Genesee is a uniquely shaped neighborhood wrapped around West Seattle’s vibrant Junction. Genesee offers residents a tranquil home environment draped in lush greenery. There are new town homes being built behind the B building and you will listen to nail guns at least six days a week. Right now there is hammering at 8pm. If you work from home, have small children, or enjoy peaceful nights, do not move in here.

you can see the amenities the complex boasts about, and they are, for the most part, available and functional. what they will not speak about is the abhorrent security. there is no security guard at night, as we have had in other complexes in Seattle we have lived in. in the half year I have lived here, we have had problems with storage units being broken into leisurely - enough time to go through many of the storage spaces. cars have been repeatedly broken into, and neighbors told me that they have had this problem for over a year now. the complex reacts by blaming the residents and stating they have no means of bettering the security. we're left alone with the dangers of living here, without help offered by the owners.

This complex is the most dog friendly place Ive ever lived. There's plenty of neighborhoods to walk around in, a dog run/play area on the roof, and a dog washing area that is super nice for my big dog. The community areas are very inviting and comfortable. The parking is protected and easy to get in and out of and the building as a whole seems very safe since the key fob is needed at every entrance point.

We have been living in this property since January of this year. It has a great place to live. Anytime we have encountered a situation, the issue has been taken cared of right away. The staff is extremely friendly and professional.

We really love the area, and Spruce was actually the first apartment here that caught our eye. The floorplan we were interested in wasn’t available when we first looked, but thankfully it opened up and we happily inquired and got pictures, info, and placed a hold deposit all on the same day. The amenities are great and we appreciate how friendly and welcoming the leasing staff has been. The parking is steep at $150 a car but we like our parking spots and the garage feels secure, so we’re fine with it. Being so close to everything (Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, MOD, Starbucks) is just beyond convenient. The gym is closed right now, but when it was open it had all the essentials so we didn’t have to get a membership at the LA Fitness under us.

We have beed living here since January of this year and we could not be happier. In this time of COVID, living here has felt safe and taken cared of. Great location, friendly staff, enjoyable community amenities
Apartment leasing staff is very friendly and helpful. Great building and apartment was clean and ready for move in.
I really love the community aspect here at Spruce, with the monthly gatherings and easy, online portal to share information and meet other residents, it's really nice to know we have a space to be welcomed.
Spruce is Below average for a lux aparment
Owen was awesome helping us find the perfect floor plan and move-in date. Make sure you have a list of questions to ask upon key retrieval because if it isnt one of the regular employees it is someone who floats around multiple Greystar properties and isnt as knowledgeable or helpful. Aside from that- the apartment was clean and they reserve an elevator for you for move-in which was very helpful once we asked!
