of wagons, muscle and door holding. I've even had some small world connections on my floor! I realize I know more people here than I realized.
It's been awesome here! The amenities are great and it's super easy to get in touch with maintenance or the leasing office if needed! The package room is also really easy to use.

Water pressure on the 3rd floor is absolute trash - and it takes forever for the hot water to reach us, too. The fact that we can’t decide if we want to use the heat or AC depending on the current weather is ridiculous. (Hello, we live in MN…??) The maintenance crew is severely lacking - they take forever to respond to requests (we’re talking weeks). Parking is super tight ALL the time, but at least I have one garage spot. They switched the old laundry machines for more expensive ones, but they’re not bigger or better. Lease indicates that certain dog breeds aren’t allowed in the complex, but just in my building I’ve seen almost every single one that was listed. So they don’t care! My unit has a garbage disposal that doesn’t work at all, and they’re not fixing those anymore apparently. But of course, rent was raised when I renewed my lease. All you need to know is I’m not renewing for a 3rd year. This place is not worth it!!

Enjoyed living here. Nice walking paths and courtyard. Apartments are a bit old and require maintenance consistently. Overall would recommend especially for college students.

Overall I like living here. It would be great to have some more kid friendly events and cheaper garage parking- there are a lot of empty spaces and it would help more people afford to park, thus opening up the lot for guests. Having to get passes for if guests stay past 9 pm is really tricky. That’s not even late enough for a football game or a glass of wine after the kids go to bed. Even 10 or 11 pm would be much better. Finally, there really needs to be a crackdown on marijuana usage. I’m smelling it more and more and at most an email gets sent. I understand it’s legal but the scent is unbearable. I think it would be really fun to do some family/kid connect events!!!

The management is very nice, the neighbors in the apartment are nice, and the apartment is very clean overall. I just don't like how we cannot park outside if we rent the garage after 9pm.

I love the building, maintenance is outstanding. The gym is super nice and comfortable. I love the amenities and events that go on. Noise level is normally pretty good, very few times has it been a problem.

I have loved living here. I love meeting the new pets and people. I love the trails and the sitting areas! During the summer time it’s always fun to sit in the grass with my pets and talk to people as they walk by. I love how clean it is here also I never have to worry about trash laying around in the grass or the trails.

The location is conveniently close to everything. The cleaning services are here daily including weekends. The maintenance staff is always around taking care of the grounds. Management is always available for questions and to provide any assistance necessary to make being a resident comfortable.

I’ve lived at The Burlington for three years and it’s been a great place to call home. My 2 bed, 2 bath apartment is spacious, with large rooms, generous closet space, and the added convenience of in-unit laundry. The location is ideal—just a short drive to both downtown St. Paul and downtown Minneapolis. One of my favorite features is the courtyard. It’s a peaceful and beautifully maintained space where I can relax, grill, entertain guests, or take my dog for a walk. The Burlington is very pet-friendly, and it’s been fun getting to know the many wonderful pets (and pet owners!) in the community. I’ve always felt safe here, and the community is welcoming and diverse. It truly feels like home.

Rent here at your own peril. This place is a complete letdown: exorbitant prices for subpar living. Repairs take forever, and you'll find evidence of mice near the garbage. The hallways are often unkempt, with noticeable water damage. The staff in the office can be quite unfriendly; they only show a smiling face when showing the apartment. They take up valuable parking spaces, and you can forget about using the pool during the summer as it’s usually closed. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this building.

Good surrounding area access. However apartments are old and frequently have problems feels like we’re paying to maintain the apartment for the owners sometimes. Frequent leaks but maintenance does a great job as is fast.

It would be much better if I would not constantly listen to the person living up to me, when he walks the sound is pretty loud. There's is also someone smoking marjuana all day long and the smell goes into my room

Could be better overall, although the new management is better than the last one… they still need improvement. The maintenance people are also lacking. Amenities are ok when they do work. Parking is tough because there’s so many people.

Some people are very nice. But there are a few people who live in the building we do that are very rude. Especially to the dogs. Which is upsetting because they aren’t doing anything wrong and we pay rent for them to live there.

Office staff friendly and efficient. They were helpful from showing us around to see if it was a fit for us or not. Then when we had questions they were very good about giving us the information or getting the answer and getting back to us. The application was easy to do online. Maintenance was there right away to correct a couple of issues on move in day. Building is clean and smells fresh. I see the cleaning staff there in the early mornings.

The Burlington is a pretty nice apartment complex. It's pretty quiet and really centrally located with everything within easy access. The pros are lightning fast maintenance crew and a nice gym/pool with friendly front office staff (do note that this depends as the front office staff change faster than our weather forecast). The cons mostly being that you can end up with loud or smoking neighbors -> this being mostly a result of the kind of people that move into the place moreso than the apartment staff themselves who seem to respond decently quickly when an issue is reported. Overall, I like living here, and I've been here for over 2 years so clearly it's good enough for me.

For a large apt complex there are some great things about it like it’s mostly pretty quiet we have recently have some issues with a loud neighbor. We have had theft issues too. Maintenance is pretty quick when needed. The grounds are pretty clean the gym is a great place.

Overall I really like this complex, however the parking rules can be a major headache. They limit overnight passes and if they are out the nearest place to park legally is blocks away. Now if you have a garage spot you HAVE to park in it overnight- not give to a visitor. There are lots of empty garage spots but the cost is prohibitive for many residents. If they were to lower the cost of the garage spots many of the parking woes would be solved. I really like the current office staff. They remember our names and go above and beyond!

Very friendly staff and maintenance workers. The other tenants are friendly. Occasionally on weekends it is difficult to find parking so I would recommend investing in a garage parking spot to make sure you always have a place to park.

She made time from her busywork to tour us from the facilities even we didn’t have any appointment and made everything smooth with our moving in. It’s clean and most neighbors are nice and considerate. However, there are a few neighbors that are unpleasant. Sometimes there’s graffiti in community areas but it’s quickly cleaned.

Noise from outside (even with windows closed) can be disruptive and annoying even though I am located on the 3rd floor. However, I love all the activities, events, and accommodations/benefits to living in the Burlington.

The apartment is very nice, and the maintenance address the issue very well. The apartment also has its own park to have people walk around and feel the breeze.

It's a quiet place. But I have issues with the leasing office, as they've deemed no one at the entire complex can decorate their doors as a punishment for the few who decode to leave garbage in the common areas/outside their doors. This has NOTHING to do with the other, and only makes the residents dislike the office more. In addition, the maintenance crew decides to let appliances stack up in one section of the garage, which happens to be across from where I park (and happens to be next to a wall), causing issues for garage spot access. The appliances and other items weren't cleared out for weeks, and once they were, more appliances have been put there.

I have lived at The Burlington for almost three years. I love my 2 bed 2 bath floor plan. Perks: screened in porch, in unit laundry, ample storage, quiet, great neighbors, next to Como Park, and a beautiful courtyard with pool. I love it here.

Lived here for two years now. Decent location and nice walking paths. However we have had so many maintenance issues over those two years. Given it used to be fast to get things fixed, it now takes awhile.
