I cannot think of a better place that I would want to live, especially for an apartment. I have all the amenities of a package room, mail room, exercise facilities, as well as a pool. In addition, I have a secure heated garage for winter and such pleasant staff that assist with any need that I might have. Berkman is the best.

I’ve been living at The Berkman for almost two years and have had a great experience. The location is excellent, the facilities are top-notch, and the staff is always helpful, especially Amal, who consistently goes above and beyond to make things easier for residents. Highly recommend!

Moving into my apartment was a seamless experience! The staff was incredibly welcoming and made the process easy from start to finish. My unit was clean and move-in ready, which I really appreciated. The location is super convenient, and having a 24/7 concierge adds an extra level of security and convenience. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience so far!

The Berkman provides a wonderful environment for living. It’s new, well maintained, secure, with a fantastic location in town with a heated secure garage. Going on three years 3 years since I moved and plan on staying. I love the staff who are very responsive and helpful.

You do not get to pick the temperature in your apartment. You pay for cooling and heating (not only in your apartment but for the common area as well). We were not told this or we never would have moved here. If its below a certain degrees outside (55 i think), the building automatically turns on heat and if its above 65 then it turns on air conditioning. Well, it gets up to 77 degrees in my apartment at night and it is absolutely horrible. I have turned off the thermostat and its still over 70 and I wake up several times throughout the night because its miserably hot. even with the windows open (they only open slightly so you don't get a whole lot of air from outside) but its so loud since there is a hospital outside and so many noisy cars at night that that makes it hard. Imagine how hot the gym is then.....I can't even use the gym here. Also, the garbage door for the whole floor is broken and doesn't automatically shut and people leave it open, leaving the hallway smelling HORRIBLE! I've discussed with management and the issue has never been resolved. This isn't just my floor, I know people in the building and it seems to be a problem on other floors as well. T he Dog area here is often dirty and the smells so bad, its enough to make you want to throw up. They don't irrigate it properly at all. It's disgusting. Be aware. The apartment themselves are okay but there its obvious they cut some corners here. I also was not told that my balcony door won't lock which makes me uncomfortable. This place is overpriced and there are some MAJOR issues. I wouldn't recommend for the price they charge here. Additionally some of the elevators are often out of order leading to long wait times, one person told me they waited over 15 minutes just to get on the elevator (which is an issue if you live on a higher up floor). They make you pay for parking. The parking lot is a disaster with very close spots and its 2 ways but going around the corners is very nerve racking as people fly by and you can't really see at all when making the turn. Really consider this before you get locked in here and pay thousands of dollars in rent. I was not from here and only had a quick tour before moving here from out of state and wish I had known about al these issues. The biggest the heating and cooling. Be prepared to suffer unbearable nights of sweating.

I work at Saint Marys Hospital, and residing at The Berkman has been exceptionally convenient. The amenities, including a fitness center, pool table, shuffleboard, outdoor pool, and golf simulator, provide excellent options for relaxation and exercise. The covered parking garage, equipped with EV charging stations and designated areas for residents and guests, adds convenience. The atmosphere is both comfortable and secure. While minor issues have occasionally arisen, the management team addresses them promptly. The cleaning staff maintains a high standard of cleanliness throughout the complex. The Berkman is a highly recommended choice for those working at Saint Marys or seeking proximity to the Mayo Clinic.

We live at berkman and it’s just perfect. It’s very expensive compared to other places, but it’s worth it.

Berkman is such a wonderful place to live with all of its amenities, great customer service and maintenance team. The facility is so well maintained, the great location to downtown and the conveniences are so practical, there is no reason to live anywhere but the Berkman.

I’ve really enjoyed my experience at The Berkman, largely thanks to the excellent support and service from the assistant manager, Amal Hashi. Amal consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that residents feel welcome and taken care of.

Nice residential area; amazing amenities. BUT has a stinky trash room, which is detrimental to residents' health. This foul odor extends to the hallways and elevators.

The Berkman is a fantastic apartment complex for people receiving care at Mayo. Everyone there is very caring, and staff go out of their way to make sure residents are safe and cared for. When things go wrong medically, staff are very compassionate. Being right across from Mayo St. Mary's hospital gives a great sense of safety, and the shuttle is a huge help for getting to Gonda etc if you do not have a car. I have not met a single staff member who is not kind, courteous, respectful, and friendly. The building is new and well designed. The gym is a fantastic perk. Any safety issue and staff are at your side in a heartbeat. I am very happy I chose to live here, and I plan to renew my lease.

Long time to wait for maintenance requests. I have submitted multiple maintenance requests regarding flooring of my apartment since I have moved in 2 years ago, and nothing has been done about it.

Moving into the Berkman was the easiest and most accommodating experience I have every had in relocating. They reach out to you and take care of all the work.

Great place to live, and community feel. Amenities are fantastic, and cleanliness of the building is top notch. I’m extremely happy with my choice to move here!

I have found the Berkman to be a very welcoming place. The staff are approachable and friendly, and the residents are also very nice. The amenities are great, and I appreciate the high level of security that the Berkman provides, as well as its prime location across from St. Mary's Hospital.

Awesome place to live, great staff and excellent amenities

The Berkman always had great communication with me throughout my international moving process, making the experience a very pleasant one. The apartment was delivered on the agreed date, the amenities are super comfortable and of course the great advantage of being across the street from my workplace.

If you are a Mayo patient, employee, or family member of either, the Berkman is the place for you! St. Mary's is right across the street, and the walk to Gonda, Mayo, and all the other buildings down the street is lovely and not too far plus there are shuttles from St. Mary's over to there. If you have a lot of smiles and kindness to share, there sure is a lot going around here. Come to the Berkman, you will not regret it in my opinion!

The Berkman offers a quality living option in a great location.

Love living at the Berkman. The units are nice and sound from neighbors or the hallways is minimal. The location and proximity to downtown are also great. Staff is friendly and engaging. There are occasional issues like anywhere else, but they get handled.

We've just been hear a few months but everyone has been courteous and helpful. The residents have all seemed nice.

The Berkman provides such an upscale, safe place of residence with so many amenities, and a very friendly and responsive staff.

Everyone from management to the front desk to the maintenance team has gone out of there way to help me out during some really difficult medical times in life here. We love it here. Everything we desire is at our fingertips- convenience to grocery, restaurants, secure parking, athletic facility, social areas around the building.

Its a beautiful building and great location. The decision to mix hotel rooms with apartments has turned it from luxury living to ok. There are many problems with this decision.

The Berkman has been a great place to live. Weve made a lot of friends in the building and had some great get together/parties with them.

The Berkman is a top notch complex! We love the staff - including maintenence, front desk, concierge, parking. The tenants are great, too. We have met very nice people - young and old!

The Berkman apartments are great! All of the leasing specialists are super nice and friendly and are very helpful even after you move in. The amenities are beautiful including the gym and pool, but best of all we love how our apartment looks.

Well appointed apartments at a reasonable price directly across from the Mayo Clinic St. Mary's campus! While there are many good options for housing in Rochester, I think this is probably the best option for an incoming resident at Mayo.

The HVAC hasn’t worked properly in the year I have been a tenant. Talked to 5 other people here today with same issues. I addressed with maintenance and was told to open my window at which point I’m now listening the air evac helicopter all night. Options are try to sleep while sweating or listen to helicopter. Not ideal when you’re on call.

I love coming home to a beautiful apartment right across the street from work, and being greeted by such friendly front desk staff!

This is a fantastic place to live. I've lived in several places in Rochester over the years and mothing has compared to The Berkman. Great location, great amenities and friendly residents and staff.

The Berkman offers a posh space with gorgeous panoramic views to call home, yet there is a down to earth feel from both staff and residents, as well as a consciousness about conserving global community resources (e.g., from the sophisticated apartment heating/cooling system to recycle efforts). There are regular gatherings to meet new residents and embrace the sense of community. Pets are also welcomed and celebrated.
