Property Ratings at The Bernard
Maintenance cones and looks at the problems marks it done but nothing ever is. I’ve been complaining about stuff for 6 months, nothing has been done. Took me 3 days to pay my rent this month. Acted like it was my fault their stuff didn’t work. Love the floor plan and balcony. Hate maintenance and office people. No management to be found.
Office hours mean nothing. They come in when they feel like it. Made an appointment upon arrival the manager told me the system was down and she couldn’t help. She then promised they would be open tomorrow. Went the next day and they did not open. They had a sign saying will return in at 3 pm. Sat in parking lot for the two hours. Also made an appointment for 3 pm. They never came. So if they respond with we took someone on a tour that is not true. Realizing, if this is how they run the office I don’t want to live here.
Everything the previous reviewer from Sept 2022, mentioned is 1000000% true. I am, unfortunately, still living here and almost everything they mentioned: about having trouble signing the initial lease, delay in repairs and requested service, rude staff, is all VERY TRUE. We started getting roaches that were coming from our walls due to poor construction work and sharing a wall with an unkempt neighbor. Called on site pest control and they said some one would come on Monday to treat our unit. 3 weeks later pest control sprayed the perimeter and left. We called multiple times for more treatment as bugs were getting out of hand no matter how much we cleaned, they were infesting our cats food and water systems. It’s been 4 months and bugs are JUST now starting to subside after us making 2 times weekly calls to the office, every week, only for pest to control to show up 1 out of 6 times. Building across from us burned down, they told us it was a patio grill but I believe it was bad wiring, we had electrical issues the day we moved in and had to have maintenance repair every single outlet in the unit. Absolutely hate it here, most tenants are trying to leave, it’s awful. Don’t fall for the price, it’s truly one of the worst places to be. Management does not and will not help you, they don’t care about you even a shred.
i just moved here from florida and i fell in love with this property AT FIRST. I was finally able to move in after no one wanted to contacted me. The communication here with the leasing office was absolutely terrible. I constantly had to call and no one ever picked up the phone, i had to physically go in multiple times for simple questions that could have been answered on the phone. after moving in i realized there was a leak above my tub and my ac was not cooling property. i put in 3 service requests and no response and nothing was fixed. 2 of my service requests were closed but no one showed up to fix anything. i then had to go into the office and mention it and still no one came to fix my problems. I finally go back for the 5th time and demanding my ac and leak problem needed to be fixed. after a month of living here they finally came to fix my ac. on top of that i was fined $69 because i put a box in the garbage compactor “incorrectly” while EVERYONE can put sofas, tables, etc on the side of the road with NO fines. to top everything off my vehicle got stolen and no one seemed to be able to help me out apparently. i asked to see video footage to figure out what may have happened but they refuse to show me without a police report. i then file a police report and was then told there’s no footage to be shown. i’ve only been here for 1 month and i’m FED up with this property. the management sucks, maintenance sucks, AND this property DOES NOT look like the pictures. save ur time and go somewhere else the price isn’t worth the headache.
