The Brownstones at Englewood South

I was in a bit of a unique situation where I had to try and organize my lease from overseas. The team couldn't have been more helpful and facilitating, and made the overall experience seamless.

Brownstone south is an excellent community to live. Well maintained. Caring and friendly staff, safe, and numerous activities. This location is near highways and the bridge. Love my neighbors we check in on each other, it’s a blessing!

It has been an overall positive experience living at the Brownstone at Englewood South. Amenities and community are very inviting and well maintained. Downside, is the upkeep of some of the buildings, including building 41. Despite those negatives, I still recommend living at The Brownstone at Englewood.

Beautiful building with a great layout and the amenities are perfect. The process was straight forward and easy with pricing being very competitive.

Great place to live, love all the community activities that are hosted. Convenient to many major highways and there is a very nice gym across the street.

The community lends itself to all ages and as seniors advanced in age and health issues we have been accommodated to the point we have not missed our over 55 community in Fl. Franklyn provided us with more than reasonable accommodations to ensure our safety, for that we are grateful. The opportunity to be in a diverse community with children and young folks raising families is a welcomed environment with conversations and encounters that are not about ailments & medications. Kudos to Management!

Living in this apartment is very comfortable. The building is clean and well-maintained, and if something breaks, it gets fixed right away. The only downside is the management team. Whenever I send an email, the response is always delayed, and their handling of matters feels very unprofessional. Other than that, the soundproofing is good, and overall it’s a comfortable place to live.

Still love living at The Brownstones. Eigjt years and going!! Friendly neighbors, staff and maintenance!! Especially from maintenance Sammy who greets me every morning with a smile.

The increase of community activities is nice to see. Enjoy getting to know those in the community. Really enjoy living here. The staff are very accommodating.

Overall, Brownstones is a very nice community for individuals and families. There are issues time to time but management is very helpful in resolving them.

Love living here. Can't wait for my sister in law to move in next month. She will be across the green but close at hand. We can enjoy all of the social events together.

So far, we are enjoying living at The Brownstones at Englewood South. There is a wonderful community and amenities and we already feel at home here. It’s a convenient location from down town Englewood and access to Route 4.

Just a great Vibe clean helpful sites The Community is just a bunch of nice people. Staff are helpful . The Gym area is well kept small but clean .

We like the size of our apartment,layout, interiors and amenities such as the pool and concierge services. However, we have noticed that floors are thin-I.e. we can often hear footsteps and occasional noises, movement etc. additionally service requests are not attended to in a timely fashion (usually takes a few days and quite often weeks) and communication with the service team is extremely difficult. When attending to a request the staff would call and if you missed their call you were asked to call back the concierge and leave a message there. However, we were told on every occasion that our call back was not communicated to them. We then tried to communicate via email mail, but those weren’t checked either until the next day. We also constantly have something or the other that needs to be fixed. Access to hot water has been an ongoing issue for the 1 year since we have been residents. Garage door also stops working quite often. Not sure if we will renew our lease.

Smell in Gym needs fixin and carpets in corridor of apt building needs to be changed else all is good Staff is very helpful Sammy Laura Cyn Franco All very responsive

Overall, it is a great neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Apartment also offers a number of layouts, but it is expensive. Given the cost, I had expected my unit to be fully prepared before my move-in. However, hot water was not working. Stove lights, kitchen faucet, etc were not fully functional at the time of my move-in. It took over a week after I had moved in for these to be addressed. To get them to address these issues, I had to talk with the leasing agent and maintenance a number of times too. I expected a much better move-in experience because of how expensive this apartment. Needless to say, it was quite disappointing.

Beautiful community with lots of green areas. Pet-friendly, spacious apartments with modern conveniences.

As long term residents of the Brownstones South here in Englewood we have seen many changes in management. The group we have now are one of the best we have had. No complaints.

The staff and maintenance crew are lovely. I feel comfortable letting them in when I'm not at home. My needs are met quickly and efficiently and are always resolved.

Love the community that is The Brownstones. The staff is more than willing to go above and beyond to help with assisting with your needs. The property management team is always looking to assist whenever they can, within reason.

Its not bad place to live but I also feel with the amount of money tenants pay, I shouldn't walk to a door handle that dangles every other month. Wifi was definitely a issue but staff tried to keep us informed. I do enjoy the pool I just wish it wasn't so strict with guest but I assume its like that because past residents took advantage of the situation. I think they should soften the rules a bit. The staff try to be accommodating.

Well kept and caring, professional staff. Maintained beautifully, maintenance staff arrives within 24 hours and lots of fun community party’s with gym, pool, clubhouse and friendly neighbors whom help and care for one another. All major highways are nearby the bridge is up the hill which I love due to broadway shows and my 15 years here have been very happy

Molds in the hallway. Lights were off for a long time. We asked them to fix this for many times but nothing gets done, other than that it is reasonable place to live.

Feels like home right when you move in! We love all the amenities here as well as our apartment looks which is one of the remodeled, lighter colored aroma.

I do overall really enjoy my experience here. My only complaints are I continue to see residents walking their dogs off leash not matter how many times I address it or how. Unless it was fixed in the last 2 days the knob to the fire pit has been gone rendering the pit unusable for at least 6 months now, and since I moved here 11 months ago, the dog park has never had running water for the fillable bowl. Also whoever keeps leaving piles of gigantic dog waste, multiple at times, INSIDE THE DOG PARK needs to be fined. That is a health hazard to other dogs and a blatant slap in the face to the other people who live here to not pick it up right next to a trash bin. I'm also still disappointed that there shuffleboard table is gone with no new game of some kind to take its place. There is a good selection of games there but the pool sticks are all in poor condition. But the front desk, leasing office, maintenance staff, and grounds crew are all outstanding.

Different vibe since moving here...not that friendly.... Hallways a mess, missing lighting and water damage by elevators and only 1 working.

We are here almost 9 years. We enjoy the social gatherings and community feeling. The grounds are well maintained and the hallways and elevators are always clean.We hope to be here for many more years. The only drawback is the noise from a few neighbors but we have out stayed them.

While lots of things have been great and leasing agent has been wonderful, appliance item was not functioning on day 1 and has not been fixed by day 6.

Not as quiet and peaceful as it used to be. I’m noticing a lot lately that there has been a lot of police activity on the weekends since tenants are inviting guests who are fighting.

Great community with access to shopping, restaurants, and easy highway access. The staff is very professional and friendly. Outside parking for guests can be challenging

Homey atmosphere. Attentive staff. Friendly neighbors. Nice dogs! We moved in two years ago from a waterfront property and could not be any happier!

Well maintained landscape, quiet residence. Maintenance crew really efficient. Major highways nearby. Recently added 4 EV chargers but chargers are NOT complimentary. Overall great place to live.

Have been living at the brownstones for almost 2 years now. Quiet community, close proximity to the highway, safe location. Would recommend!

Great potential. Office staff work very hard to give everyone a nice experience. Concierge is open for package pick up at inopportune times 10am-8pm. If you on the side near the audi dealership and train tracks noise can be an issue. Apartments are nice location is prime. Everything you need is nearby. There are many things i would prefer were fixed. Most notably the disregard of the non smoking community guidelines by other residents but you can’t win them all. These apartments are clean and pest free they are updated and modern.

The apartment complex and amenities are great. However, one downside is the temperature of the building and noise levels between the floors.

I love living in a place where my wife and me feel accepted and apart of our community. The staff is more than supportive and accommodating within reason. Neighbors are very friendly and ok, there are always that one person but who is that person. We have enjoyed living here happily for several years and look forward to several more. The convenience of living close to the NYC area is great. We are at our workplace location within minutes in the morning. The community event are great and we look forward to another ADULT Game nite! So worth the experience of living at the Brownstone in South Englewood!!!!!

Everything is great. Anytime you need something, the office & maintenance staff are there to help. The office always plans events for residents each month.

Amazing place to liv, great community, dog community and over all can’t complain. I would Really recommend this place to any one. Lauren is also amazing and does community activities.

This is a great community and we love loving here! The staff is so nice, the free events hosted by the building are amazing and the amenities make us feel like we live in a hotel! Not to mention the doggy park and dog friendly vibe that makes our pup happy too!

What a wonderful place to call home, safe clean and well kept. Everyone on staff is willing to help wonderful events every month and everyone is friendly!

Everyone is very attentive to requests/needs. Repairs to individual apartment are done quickly after request for repair made. Residents are friendly.

We have been at the Brownstones for 18 years and are very happy with management staff and maintenance staff. They are all friendly and professional.

I have lived at the Brownstone‘s for many years (since 2009). The apartment experience is great! I have a duplex apartment with two bedrooms and three bathrooms, on two floors! If I have any problems, repairs are made quickly and the building is meticulously maintained. However, the grounds are something else. Dog poop is noted everywhere and small amounts of garbage are present. The grass is in terrible condition, especially along the walks. They hire an outside company to deal with snow removal, and it churns up the grass into chunks of sod along the side of the walks. In many areas, of the grass has evolved into mud. Because I am a dog walker, this influences my experience of the property.
