Proximity has partnered with ‘A Step Above Towing’, which is a sketchy tow company, that they are using to extort the residents. They will tow your car the day your tags expire and everyone throws their hands up as if they are not to be blamed. There was no correspondence sent regarding this tow company change and after communicating with the leasing office they said this announcement is on the resident portal. Well low & behold after checking this resident portal the tow info is WRONG!!! I actually enjoyed living here but it’s so unsettling to be robbed by the place you call home. Just be careful when leasing not only from Proximity but Greystar as a whole. Also, once you arrive to the tow lot, it is clearly someone’s home that they threw a fence around to put the cars in. They will take over an hour to arrive and tell you that you can only get your car by appointment. Also they only take cash, they will not provide you change if you don’t have exact change. They will also charge you extra if they find out that you contacted the police.

I love my apartment I’ve been living here for about 10 months, anything that was needed from maintenance or management, they don’t waste time and get it done quickly as possible. I’m very pleased with my experience as a resident at Proximity Northlake.

I love Proximity. It’s clean, it’s easy on the eyes, and it feels welcoming. The overall community seems to work together to keep the place in shape. The amenities offered are nice to use and having 24/7 access is great. I have yet to use the food truck, or the group activities set via email, but I love the idea of it. Especially during the holidays.

I'm just gonna start out by saying shout out to Jamaal (in the office) and Marco and Miguel (maintenance guys). I moved here in September of last year and Jamaal was a great help with making my decision after looking at numerous apartments. He was very kind, friendly and any minor issues I had moving in he made sure to get them taken care or answer any questions. He'll definitely take care of ya. Since I've stayed here, I literally have nothing bad to say...other than some residents not picking up after their pets.. any maintenance get resolved quickly! Miguel and Marco are on it and super nice! Overall apartment is very spacious and up to date, haven't had any bug issues or noise issues. Neighbors are friendly. Can't wait for the pool this summer!

While proximity northlake has a beautiful campus and charming apartment layouts, the rent is extremely too expensive. There are no added amenities such as valet trash. We were recently given a security team but I have never seen them around the campus. The office staff is very nice as well. If the rent were to decrease, I would look to renew my lease but I don’t believe that will happen.

I’ve been living at Proximity for three years and I must say this is one of the best complexes I have ever stayed in . The grounds are well maintained, the maintenance team responds quickly ,and the leasing office staff is always helpful . No complex is perfect and we have had some incidents, but that is the reflection of the growing city. Management does their best to keep us informed and implement new things, to help with the crime in the city. I can tell the difference from the previous management to now. We have more resident events and the staff communicates more efficiently. I highly recommend Proximity if you are looking in the Northlake area!

I have lived here for a year now, and it started out nice, but it has gone all the way down. There's trash on the sidewalks, dog poop everywhere, including the sidewalks, people parked in spaces with no parking tags (property management says there is security and that they drive around), however, I came home and had to park in guest parking and my car was broken into and window shattered. Don't bother complaining to management because it doesn't help and you will be rushed off the phone and the phone hung up loudly in your ear. I have witnessed people trying to kick in doors during arguments, I have witnessed "transactions" happening, the community/buildings smell like weed constantly, even though these are "smoke free" buildings. My packages have been stolen from my door recently (this didn't happen before). So, I guess that's just the negative part about living in an over priced apartment these days. I renewed my lease only because it's difficult to move, but I definitely will not renew again after this.

Complex is very loud at night with residents using the pool after hours. We were told there is a courtesy officer, however we have never seen them. We only decided to stay for 1 lease.

I really enjoyed Proximity Northlake when I first moved in. The office staff is professional and friendly, the amenities were great and kept up nicely, and the neighborhood was overall diverse but quiet. As the lease progress there were noticeable disturbances with new neighbors and the amenities no longer seemed as welcoming to enjoy (ie- beautiful pool area but NOT respected by certain residents). As someone who works remotely comfort in my space and environment mean a lot and this community hasn't lived up to the expectations set initially. From a management perspective, I felt like my work order wasn't taken seriously and should not have went on as long as it did. Then to be told I would receive a concession for one amount via email and for it not to be honored when the actual charges posted was the last disappointment for me. At this point I am here to finish out my lease but I would never recommend this community to any apartment shopping in Charlotte.

I especially appreciate the incredible service and professionalism of Marcos Rada, the maintenance technician here. Everytime I needed assistance or had an issue with something at my apartment, I received fast and friendly service. It has been a pleasure getting to know him and his team. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice and comfortable place to live.

“Listen this is a great place to call "home". Taejh is truly amazing. She always greets you with a smile and she’s very helpful to our needs, and are quick to attend to any problems that arise . The grounds and facilities are kept clean every day by friendly courteous workers. The workout rooms are open 24//7 are rarely crowded and the pool area is lovely. I love the convenience of the on-site car wash & beautiful pond. . I live here with my daughter and we could not feel safer anywhere else....a beautiful neighborhood!

I toured with Poli last month and moved in this past week. I love that the community is minutes from shopping and the highway. The community is well kept and beautiful. I am glad to call Proximity home.

My husband and I scheduled a tour with Jamaal who was amazing! He was able to answer all our questions and gave us great information which was helpful since we are new to NC. The only reason we couldn't rent this property was because we couldn't pre-lease for the month we wanted due to the price difference. The deal we got was perfect if it was for an immediate move in. But all in all the property looked great. At least from what we saw when touring.

For the price of rent, I think a person would be happier some where else. Living here, you can expect the rent to drastically increase while your quality of life drastically decreases.

Staff are extremely helpful and nice. Complex is well maintained. Internet speed is top teir. Community seems friendly and respectful.
I love the community and the people, the office staff is great
Trash collection is inadequate. Often overflowing. Same true for recycling, which is not recycled. Overflow of discarded furniture. Pets off leash. Owners failing to collect pet waste. Marijuana use evident. Not reflective of upscale apts.
The previous management was amazing . My second renewal year new management came and it all changed. My microwave went out. The key fob entry left me locked out twice . The pest were extreme from ants spiders, beetles to others I can’t even name. I requested control and let them know it was an allergy issue and no sense of urgency. Left me with scars from ants all in my clothes and bed. After I purchased traps myself it was a nightmare. My kitchen sink pipes bursts and water flowed my entire apartment. The walls are extremely thin , loud neighbors above . There’s never anywhere to park . Grills are always broken . It’s a typical quiet community . It’s extremely hard to ever get the leasing office on the phone .

I see you called in for pest control on 6/22. Pest control is out every Friday but unfortunately we did not have service Friday 6/24/22. This is definitely an area where we can improve our service and communication! I would love the opportunity to speak with you about the flood in your unit. Proximity is a very great neighborhood and well worth checking out if you are looking for new place to reside. The neighborhood is very friendly and the landscape is always taken care of. Maintenance request are always taken care of with 24 hours and most times even less than that! The amenities provided (pool, fitness center, game room) are always clean and good place to go and enjoy time away from your apartment but it still made to feel like home! I love it here at Proximity!

I enjoy living here. Clean, small (but growing) community. Location is close to center city, yet still far enough for a quieter setting. The leasing and maintenance staff are very warm and attentive. Thank you!
