Kensington is a small suburban community located about ten miles north of Washington, D.C., and four miles from Bethesda. The terrific location makes Kensington a popular choice among commuters who work in the nation’s capital and the surrounding areas but prefer a quieter home environment. The town center features a charming assortment of locally-owned shops and restaurants, and the beautiful parks along the banks of Rock Creek provide great opportunities to enjoy the tranquility of nature.
Just outside of town, the Westfield Wheaton shopping mall anchors a large commercial district to the northeast, and the Strathmore performing arts center to the northwest attracts an eclectic lineup of musicians and other artists to its unique stages. If you prefer not to drive, you can always ride a MARC train to many of the surrounding cities via the orange line.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Silver Creek Senior Living 62+
We have lived at the Silver Creek Senior Living for a little over three years. The managers that we currently have, Keara Fleet and Fitsum Tadesse, are the best. They strive to keep us happy and active. Since we are Seniors, being around them make us feel so young. It's because of them that our stay here at the Silver Creek Senior Facility is so pleasant.
