Overall I love it here… Overall it’s great here. I love it. The only complaint I have is VISITOR PARKING. Granted they have been trying their best, but the current set up is something to be desired. Paying 5 bucks after 6 and on weekends no matter where you park or for how long is crazy to me. We did have an issue with people staying in the 6 visitor spots for days on end but now i feel like the situation is worse… but like I said. I have no issues with anything else so i cant realllly complain. But i do wish they would ask us for our input.

The amenities of the apartment are great! Location is close to everything in Arlington. Maintenance is always helpful!

Maintenance There was a 24 hour response to my issue . The maintenance guy fixed the issues swiftly and was very friendly

The apartments aren’t bad, other than my floor randomly growing bumps in it and maintenance doing nothing about it…but honestly it’s a nightmare if you work from home. There is constant construction going on and it sounds like it’s right above your head even if it’s coming from a unit multiple floors below you. I understand needing to do upgrades but the worst part is that the leasing office doesn’t notify residents of when there will be construction. If they do, an email is sent out the morning of, usually after the construction has already started. If I knew when there would be construction, I’d make plans to go into the office, but communication is terrible here. It’s impossible to have meetings or to get anything done from home with the constant banging and it doesn’t seem like it will end anytime soon.

Ive been a resident at 55 Hundred Graystar for a little over a year now and I can firmly say that the staff especially the maintenance staff has always met my satisfaction. The maintenance staff and engineering crew will get back to you within 24 hours unless its an emergency which in that case, they will get back to you very promptly. I recently had an AC concern and it was handled and fixed within 24 hours with a very attentive staff and with the best customer service where they reassured my concerns and fix the problem.

This is my second year at 55 Hundred and although I had a rocky start with them, I have grown to love the community. I love the different floor plans and the amount of natural light we get into the apartment. I wish that it was easier for us to access our amenities right now since the concierge is not always in place for us to get to our designated area when we have a reservation.

Guest parking situation is always a poor experience. Equipment in gym has been broken for years and is never fixed.

We just moved and from the beginning just so happy of had chosen 55 hundred where everyone appears to be willing to make this a nice place to live - we love how clean are all common areas, hallways even the Parking . Management is kind and supportive.

55 Hundred has been home for over 5 years. The building is well built and very quiet. The pool has been the most important amenity for my children and we have enjoyed the huge gym as well.

This place is generally clean and safe, with responsive management.

The location of 5500 apartments makes it less than ideal for moving vans and any kind of delivery truck or car driver. The construction on Columbia Pike is a little bit hazardous and therefore I wouldn't recommend anyone moving to this area for a while until it is completed

Overall, a really great apartment in a great location right outside of DC. Love the layout of the rooms and the amenities are a great addition. So far my roommate and I are really enjoying living here!

The apartments themselves are updated and pretty nice inside. While the apartments are pretty affordable for the area-the upkeep and service not worth the low price. You have to pay for an assigned spot in the parking garage that they advertise as "secure", I have lived in the building for 2 years and the garage door has been broken on and off the entire time. This most recent stint has been going on 6 months now. While the maintenance team here is great-The building is not kept up, doors are routinely broken (and then duct taped open making the secure key fob system irrelevant). In the winter I have walked out into the lobby multiple times to homeless people sleeping inside because the door doesn't lock that faces out to Columbia Pike. The complex manager is completely unresponsive and always seems to be flustered. Many units have mice and instead of addressing the problem the manager will continue to send the same pest control worker to your unit over and over again to just lay sticky traps. Two of the 4 treadmills in the gym have been broken for an entire year (other than that the gym is pretty nice). The pool is tiny, never cleaned, and over run with children. Referencing a previous review from a year ago- residents still smoke weed throughout the complex including the stairwells where they leave their discarded cigarettes and blunts. I would not recommend this complex.

I was uncertain at first about the location until I reached the location in an area that I was very familiar with. The concierge was friendly and professional. The leasing agent who showed us the property on the first visit was exceptionally professional. After viewing more than 8 other properties and on the second showing the decision was made. Beautiful, safe, clean, secure and convenient, they also provide free shuttle to the metro! Very impressed.

If I could give 55 Hundred zero stars or negative stars, I would!!!! Do NOT be fooled by the glossy pictures. If you are looking for a clean, up-to-date place to live, this is NOT the place. Compared to other apartment communities in this price range, 55 Hundred lags behind the pack. While the floor plans might be tempting, everything else beyond there is lacking. The carpets were clearly worn and not replaced upon my move-in; they were cleaned and the apartment was closed up before they dried, resulting in a musty smell. The building has an institutional feel with dark trim and lighter walls. I feel like I'm in a dorm room. The management is completely unresponsive to complaints. Though 55 Hundred is marketed as a "Clear Air" residence, it is NOT. My neighbor smokes and has continued to smoke despite my complaints since I moved in 8 months ago. The management is also hesitant to enforce parking rules. Another resident parked their car in my RESERVED spot despite knowing that they shouldn't be parked there. The management refused to have the car towed and I was inconvenienced during the entire debacle. Honestly, if I'm paying $100 per month to have a parking space, I expect to have a parking space. While there is a shuttle to Pentagon City, the schedule is minimal and is not conducive to a commute into DC. So if you are thinking this is a great location close to everything, thing again. I'm counting the days until my lease is expired.

I lived here for 2 years and wish I left sooner. It cost $140/month for a parking spot and $7/day for a guest parking pass. The property manager is an incredibly condescending woman. She walks around like she owns the place like some supreme enforcer. Your appliances will break and will never be fixed. After 10 work orders you think they would replace an appliance, but instead they'll just write you off as not knowing how to use your dishwasher or thermostat properly.

Close to everything. Really good management; very quick to respond to repairs or any issues. Very clean property. Safe and really comfortable. Beautiful home. Love it here.
