I loved living here. The most spacious one bedroom I’ve ever rented! A real bang for your buck. Love the amenities. The complex is always hosting an event. The office is very jelly and welcoming. 24 hr maintenance that comes so fast whenever anything breaks. It was awesome!!!!! I even upgraded to the 2 bd 2 1/2 bath townhouse. Loved it. Never heard my neighbors, only saw them coming and going to work. Amazing living experience. Unfortunately I have to relocate to another state for work, but I would recommend to anyone looking to move!!!!!

I have been living here for the past 2 years. Unfortunately I am relocating to another state. I have nothing but great things to say about this complex!!!. The apartments are large and spacious. The remodeled kitchen is absolutely beautiful. Over the 2 years that I have lived here Callie, Stephanie, Rob and the other young ladies in the leasing office has handled every concern genuinely and quickly. And the maintenance department is amazing. They fixed any issues quickly and thoroughly. Please do not let any less than positive reviews detour you. Take the time to visit the property and take a look. I am glad I took the time to do so. I hope my next leasing will be just as great.

The apartment carpet job is terrible. There’s wholes in the corners allowing bugs to crawl in and out of. The walls are as thin as my patience. I can hear the downstairs neighbors perfectly keeping me awake all night. The doors slam and shake the entire building. It feels like a college dorm.

We recently moved into Thalia Gardens and have found it's beyond comfortable. JB in the office helped with our application process and made sure everything was taken care of. Coming from a house to an apartment we had our concerns. However the floor plan is so spacious and we never hear noise from our neighbors. My family loves it here and the staff seem to "come running" when you call for repairs. They truly don't waste time in making sure you're comfortable and all things within the apartment are working as they are intended to. Having made several trips to the store in the middle of the night I can honestly say there is no activity in the parking lot at night. It's quiet and you feel safe going to your car, trash can or wherever. The amount of room you get for the rent you pay is amazing. I couldn't believe that I could run my apartment and utilities for so much less than I was paying for just rent elsewhere. Lastly the location is great. You really are minutes from everything. The school district for Elementary is amazing as well. We came from Norfolk where the schools are a horrible joke. If you haven't put your application in already then I don't know what you're waiting for. Seriously, stop looking because you wont find another place like Thalia Gardens anywhere.

This apartment complex claims to be dog friendly but there are never any poop bags at the poop stations and there is no space for dogs to play. I understand that poop bags at the service stations aren't a "necessity" but when you're out walking your dog and suddenly run out of your own bags, having a back up option helps keep the grounds clean. The tennis courts say no dogs allowed & if you let your well behaved dog off leash you will get reprimanded and told that you're breaking your lease. After paying a $300 one time pet fee & $30 a month pet rent PER PET, I am sure that Thalia Gardens has enough money to build a basic dog park. There is plenty of green space to throw up 4 fences & create an off leash space for dogs. Thalia Gardens hypes up how dog friendly they are, however, they need follow through and truly be dog friendly and they need to stop making their dog owners feel unwelcome.

My husband and I decided to move when we found out we were expecting and stumbled across an absolute gem in Thalia Gardens. The apartments are updated with beautiful kitchens and are so spacious. You get so much bang for the buck here! When we went to take a tour, the ladies in the office were so nice and they all worked together and even seemed to have fun while they worked. The girl who toured us doesn't work there anymore but the rest are still there and we love the atmosphere of the office and they are always putting on good events. When we go in to pay our rent they are so friendly even though it is super busy. Maintenance is great too. Sherry is super nice and Steve is my favorite tech. He always does a great job with a smile. Sometimes neighbors don't clean up after their pets and there are times when I can hear people in the hallway but you have to expect some inconvenience in an apartment complex. Overall I am very happy and I would highly recommend Thalia Gardens to anyone looking for a first home or even more space!!

Neighbors are allowed to smoke so much weed it fills your apartment, blast music all day and night, and throw garbage everywhere but if you complain about it YOU'RE the bad person and the office will retaliate towards YOU if you complain.

This is the perfect area to take walks and the stores are near. The Public library is also close by. The location is not far from my sons school. The management office are very nice and helpful people. They are more than willing to assist with any problems that may occur, big or small. The neighborhood is very quiet.
Its a 2 bedroom 2 bath room nice room size on every room also they take pets the maintenance people are very friendly indoor washer and dryer
I love it here, everybody I have dealt with are the best at what they do.

We just renewed for another 18 months. Thalia Gardens is just 5 minutes away from Towne Center where you can shop, dine, see a movie, pick up groceries, do your banking or attend a live concert. Thalia Gardens is ten minutes from the beach, convenient to the highway and a quick commute to any of three naval bases. The outstanding staff has been exceptionally kind and courteous. The few times we needed a maintenance call, the issue was addressed within the hour. My family has enjoyed the use of the beautiful pool, the gym, the playground and the tennis court. The club house is lovely. We have a large dog so we were elated to find out they welcomed large pets. They have natural gas heat so it was quite happy surprise to open our heating bill during last year's snowy winter to see that it was less than twenty dollars! If you are planning to hunt for an apartment, make sure you call Angela or Torri and put Thalia Gardens on the top of your list.
I have lived here three and a half years and it has been nothing but great. If you have a maintenance issue they address it immediately. The renting agents (Stafff) have been very accommodating and nice to me for anything I have needed. The grounds are groomed all year long beautiful complex. Love it.
My family and I have lived here for almost 3 years and the last year has been awful. It has been one thing after another. From moldy windows to leaks from the water heater and washing machine. It feels like a maintenance person is at our apartment at least once a month.
Beautiful spacious open floor plans are comforting and homey. Top amenities include a walk in closet, washer & dryer in the apartment (perfect for those of us who always forget), onsite pool, tennis courts, and workout room. Welcoming and friendly staff and maintenance. Perfect location right outside of Towne Center. Within 20 minutes of almost anything you could want or need!

For 3 years this apartment was pretty good, if you looked past the rising rent, water bugs (cockroaches), and a few sounds from below . However, in the 4th year it turned horrible. We got new neighbors below us and Thalia does not have a policy for smoking. Since the apartments were made in the 60s, they do not have good insulation and leak between apartments. Our apartment officially turned into an ash tray. We complained to Thalia and they initially attempted to "seal" the plumbing to stop it and then when we continued to complain do to the lack of results, they blew us off. I would highly recommend finding a different place if you don't like smoke and high utility bills!!!
I have been living here for five years and I have to say for the price this is a great place. Its located in the heart of downtown Virginia beach town center only minutes away from to major malls. The staff is great and maintenance is always on top of there job. I really think me and my family will be here for the next couple of years.
