Wonderful apartments with a catch

I have lived at Schurmeier Lofts for approximately a year and a half. I love the design and amenities of the apartments. I currently rent a studio and while I have appreciated some aspects of my time living here, the maintenance has been less than stellar and I will be moving at the end of my current lease. I had to go without A/C for several months in the summer as the maintenance tech did not know or did not bother to reset the condensation shut off valve and demonstrated a degree of negligence. An outside contractor that eventually was called got a ladder, looked at it, and immediately recognized the problem and solution. I am currently in a similar predicament with too much heat flowing into my unit during the winter even though I have the heat off. I was told to keep the windows open, again, by the same maintenance tech, without him bothering to inspect or look at the Bosch system. The units are lovely though. I prefer 68-72, not 74-79 degrees, and constantly repositioning several fans I have purchased.

Top notch property management

Although we ended up not renting with Schurmeier this time, I wanted to leave a review in regard to the service level of the current property manager. We were able to meet on short notice on a Friday afternoon and we spent quite some time touring several of the well-appointed lofts on offer. It is clear the manager has genuine concern for current and prospective tenants and their enjoyment of the building. If you are on the fence regarding renting here, it is obvious they will take good care of you. If we are in the market for a loft in Lowertown anytime in the future, Schurmeier will be our first choice.

Beautiful building, excellent property management.

Schurmeier Lofts are incredibly beautiful and unique while being modern and updated. The building itself is an old wagon factory very recently converted into apartments, with each unit slightly different from the next . Nothing was overlooked in the renovation - the details really show the love and care that went into the renovation. The location is exceptional, a very quick walk to all Lowertown has to offer. The property management are also exceptional. Marianne, the manager, is extremely personable and helpful, she was willing to show me every single unit I was interested in twice before I signed a lease (it's hard to decide when they're all gorgeous and unique!). The building is very well kept and, and there is on-site maintenance for any issues. Highly recommend.
