South Arlington, the area south of I-20 and bordered on the southeast side by Joe Pool Lake, provides a variety of parks, shops, restaurants, and Tarrant Community College, all just minutes from downtown. Honest Review

I’ve lived at this property for some time now, and unfortunately, my experience has not been a positive one. It's clear that many of the most recent reviews come from individuals who have only toured the property, rather than lived here. While that may be helpful for first impressions, it does not reflect the realities of day-to-day life in this community. Since moving in, there has been a consistent turnover in management, and each new manager has presented new challenges. The current manager appears to be more focused on promoting the property via social media platforms like TikTok rather than addressing ongoing operational and maintenance issues. Sadly, it also seems that some of the more competent staff members, such as Robin—who was exceptional—are not retained. Maintenance and cleanliness across the property are major concerns. Common areas are often littered with garbage, and pet waste is frequently left unattended. There’s been a persistent leak on one building that has gone unresolved for so long it has resulted in algae growth and standing water in the parking lot. Additionally, one of the trash collection areas is nearly unusable due to accumulated mud and poor drainage, making it especially difficult to access after rain. Another significant concern is the lack of supervision for children on the property. There have been repeated incidents of property damage, including broken windows, graffiti, and unsafe behavior such as throwing large rocks or concrete blocks from the second floor. In one case, I personally had to return a toddler who had wandered off because the older children responsible for watching her were not mature enough to handle the responsibility. While I did report a serious safety concern—backed with video footage—to management, the response was both inadequate and unprofessional. Instead of addressing the issue confidentially, the manager reportedly disclosed who made the complaint, which created tension with neighbors. Overall, the property suffers from poor management, lack of accountability, and a general disregard for tenant well-being. While there may be some residents who enjoy their experience here, I feel compelled to share my honest perspective so that others can make a more informed decision.

Maintenance is horrible and you'll pay the price.

I should have known when I moved in and my neighbor told me he can fix anything because maintenance is horrible I picked the wrong spot . Upon moving in I realized that my apartment was not move in ready. Several things were broken the toilet being one of them. It took 2 months for them to come fix my toilet which led to water being wasted since it kept running. On Jan 3rd I logged in and noticed that my water bill was over $200 for a two br apartment. I called them and left a message which I have the screenshot and never received a call bk. On the 4th I went inside the office so my invoice could be corrected and it still wasn't done I went back into the office on the 5th and finally they gave me my correct balance so my rent can be paid. Oh, but this time it has two days worth of late days that they want to charge me because they had my invoice incorrect. Oh and half of the stuff when I moved in still has not been worked on. My waterheater broke last month while I was gone. I was told to come in days before the 1st to let know about the invoice instead of them doing their job and correcting it. Don't move here it's a waste. Can't wait for my lease to be over.

BAD MOVE IN EXPERIENCE

I just signed the lease and I already have problems with them. They are REALLY slow at communicating with you. There is no sense of urgency from them. The unit that I lease do not resemble anything the one that I was shown. The one I was shown was updated with cabintes, countertops, nice paint and new light fixtures. I was expecting something that resembled that. However, the one that I have looks old, it's dirty the light fixtures are old and rusty, the cabinets are old and uneven, the paint job is nasty, the front door is dirty and peeling off. I have related all of these issues to them, but nothing has been resolved. I paid to move in early to have an easy uneventful move but now I can't even move in. I am paying for days that I can't use the apartment. I was told that the cabinets are in back order, and they are supposed to be in the future. That is going to be an inconvenience to have to a construction crew while I live there. I am NOT looking forward to live here for the next year. Stay tune with updates regarding my experience with them.

Great Place to live

I have stayed here for 7 years now. Desi and Destany are super awesome. If you have an issue they will take care of it promptly. They are very professional and caring and that's the reason I continue to stay here. This is a place that I call home. It's close to major highways and surrounded by great schools.

Horrible apts

If i could give a 0 i would.... Southpoint villas is not what it appears to be.... When we first moved in all the drains were clogged. They came to supposedly fix it nope they still were clogged. We needed a new drain disposal and instead they just "fixed" it until again i had to tell them its not working. Then weeks later our stove isn't working. This is ridiculous!!! Up until last night out fire alarm went off because of a malfunction of a 3rd floor being flooded. Not mention this happened a week ago as well. So many issues that they don't fix it yet they expect rent on 1st

DO NOT LIVE HERE! MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE!

We moved here last August and the pool closed down for the WINTER in September. It is now July and its still closed! When we asked why they said it "fails inspection" and the volleyball court is inoperable and the gate never works. They might as well remove pool and gated community from their website. They never answer the phone and they always leave early. Maintenance requests are not taken seriously and P.S. it always smells like pot!

The staff is not responsive, and my maintenance orders have been ignored.

The day I moved in the Apartment reeked of Cigarette smoke. These units are supposed to be smoke free. I have brought it to their attention multiple times throughout the last few weeks, and they have yet to even comment on it. The staff is not responsive, and my maintenance orders have been ignored. The issues listed below are still ongoing. - The apartment has the cigarette smell - The shower handle is broken, so I cannot change the water temperature. - The carbon filter in the microwave reeks of cigarette smoke. I cannot cook without spreading the smell around the apartment. I have brought these issues to their attention 2 weeks ago. They have yet to even acknowledge them

Terrible place to live!!

I wouldn’t recommend this apartment community to anyone. Loud, noisy, inconsiderate, neighbors, they basically let anyone come live here now. Not a family friendly or safe complec. The previous management company was wonderful they actually cared about their tenants and listened to concerns...

Chesterfield apartments is the place to be! Ms Oldham rocks!

I came in about a week ago, I had been looking an looking for an apartment they were all nice an beautiful but I'm really big on customer service because if the customer is not all that great from the beginning I truly believe you'll have problems in the future. Every I went no one had anything to show but never had a a problem taking my money! I explain that I'm moving from a house an I really need to make sure everything can fit so out of the 6 I looked at I only saw 2 ... I walked in chesterfield apartments an was greeted by Ms Oldham she was on here way to lunch but didn't mind at all helping me, she was Pleasant, nice, an didn't make me feel rushed at all as a matter of fact she made me feel at home before I even filled out an application. I told her about all the furniture I had an she pretty much let me know what would fit an what wouldn't... she gave me a tour of the whole property an a virtual tour of another apartment when we got back.... she had wonderful customer service an made me feel at home... now this is a place I would to make home! Decent enough

There is nothing spectacular about this place. They charge far too much for what you're getting. Near a high school so you have to deal with traffic and teenagers. Unfriendly neighbors are of abundance here. You can never find parking if you come home late & there are creatures that roam the premises at night. Dogs in just about every apartment so don't step in the grass. Pool is decent but bathroom attached is pitiful. Mangers are not pleasant other than the Mellanie, who they chased away. Walls are great from our location I barely hear neighbors other than outside leaving for work. Also, it would be nice to have curbside trash due to the pricing.
