With its brick-paved sidewalks, cobblestone alleyways, and gorgeous historic architecture, Society Hill is one of Philadelphia's oldest and most sought-after neighborhoods. The name is slightly misleading -- it isn't on a hill and it has nothing to do with social standing. Instead, the name is derived from the original settlers, a group of Free Society of Traders who received land from William Penn back in 1682. They planted a flag on a small hill in the neighborhood, and the area quickly became known as the "Society's Hill."
Society Hill contains a variety of spectacular buildings, some dating to its original settlement. The neighborhood was diverse, even back in the 1700s, with small row houses sitting next to mansions. One of those mansions, the Physick House, built in 1786, is one of the neighborhood's last surviving Federal-style mansions. Today, it is a house museum that offers public tours. Property Ratings at The Broderick
I love my unit. The finishes are very nice, the view is postcard worthy and the building location is the city’s best. The management group Erick, Brandon, Simone and John could not be better. Each, always ask what concerns you may have and what they could do better.
Ive had a positive experience with the Broderick in the month or so that Ive been here, starting with Nadirah who was extremely helpful and lovely in facilitating this entire process. The building itself is clean and quiet, and everyone Ive met so far - staff and residents alike - have been nice.
We are beyond impressed and satisfied with living at the Broderick so far. We love the area, and all the residents and staff are very kind and courteous.
Such a fab place to live. I love opening my door to see a nice park.
Its in an amazing location, close to everything I need, and the staff is super friendly.
We hope Greystar continues to be the management company that represents The Broderick. Having experienced truly bad, uncaring management prior to Greystar, we are grateful they are here. Would very likely not have stayed had prior team remained.
The Broderick is a beautiful residence. The location is exceptional, as is the management. My only issue is the disinterested attitude of the evening and weekend staff.
