Northwest Flint and Flushing consists of a large suburban area located to the northwest of central Flint. Depending on where you live, the commute into downtown ranges from three to 13 miles. For an easy drive into downtown, look for apartments for rent near the I-75 corridor or in the north part of the neighborhood near I-475. Flushing features great views of the river, close-knit communities, appealing schools, and a historic downtown. Locals enjoy attending a variety of summer and holiday festivals. Corunna Road and Linden Road act as the commercial hotspots in Northwest Flint, and there, restaurants dish up a range of treats, from burgers to curries.

Property Ratings at Riverwood Luxury Apartments
The apartment with the community is very clean and safe. Kellie, Tami, Jason and Nate are working very hard to keep it the same. They respond to every request quickly and get the job done effectively. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for an apartment near this area.
The apartment is not all that luxury so they should take it out the name. There’s a lot of pot holes that they won’t fix they just patch it up and you have to avoid them so the pot holes won’t damage your car. Inside of the apartment are not luxury just looks like an regular apartment, it just has an electric fireplace. Rent goes up every year and rent is supposedly to increase by 5% by law. But there’s no improvement at all. Make it harder trying to rent for an apartment that’s not even all that. Tbh.
Riverwood is easily the nicest apartment complex in the area. I had the 2 bedroom which worked excellent for me as an office while working from home. Complex grounds are well maintained and clean. Area is quiet during the evening and safe. Management staff is very friendly and quick to respond to any issues that may arise. If you are looking for an apartment in the area, I cannot recommend any higher than Riverwood.

This apartment complex is the nicest one I have found in this area. I looked around for a year before I decided on living here. I am so glad I chose Riverwood Apartments for my new home. The manager is very kind, caring, efficient and is always willing to help the tenants in any way she can. In the years I have been here, I have never witnessed Tami being rude or uncaring to anyone. If anything, she goes out of her way to be as helpful as is possible. The rest of the staff is efficient also. If I have an issue that needs to be looked at, they come to look over whatever is going on and they fix the problem right away. We, at Riverwood, are an extremely lucky group to have Tami and her staff looking out for us.
I have lived here for nearly 6 years, The apartment is great, but the manager is very rude. There is an abandoned vehicle in front of my place that was left by a resident that moved out last month. This vehicle does not run and has plates that expired 2-17. It is sitting in a spot that is very badly needed. When I called the office about the situation, the manager was quite offensive. This is not the first bad experience I have had with her. I cannot recommend this complex to anyone
Quiet, safe and only minutes away from McLaren Hospital and Hurley Medical Center! Perfect for any resident or medical student who don't want to make the 20 minute drive to Grand Blanc and often have to come and go at all hours of the day and night and want to feel safe. Highly recommend!
Just stay away from this apartment and you will be good. The manager is sooooooo rude and disrespectful. The walls are made of paper and you can here your neighbors snoring at night. I am exaggerating. I could not sleep since my neighbor was snoring. The stairs are always dirty and never cleaned up.
During the last two years, I have found it to be a quiet, safe and beautiful place to live. Some of my favorite features are the washer and dryers in the unit, and the 8x10 storage area with every apartment. I appreciate the dog park, children's play area and the fitness room. My neighbors are thoughtful, caring people who are always smiling and ready to lend a hand if needed. (Early one Sunday morning, I found a neighbor cleaning the snow off the cars of all of the people who go to church) I have never had a problem with maintenance service and the two maintenance people with whom I have had contact were very professional. Everything is fixed quickly and properly without question. I do not know who owns this complex or how to contact them, but if I could I would tell them that Riverwood Luxury Apartments is blessed with an amazing office manager. They are extremely lucky to have Tami! She goes out of her way to make this complex feel like home with decorations and sweet smells. She not only works in the office but can be found doing landscaping and other duties when necessary. She takes pride in this complex and works hard to keep it beautiful and to give tenants what they need. Riverwood is lucky to have her. The only negative comment I have would be an issue with ice in the parking lots and on the sidewalks. I think they need to hire more people to help with snow removal and de-icing. That being said, I have lived in several different apartment complexes, and I believe this is, by far, the best place to live.
Fantastic apartments with easy access to local schools, hospitals, universities, stores, and even cornfields. Almost halfway between downtown Flint and downtown Flushing, you get your pick of amenities. The grounds are well maintained, including a pool, small gym, charcoal firepits, and even a hammock in summer. The staff are very friendly, and extremely helpful. (They once dug my car out of a snow drift for me!) Free parking, private entrance, balcony, and ensuite laundry are standard. The only downside is that the apartments are carpeted, but no one is perfect.
