Property Ratings at The Brougham
I lived there from 2008-2018, first in a garden level with no screens on the windows (I had to request them when a squirrel got in) and no AC. I had sewage come up through my kitchen sink that overflowed and it took the owner days to deal with and he refused to just call someone other than his usual guy who was busy. Didn’t budge much on rent that month after I used all of my towels to soak it all up, had to hvac it up myself multiple times a day, and dealt with the smell. I moved upstairs which had been updated and it was slightly better (had AC and screens at least). Dealt with bed bugs twice because the owner would spray individual apartments instead of the whole building, so they would just move around from one to the next. I hate to move so I stayed for much longer than I actually wanted to. Neighbors were pretty nice. Paying for a spot in the lot doesn’t do a whole lot. I came home numerous times after work to find all spots taken because a guest had decided to park there. Don’t park in front of the back door. Somebody like to key cars that park there even if there is room to get in and out of the building. Lots of cars got keyed. Natural Grocers took part of the lot and so now even though there are Tow signs, it’s not actually doable because of the angle of the lot or something. Owner lives(lived?) in Boulder so wasn’t a whole lot of help.

There are cockroaches all over my apartment. Manager is rude and petty. I have also been living with a leak in my roof since I moved in. I can not wait to move out! do not waste your money. Live somewhere safer with no bugs

I like my apartment because it is quite reasonable and in a good location -- for me. It's great for young people, and near a lot of stores, but it's not necessarily the safest part of town for young kids, as there is definitely a homeless population nearby. My apartment itself is fairly small, but it doesn't feel like it is because the layout is wonderful, and the wood floors are a huge plus. Great amenities included, like heat, and I love being right next to Natural Grocers.
