Property Ratings at Stella Apartments
I have lived here for going on 3 years now. This is hands down the worst place I have ever lived in. It is alright on most days, if you can tolerate cramped parking spaces, overflowing trash rooms, and the slowest elevators on earth (which regularly are inoperable for weeks at a time). What makes this place truly awful is that periodically the building just becomes unlivable. Faulty repairs by Stella maintenance cause the power to go out for over 18 hours. A burst pipe causes the whole building to lose water access for a whole day. The garage gate breaking down after hours makes it so people have to park on the street. And throughout it all, Stella management has never offered any sort of rent credit or compromise with residents. They still will raise your rent the maximum allowable by law at the end of your term, ignoring the fact that you paid rent for days in which you did not have power or running water. Avoid living here.

Great place to live! My fiance and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time here so far, and we already renewed for next year as well. The location cannot be beat in State Thomas. Amenities are amazing - gym, pool, rooftop, other common areas. Rooftop provides an unbeatable view of the city! Underground garage is also a huge plus for security purposes. Leasing office is very responsive for all questions/concerns as well.

I had my catalytic converter stolen off my car last week in the locked "safe" parking garage. Had to come out of pocket to fix this and the community was no help. Apparently there are cameras in the parking garage however they were not able to see anything relating to the crime from these cameras. I was told by the maintenance staff this was the third one stolen this month. When i asked the leasing office what had been done they said it had been reported to the police and "more patrolling" was being done. However, obviously not since this was the third one this month. Additionally, there is no cell phone service within the parking garage so if an emergency were to happen or you were to run into a criminal within the garage there would be no way to call for help. This does make me feel safe within my own home. This is unacceptable, especially for the amount I am paying in rent monthly.

Due to the recent crime in surrounding areas, our staff is in the process of implementing increased safety measures to keep our residents and community safe. I would hesitate to recommend because the rates are high and many things are not functioning for long periods of time.
I have mentioned to many people to move to the Stella
Apartment complex is great, although the one takeaway is the overflowing trash always present in the parking garage trash cans, and the trash strewn about the parking garage which is never picked up. This is embarrassing when trying to show apartment to friends or family.
This continues to be an ongoing issue and plays into the lack of attention to living in a health pandemic. Note: there is no mandate to wear masks within the common/walking areas of the building, nor does staff wear masks when interacting with residents.
