Renaissance Bay

I have lived at Renaissance Bay for almost three years. They have made incredible improvements to the gym, the pool and all of the community areas. The staff is amazing. They try to bring in food trucks and vendors and they do everything they can to make our living experience wonderful. The maintenance staff is AWESOME. They are responsive and get issues fixed quickly. I've lived in many complexes and this one is the only one that feels like an actual home.

My husband and I moved into RB 2 months ago and we absolutely love it!! The apartments have been beautifully renovated. The open floor plan is one of the best I have seen for apartments on Long Island. Plenty of closet and cabinet space, the walk in pantry is an amazing bonus! The area is quiet; we don’t hear our neighbors from our apartment which was very important to us when picking a place. The staff is exceptional. If something needs to be fixed you put in a request and it’s answered promptly. Nicole in the office is amazing. She helped us moved in and kept us well informed throughout the process. On top of that the amenities are great! Outdoor pool, indoor pool, gym, sauna, dog park, playground, fire pits and more. It’s also conveniently located close to Sunrise and the LIE. Highly recommend

I have lived here for 14 years and under the new management, the upgrades and amenities that have been added our gorgeous. The maintenance team has improved. The office has improved. It’s easy to contact anyone and get any issues resolved. It’s a great place to live.. My children love being able to play outside in a safe space with all of the neighbors. The clubhouse has great amenities as well.. Very spacious floorplans overall it’s a great place to live

Living in Senior villas for three years. Renovated apartment is beautiful… minor issues are corrected promptly. Location near main clubhouse is great… maintenance areas are clean and organized. Fun to see work crews hurrying about every day. Amenities have been increasing as renovations continue. Commons area gardens are beautiful- residential gardens need help. Interesting mix of neighbors… it is what you make it.

I just love living here it's quiet my neighbors are respectful the maintenance crew very prompt and clean and knowledgeable parking is not an issue there are many events in the clubhouse the gym the pools indoor and out are well kept and clean just a wonderful place for 55 plus person or family to live I highly recommend it

Apartments look beautiful & the area I live in is peaceful.

I have been in my apartment for eight years, and I am very glad I made this choice. I love the layout, with a spacious master bedroom and a spare room that I use for working out. There is a comfortable-size living room, an eat-in kitchen and enough closet space to house all of my belongings. Of course an apartment complex is only as good as the people who run it. From the office personal to the maintenance crew, the staff is at once accommodating and friendly, fulfilling every need with a cheerful smile. The complex features two clubhouses, one for seniors and a main clubhouse that is loaded with amenities. When you first walk into the main clubhouse, you are greeted with unsurpassed elegance. A quick tour reveals a beautiful ballroom, an impressive fitness center, an indoor pool, a pool table and four large screens for watching tv and movies. Outside, showcases a magnificent outdoor pool, a barbecue area, a playground for the youngsters, pickleball and volleyball courts and even a dog park for your precious pooch. I would heartily recommend this apartment complex for anyone and everyone of any age. If you're looking for a wonderful place to live, well, all I can say, it doesn't get any better than Renaissance Bay.

Nice place to live. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Been here about 9 years. Never really had a probelm. Maintenance staff are courteous and respectful. They do what needs to be done.

I’ve lived here almost 2 years, I feel safe, welcomed by my community and made fabulous friendships. The staff has been more than accommodating. I enjoy taking part in as many activities as I can. Winning bingo is always a bonus on Friday night. I swim as often as I can and enjoy the indoor pool. The food trucks on Friday nights are also a wonderful bonus and very delicious. I give rennisance, Bay a five star rating!

I have seen reviews that say the maintenance staff is not responsive. I have lived here for over a month and a half and found this to be completely untrue. The maintenance staff is knowledgeable, friendly and quick to respond. Service requests are easy to submit on the website, I love living here.

Originally I gave renaissance a great review but things have gone downhill. I’ve lived here with my wife since April. We had some issues with our apartment when we moved in but Lisa and the maintenance crew fixed them right away. We recently had some issues with the ceiling in the bathroom and Randy the maintenance manager and Randall were so helpful. They came right away and fixed our ceiling. Any time I reach out to the staff here my concerns are handled quickly and in a professional manner. I’m grateful that we moved here and am excited about all the new things Renaissance Bay has in store in the future! Edit: So I’m revising my review. Recently there has been an uptick in police activity and theft in the area. Our neighbors car got all 4 of their tires taken off and the car left sitting on rocks. When I called management they said they ‘knew about it.’ No additional security was put in place. Some type of construction is being done on the property and the parking lot lights got cut. It’s dark out to begin with and now it’s pitch black walking from your car in the parking lot to your apartment. The general manager was fired, they haven’t found a permanent replacement and concerns aren’t being addressed in a timely manner. When I mentioned that our vanity smelled like mold and dampness I was told there was no mold. Keep in mind we were told this apartment was just renovated. Maintenance asked us ‘do you keep the plastic shower curtain inside the tub?’ As if we’ve never used a shower curtain before and it wasn’t due to their neglect and the fact that most these apartments haven’t been renovated since at least the 80s. As a whole management seems to only be interested in getting old tenants out and raising the rents of the apartments, and redoing them in a shoddy manner to trap new tenants. I can’t wait until our lease is up and we can get out of here. In addition, the outdoor pool, dog run and barbecue area that really sold us on the complex in early 2021 is still not completed. Our apartment also had a roach problem, and I’ve never lived somewhere that had roaches even when I lived in college upstate in an apartment that had a dirt floor. Management only brought in an exterminator because I complained and said it was unacceptable, but other tenants say that this has been an ongoing problem for years.

Do not move to Renaissance Bay. The place is a dump! My apartment amongst many others are infested with roaches. Management refuses to do anything about the problem. Everyone in my area is moving out due to the poor management and disgusting conditions they force us to live in. Do not move to Renaissance Bay.

Can't wait to leave this poorly managed, poorly maintained property. They are crazy to raise rents for this rat hole...

Where do I start? There is cigarette smell coming from neighboring apartments, nothing is done about it. There is police here at least every other day for some crazy person or a domestic violence case. The apartments are just old ladies with makeup. Cheap cabinets, cheap counters, college dorm size refrigerator. Electrical problems not fixed. Cheap floors already coming up, paint peeling, day laborers they use for the “renovations” drive the gold carts all over the grass turning it into a muddy pit and dirt tracks everywhere. There is nothing “luxury” about Renaissance Bay Patchogue.

I have lived here way over 30 years and have NEVER had an issue! My neighbors have become my lifetime friends. These are the largest apartments around and so close to every store or anything you will ever need! I am so excited about Renaissance Bay becoming the new owners as all the upgrades coming look Amazing ??

I just moved here from a luxury apartment complex to save some money because this place is WAY more affordable compared to my old overpriced apartment...and the apartment interiors are exactly the same!

Only a positive experience for me so far. Very happy to call it my home

These apartments are definitely a good size and not a price either. Been here for a little over two years now and I’ll probably be here for a few more until I buy a house.

I moved here because it was clean and affordable. I also like the amenities a lot. There have a lot of stuff here. Two Pools, tennis court, gym, clubhouse. I think they’re about to add a business center supposedly too

I have lived here (formally la bonne vie) for almost 11 years. I have had no major complaints, everyone who works here is super nice, and I’m excited to see what the new owners do to it.

No issues at all honestly. No big ones at least. Which to me is a big deal since I have lived in other complex’s where it was one nightmare experience after another. Office people are friendly, and maintenance is good too. All in all pretty decent place to live.

I had to come on here and say thank you to the maintenance guys. The really are fantastic. I had an issue the other day in my apartment and they were there so fast. And surprisingly with a smile on their faces too even though it was late at night and I really appreciated that.

I just moved in and I’m definitely impressed. My mom used to live here years ago before they renovated so I know what they used to look like. Now they have granite counters and stainless steel in the kitchen. It’s so nice now. And I have a nice walk in closet too.

Ive now been living here for a little over 2 years now, I just recently signed another renewal. The girls in the office are just really nice and willing to help.

Everyone I’ve spoken to here has just been so professional and courteous and made the whole process of moving so easy. I can’t wait to move out of my current apartment and get into my new place.

When I first found out it was under new ownership I was a little worried but now after meeting the new staff and seeing what the updates look like I’m really happy. It’s going to be so nice here when it’s all done.

I was a little nervous because of the older reviews, but I guess they are under new ownership and there’s all new staff. Everyone there was really nice and professional.

My apartment is so perfect and really big. There’s so much closet space. Really loving the granite countertops and the stainless steel appliances!

I’ve been living here for 5 years now and I really do have nothing but good things to say. They also just now got bought out by new owners which was definitely welcomed because of all the renovations they plan on doing to bring this place up to date.

The apartment itself has been enjoyable. Large and more affordable than the rest of the island (but the rent goes up every single year). The office staff have gone out of their way to be incredibly rude each time we've dealt with them. It's like they enjoy being short, curt, and condescending. Their hours are difficult for normal working adults to ever meet with them and they make no effort to work with their paying tenants. They charge you each year to use the pool and amenities and the AC Units are all from 1985- along with the dishwasher.

The only good thing about this place is the price for the size. The women in office are miserably rude, the maintenance guys do sub-par work, and half the time the water is either brown or ice cold or both. They will do whatever they can to get more money out of you specially from your deposit when you leave. Terrible place
