I like the gym. Elevators are too slow. They should open the stairwell access to allow people with fobs to walk to the garage instead of having to wait for the elevators. Maintenance also needs to wait after knocking instead of barging in. My request to the front desk to fix the pizza oven back fire 3 months ago months ago was ignored and there’s been no follow up from maintenance.

The location and the staff make this place great. The gym is great, it is walking distance to all major employment centers, and everything you need is within a 5-10 minute walk away. If you can only choose one person to work with, Darien is your guy. Completely polite, professional, and proactive. He made my move-in experience absolutely wonderful.

Overall, the Bartlett has been amazing. The only challenge honestly has been with the garage as in sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t, but other than that, the central location and the convenience of Whole Foods in the coffee shop downstairs can’t be beat!

Living in this apartment has been great, largely because of the location. Being right on top of Whole Foods is a huge convenience—whether I need to grab groceries or a quick bite, it’s all just steps away. The metro is only a few blocks away, making commuting or exploring the city incredibly easy and stress-free.

This is a great place to live. Great central location, nice gym, and your groceries are right below you! I would recommend this place. I also enjoy the occasional events put on by the Bartlett - the music, the happy hours, etc. They really add a quality of life. Also, the rooftop patios are the best.

So far things are good here. We love our unit but have had some issues with maintenance issues being resolved upon move in- such as the dock not being reserved, and many things we noted as issues in the apartment not being fixed almost 2 weeks after move in. That being said the gym is great, front desk helpful and like I said the unit is amazing

With Amazon next door lots of extra amenities. It is an easy walk to 2 dog parks, a couple restaurants, lots of cafes, and the metro stop is only 2 blocks away.

Convenient location and lots of amenities (gym, common work and entertainment spaces, pool), but management staff isn't responsive via email and it is difficult to reach them by phone, so you have to visit the office to resolve most issues. Additionally, residents are frequently not courteous about common areas - trash in heaps in the trash room instead of being put down the chutes, gym gear (weights, boxes, etc.) isn't returned to the proper location, and there are frequently elevator outages, resulting in lengthy delays. My apartment was dirty when I moved in, all of the outlet covers were missing, and some flooring was missing.

I'm a brand new resident...just moving in. So far my experience with the Bartlett staff is second to none. I looked at several places throughout the Pentagon City and Crystal City area. The Bartlett stood head and shoulders above the rest. First of all...there were real human beings in the office I could talk to. Many places kept turning me towards their app and would directly answer questions. The professional Bartlett staff gave me a world-class tour, answered all my questions, and made the leasing process super simple. I would recommend the Bartlett to anyone!

Property manager can be very rude and non responsive at times. The building also had a lot of maintenance issues in the last few years and it seems that it is never a priority to fix it.

While I have appreciated certain aspects of living here, I have been consistently disappointed with the overall quality and management of the apartment. Throughout my tenancy, I have encountered several issues that have significantly impacted my living experience. Among these issues are incidents such as the maggot infestation, multiple appliance breakdowns, frequent elevator malfunctions, and most notably, the persistently broken dishwasher in my unit since October (It is now May and my lease ends July yet it is not fixed) . The continued malfunction of the dishwasher has been particularly frustrating and inconvenient. Despite numerous requests for repair, it has yet to be resolved. Furthermore, the disparity between the price of the apartments and the quality of service and maintenance provided is glaring. As a tenant, I expect a certain level of quality and responsiveness from the management, which unfortunately has not been met during my time here.

I have been a resident for 2 months, and ordered many things online to get settled in. In turn, I am constantly picking up large boxes at all hours. The front desk has always been helpful, but Breanna really took the cake recently. I had huge stacks of boxes and couldn’t access the recycling dumpster. I felt so terrible and stressed about not understanding her directions, and feeling “in the way” of others that Breanna saw my underlying panic, and stepped up to the plate. She went out of her way to see who was using the freight elevator, and manually brought it to my level to assist me. She even picked up my boxes for me and helped me dispose of them! Overall the situation was silly, but I’m glad that she was there to lend a caring hand :)

Considered the property when my lease expire at another property locally. The property itself seems great, but I have noticed increased unhoused individuals in the area including a green tent just outside the entrance of the Bartlett door. After living in a major metro area , I am concerned the area may deteriorate or one tent turns into an encampment.

Sure, the building is nice and new, but the management is awful. Emails to management go unanswered and questions for further details are met with cookie cutter responses. The building doesn't even trust its own residents to follow CDC guidance and therefore continues requiring masks even after the most recent changes announced. Amenities could be nice, but are difficult to utilize given the number of COVID restrictions in place. For example, going to the gym requires a trip first to the front desk, where one must wait in line to drop off an ID and get a fob specifically for the gym. After your workout, you've got to go back and do it all over again. On top of it all, half the time the person working the front desk can't prioritize properly and you end up waiting 5 minutes while he searches for someone's package in the backroom before you can take all of 5 seconds to get your ID back. Additionally, some amenities, such as a fire pit in the courtyard, have not worked since I moved in months ago. I've had a repetitive issue requiring the maintenance team that has required three separate work orders. They've fixed it the same way every time and then it ends up needing to be fixed again within a week. Oh, there's also the recent spate of crime in the area and the building. A little bit ago, we got reports of multiple cars getting notices on their windshield that they were parked there illegally--somebody had been in the garage putting those notices on so they could tell which cars weren't frequently used. There was also a car vandalized/broken into around the same time. Management refuses to install security cameras in the garage, too. You're paying $110 a month for that level of security... just think about it. The bottom line is that management is unresponsive to the residents and ignores their input. I don't think the management cares about me at all, which is disappointing considering how much money I give them each month. There are a lot cheaper options in the exact same area that I'm sure would provide better service and a more positive overall experience.

Love the apartment but I sent an email to the office before Christmas and still haven't gotten a response back, even after following up 2 times. On top of that, they never replace the issues I filed when I move-in in August 2019. Its Jan 2020, still waiting on those Cabinets to come in??
