West Orange is an upscale suburban community located about thirty miles west of Manhattan. The township is best known for its historic Llewellyn Park neighborhood, filled with Victorian homes that once belonged to such prominent citizens as Thomas Edison (Edison’s factory is one of the city’s distinctive landmarks as well). Most of the landscape in West Orange is covered by residential neighborhoods, with the popular Essex Green Shopping Center in the middle of town serving as the hub for shopping, dining, and entertainment.
When the weather is nice, locals love to hit the links at the nearby golf courses or explore the trails of South Mountain and Eagle Rock reservations. Seton Hall University sits just a few blocks southeast of town, making West Orange a great place for students, faculty, and staff members to live.

I am delighted to be living in my new apartment in Stone Hill with awesome amenities, given its excellent location, which includes a shopping mall directly across the street, and its convenient proximity to my workplace.
several parking issues with rude concierge and no response from leasing office. building is nice but concerning signs of water damage. amenities are nice but an additional fee. as is parking. they’re acting like a big city apartment in the suburbs.
Living here is wonderful its safe, quiet best part here all the amenities are free to the residents. Great school system for people who has a family.
Stonehill provides a comfortable, clean environment. The area has esthetic appeal which is unusual given the relative size of the community. The amenities provided are useful and maintained. The staff is courteous and extremely helpful when necessary. I have no complaints.

Great experience so far. My move-in was seamless. I love my apartment, the community is well taken care of and is quiet. The amenities are top tier and the community members are welcoming.
I have enjoyed my first year at The Stonehill. The management is very responsive to maintenance requests. The residents here are very friendly. Having a senior dog, I really like that they are dog friendly.
So far everything has been amazing! We will officially be there Thursday and we can’t wait. The move-in process has been pretty easy so far.
There was no one to meet us for our move in and walkthrough to our new apartment. We had to be handled by maintenance. We appreciate him taking the time to help us out and get us through our initial move in.

Move in went well except parking. I was given a space which was occupied. I was told that it was my spot which later in the night turned out to be wrong and at that point the concierge was r Rude and impatient.
I absolutely love it! The property is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, the amenities are endless, what more can you ask for? It’s the perfect place to be?
We love Stonehill, but our experiences between the first tour and the move-in was weird. Alexandra, who no longer works at the company, was our main contact as she gave us the first tour. She tucked at replying to emails and I remember feeling she gave us notice of certain deadlines 1-2 days before they were due. I was really surprised by how poor the communication was between us and Stonehill during those initial stages. It did make us question whether we wanted to live at the building. Now we love it. But the poor handling of replies and of deadlines by Alexandra really had left a bad impression.
Leasing staff are keen to show you the property, very accessible for questions, work orders get done on time, moving in transition was very smooth! overall great experience thus far ??

Really nice place, amazing decoration all around and really nice people working. Also really good amenities, after work is so nice to go to the gym and pool.
Nickel-and-diming is part of the modern landlord business model. It’s fine, I get it. But BNE dials that up to 11. Two dollars for every guest that comes over and needs to park. I could go on. But whatever. The real nickel-and-diming in my opinion is related to the trash chutes. They are frequently broken and unusable. This becomes the problem of the residents. A sign was put up that you have to keep your trash in your apartment until the chutes are working. Last time they were broken, it took a week for them the get fixed. So, let your garbage bags sit and rot on your floor, I guess? Or you have to walk to dispose of it in the dumpsters on the third floor, which discriminates against the pregnant, disabled and elderly. If you get fed up and leave your trash in the refuse room? Oh they WILL fine you. $100-$200. Yup. They will find you and fine you, as evidenced by constant smug emails from building management about how they are watching the CCTV cameras and they KNOW who you are if you dare do that. Don’t like your upstairs neighbor and want to move to a different unit? Oh you have to pay for that too. One month of rent. Literally just to move to a different apartment in the same building. In my last building I moved FOUR times just bc I felt like it and building management was fine with it and even encouraged it - and didn’t charge a fee. At one point the garage door was broken and stuck in the “open” position. This happened in the last building I lived in too… except they fixed it in 24 hours AND posted a security guard by the door to ensure it wasn’t a way in for trespassers. Here, it was broken for MONTHS and left totally unguarded. Anyone could have waltzed on it. Or even animals. Deer, raccoons… both animals that are in abundance in this area and carry rabies… the list goes on. It was a huge security risk and there is no excuse for something to take that long to fix, especially in a so-called “luxury” building. So if you care about safety and security… this may not be the home for you. The restroom outside the gym was also out of order for several months before they fixed it. The worst example is probably the elevator bank on the third floor. I am SO SORRY to all the third floor residents who had to hear it beep incessantly for MONTHS before it was fixed. How did you sleep? If you move here, make sure your unit is FAR away from an elevator bank in case it happens again.
Many issues with the apartment itself requiring lots of work orders within the first month. Other than that part of it, great experience all around!!

Amenities are great. Upkeep of property is terrific and maintenance is very responsive. Floors are very nice and the views are stunning. Concierge has been very helpful throughout the move in
Beautiful complex with lots of amenities, resident lounges, fully equipped gym, pool, golf simulator, pet spa, etc. Shuttle for residents to/from Orange train station. Walk to the local grocery store or Starbucks. 24-hour concierge.
Terrible management company. There is trash everywhere. The staff treats the residents awfully. The garage door was broken for 5 months. Takes months to get appliances fixed.
Professional staff in a brand new building.. what else can someone ask for! We are happy that we end up leasing here. Highly recommended to anyone who is looking for easy commute cause shuttle has been running well.
Stonehill is an amazing apartment complex! The units are well designed, modern, and cozy! I especially love all the amenities available including the pool, game rooms, gym, and pet spa! I rate this place a 10/10 and would recommend for any lifestyle!

Great staff and amenities. I wish I paid more attention to how far my apartment was from the parking garage, trash room and elevators. Bringing groceries home is a huge challenge. Currently shopping for a foldable cart to help with transport.
It was a nice smooth process. The front desk was very accommodating to my move-in time and elevator access. The staff was very kind and polite, also extremely friendly and welcoming to guest.

Despite the long process, it went well in the end. Lets see the next experiences. The only point I would recommend to revise is: we took a 18 months contract, so the incentive should be 1.5 free months, as 26 months contract considers 2 free months.

So far my resident experience has been very positive. Neighbors are friendly, lots of cure doggies, front desk staff is very helpful and friendly and maintenance calls (all minor) have happened quickly.
Very happy here. Just wish some residents would care more about the property and pick up after their dogs or throw their garbage down the trash. Also having issues with carriers like UPS and FedEx not delivering to building 3000 and sending packages back without calling recipient or sending to building 300, which is a pain.
We've visited the property a few times to view different apartments over the last few months and every visit has been met with really exceptional service team at the leasing office on the premises. Stonehill is the best! Quality, service, cleanliness and overall living conditions are everything one can ask for. Love everything about it from the people that work here, the neighbors and the immediate environment.

I am very happy to be a part of the Stonehill community. I was a little set back when I noticed that some people don't pick up behind their pets, in the front by the pond. But, all in all the place is very nice quiet and comfortable. Thank you.
It was easy and the staff were helpful with the carts. I have no complaints . I liked how they only use one elevator for the move in process . I give it a 10/10 for move in.
Superb living. It’s like a luxury hotel with all the amenities. Solid built and little to no noise. Great people, staff and surrounding area.
