Plaza Towers

I enjoy going to the gym and reading, so I was glad to live in Plaza Towers. It’s a quit good place with surrounding good people. I would really appreciate if a day in a month should be their an event in a club house about discussing innovative thoughts .

I have noticed many changes and it is very good.I absolutely love of the staff in the leasing office! They are so kind to me and my sons.Whenever I have issues going on I can always be reassured that they are here to help.

I came for a tour with Julio. He was very friendly and welcoming and explained the features of the building well ensuring I felt confident in my new apartment hunting journey. Very smooth process everyone at the building was friendly!

Just moving in Mr. Julio and the entire staff has been very welcoming I love the community and the residents on our property all have been helpful and seem just as excited as I am to have me.

Great overall experience just hope new pest control will make things better. Packages have been easier to receive which is a great improvement. Also glad there is security now round the clock. Looking forward to see what other improvements will be made this year with the new company

I have truly enjoyed living here the past few years. The management is very helpful and understanding. They are always helpful solving problems. Whenever something comes up they will have it addressed asap. It is a true pleasure to a managing team like ours. Thanks to each of you.

Overall I love living here. However there are numerous occasions where the water is either out completely or there is no hot water. It’s a generally quiet area and apartment building but there are frequent disturbances from other tenants constantly causing there to be firetrucks and ambulances coming to the building. There have always been issues with mail but now there is a concierge so hopefully they drastically improve. We have a laundry room and gym that should be open 24/7 and shouldn’t close and the gym could really use some improvement including more equipment and better upkeep(the water machine has been empty for weeks now and no one has fixed it). Also one staff member could serve to hold her tongue when I told her I didn’t see/receive an email from her she made an inappropriate comment insinuating that I was lying and as a tenant that really made me uncomfortable . Apartment is close to a lot of places which is great. The apartment is spacious.

It was great now different change and things are not getting done like we first got here. People leave carts in hallways. The exterminator lies about doing there job.

Problems that come about are always fixed in a timely fashion. I had my bathroom painted and the tub resurfaced. The kitchen had pipe leakage which was replaced/repaired. Then the bedroom has a leak in the ceiling caused from the air conditioner in the unit above me. I was truly surprised by how quickly the problems were resolved. I thought it would take a week or more to fix the ceiling but was I surprised when I came home the next day and it was repaired.

Awesome !! Reminds me of a hotel would recommend living here, the area is quiet the neighbors are respectful and considerate. Great security

the staff are nice. Building could do better at upkeep and making sure needs are met. It took almost 3 months to get the AC working. And it’s hit or miss of the hot water is working. Sometimes the inside is really pretty and other times it’s trashed.

I've only been there for 8 days and I love being able to call it my new home, the people are very kind Jupiter is very kind, I love the cleanliness of the building, each area is definitely happy.

Too much mold in the apartment, rodents, the community lacks security with homeless people coming in to sleep, cars been broken into, tires stolen, elevators constantly out of service, concierge not visible on weekends and in the evenings . This just a few issues. The keeping increasing the rent and adding all types of utilities for an older building is just outrageous.

I love the community and staff. Everyone is willing to help and patient; I never feel like a bother asking questions about billing or building operations. The residents are mostly nice, funny or unique ;with everyone just getting by and doing their own thing. What’s frustrating are the few residents that do not help in the beautification of the building. It’s either littering in the halls after beautification staff have worked hard to clean or simply not being holding themselves responsible for picking up after animal friends or waiting to report issues. Utilities are based of building consumption which is distracting because it takes a toll on top of rent itself, if there is something we can do to limit energy consumption or utilities that would be amazing. The facilities such as laundry and gym are nice but could use some improvements like additional folding tables or repairing some gym equipment. Otherwise, it’s a lovely and convenient space!

No complaints. My experience has been nothing but wonderful. The neighbor is always kept up. The office staff is very friendly. When I put in a work order, maintenance is always on point.

A pretty great experience overall there are only a few concerns that I have. The location is great and the price is pretty decent. Maintenance for the most part is attentive but I’ve has some experiences with maintenance that could be better. Staff is usually very kind and helpful. The gym could be better and have more equipment. The laundry room should be 24 hours and some of the machines are out of order on a regular basis. There should be more than one vending machine and it’s very inconvenient that the only vending machine is in the laundry room that has limited access. The concierge is usually very kind and attentive.

Being a resident at Plaza Tower is so so. Not the worst place to live but could definitely use some improvements. The hot water goes out almost every other week, sometimes once or twice a week. Hallways are smelly and the stairwell is trashy sometimes. On a positive note new management seems to be friendly and helpful so far and the location of the apartments are convenient, being next to PG Mall and the metro station.

Nice place to live overall experience good .The support staff is awesome the cleaning ladies and the grounds man are very friendly and efficient. The place is kept relatively clean just wished they could put some penalties for the residents who don't clean up after their animals and also we need more secured parking car been broken into 2 times

Experience been awesome as a first time renter. Building is extremely quiet, Secured Buildings etc. Only issue is the elevator shortage other than that it’s great.

The only problem is the people who are looking to sleep in the main entrance or laundry. The rest is all excellent, maintenance is now very fast.

My neighbors are friendly! Hosting regular events not only helps build friendships among us, but it will also adds value to living in my community. A sense of community is important to me. Also, community apps help bring us together without on-site teams organizing a function. For instance, we can post our own event announcements with our neighbors if we want to start a book club or are having a summer BBQ, or if we have items to sell, like furniture. Being a part of this vibrant community has enhanced my resident experience !!

It is safe and service problems are often solved. In mid-2023 the management of the building changed, and in 2024 we are experiencing more positive results.

Not pleased with the utility system here and laundry room machines never work properly. Not happy about management letting pitbulls live here. Elevators constantly need repair. Not worth the rent I'm currently paying. Will not be renewing my lease.

It’s a different type of vibe here with the new rental/leasing staff.It’s a positive vibe and a good experience.They are very professional and a very supportive team…I see small changes all the time now and it’s really important to us here…they are wonderful! We have an awesome a maintenance staff here as well….They come when you need repairs and the cleaning staff! We’ll let me just say”It’s better than yours” LOL!!!! I have to brag just a little…We needed this change and I am so very happy that whole team is here! AWESOME!!!No one is perfect but the team here strives for excellence and they are doing a darn good job of it.Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I love living at Plaza Towers. I’ve been a resident since 3 years. I like the community because everything is nearby so it makes life easier for me.

I moved out a few months ago and have been trying to write a detailed and comprehensive review of Plaza since. The pricing is extremely appealing, but be weary because it’s all smoke and mirrors. I applied back in May of 2022 for a renovated 2 bedroom apartment and was excited about the move. I was told my apartment wasn’t able to be looked at ahead of time due to the renovations being completed, but I was shown similar units that would be comparable to how the apartment would look and feel. Upon move in, I opened my door of my unit, and was shocked. The unit that I previously was told would be renovated, had carpet that wreaked of cigarette smoke, disgusting tile, bathrooms lights that flickered, and a horrid kitchen that had roaches. I didn’t know what to do and was furious, and after storming down to the leasing office and interrogating them on the situation, they were able to sit with me and find another unit to move into a month later which was infuriating. They did not reimburse my first month's rent due to the fact that I needed a place to stay and was willing to stay in the non renovated unit, even though the issue was entirely their fault. After the first month, I moved units and everything seemed ok, but there building itself is old and rundown. The walls are plaster, so good luck hanging anything. The furnishings were ok at best, but you expect that with the pricing. The laundry room is cleaned regularly but residents never pick up their clothes on time, and the front desk is a total nightmare to deal with. Inside the unit, roaches were always present and maintenance did little to fix the issue. Another big issue during my lease was the parking. Free parking was a nice thing to have, but my car being towed out of the lot twice with tags was not. Break ins were a norm and glass was a normal sight on the ground. The only good thing to say is that certain members of the leasing office were great. They were responsive over email and when you stopped in. I did think about releasing, but after weighing my options it was best for me to go. It’s a good location and a bang for buck in terms of space, but be weary of the issues above:

They management welcome you only while your documents are in process, after that they treat you so badly. Please don’t rent in here, the apartment are very old and full of mice.

Very rude management, water shortage all the time, second hand smoke of marijuana. Not recommending this place to live . I had roaches, waterbugs, and damages in my apartment, please don’t waste your money on this place.

I lived in this apartment for more than 3 years just because it was near to my work, nothing special. This is the worst place I lived in my life. The apartment is so old, it is infested with rats, roaches, bed bugs. the kitchens, furniture and everything you have will be swarmed by Roches within a week of your move-in. The leasing office has a nice unit to show you before you sign and after you signed they will tell you that room is not ready and you will be thrown to one of the units, then the movie starts. The building is now sold to a new owner and everything went to worst to something difficult to imagine. All front desk fired, so your package or any deliveries are difficult to get, maintainance never think about it. the rent is so high and increase significantly up on your renewal. smoking and marijuana is looks officially allowed in every floor where there are kids and senior residents. you can hear every activity of your neighbour, noise level is so high even you will hear loud pary musics after 10 pm, more than 4 times i notified the lease office, they just told me to call police that they can not do any thing about. if you want any done at leasing office you have to be job less or use your PTO just to tak to them, because they open at later than 10 AM and close 5 PM. Every minor thing you ask needs 24 hours for response ,no matter what it is. when you want to leave this apartment you have to tell them 60 days a head and after that they will find every reason to charge you up on evacuation. You must know that what ever the condition of the carpect ,you will pay for it because they always find spot and they need to replace it. They renovate the unit by your money fot the next tentat and he will pay when he get out. Any body giving good review to this apartment must be an employee of the apartment. I am sure you will get better aprtment with the price you will pay here. for families with kids ,it is worst place inaddition to all above things and more there is no play graound for kids, during summer always the pool which is shared by many apartments around open late and close early saying infection or problem is found in the water. Just look around you will get nice apartment.

i'v been a resident for over a year and I am glad to say that i love this place and location. The apartments are HUGE! . kitchens area little outdated. I've seen no critters or had any leak issues. I would defiantly recommend this place. It is close to metro, mall, groceries stores, liquor store, bar, restaurants, etc. no more than 10 mins walking. staff in the building are very nice and helpful, ladies in the office are every nice and helpful as well .

I do not recommend Plaza Towers Apartments. The building has very bad plumbing. Flooding and all day water shutoffs are common. At any given time, maybe a third to half the washers and dryers are busted. One afternoon I came home and there were news trucks in the parking lot - there had been five armed robberies and two sexual assaults in broad daylight, all in one day, right behind the building. Mice, bedbug, and roach infestations were common while I was there. It is close to the Metro, but that's all it has going for it.

My dad's apartment looks VERY different than those pics. My dad's truck has been towed TWICE within the past year. Management even owned up to their fault the first time. Did they offer anything to reimburse my dad for his having to pay for getting not one, but TWO cars out of the tow lot? No. She offered a second sticker. She could've given it to him, since he had to pay for towing. But, no! He had to pay $100 for it. No discount on rent, nothing. And now, his truck has been towed, AGAIN. This time, he had a sticker hung up on the rear view mirror. And once again, nothing will be done. Don't waste your time. Avoid this place like the plague.

I live at Plaza Towers and this place is bad. What pulls you are the rental amounts, closeness to the Metro, and the conveniences of the surrounding community. Forget all that - this place would get a negative 10,000 if I could give it. The management office is responsive to complaints and requests, but beyond that, they will begin to ignore you if the situation isn't resolved in their timing. A month and a half after I moved in, a person from the maintenance staff opened the crawl space access in my bedroom to fix a leaky tub spout in my bathroom, and afterward, didn't seal the crawl space like he should have, and it caused our unit to be infested with cockroaches! They were everywhere! I have killed at least over 120 of those nasty things. We had to leave our apartment and stay at a hotel - it was soooooo bad. I have photos and video to prove it all. A major inconvenience. The management office was very responsive, but stopped responding after a time. I then contacted the main Donaldson Group office to speak with the regional manager for Plaza Towers, but am now being ignored - no one will return my calls or my emails. They don't even answer the phone. I am not even rude when I call and am not a "problem" tenant - I just want my situation addressed. I have never been in any situation like this before. I still see cockroaches in my unit. I am a clean person, so I'm not the reason those nasty things are in my unit. It's disgusting. They are the worst. I have been a resident here for ONLY three months and I am about to break my lease and move. A very horrible, nasty community. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. READ AND OBEY. Don't do like I did and tune out the voices of those who have done this before you. You will be SORRY. You have been warned.

We lived there for over 2yrs. Location is great, right behind the mall, 10min walk to metro and buses, restaurants and movie theater also within walking distance. Most of the staff is nice, except for the leasing office staff who is rude and likes to give people attitudes. Laundry facilities are terrible. Outdated, broken down and too expensive. 16 washers and dryers on 289 units, 3-5 of them usually broken, there are no washers and dryers in the units. Fitness Room hasn't been opened in many years, same for the clubhouse, which is being used as storage for refrigerators and such. We had multiple days of water and electricity being cut off with less than 48hr notice, rent was not lowered for the troubles we went through. Business Center doesn't exist. Pool is basically owned by the other apartments next door that they grant us to use, after filling out a pool pass application. Kids are always running and playing in the parking lot in front of the building. With schools being back, be prepared to hear screaming kids playing tag or soccer outside at 7am. Don't get a unit towards the front of the building. There is also a car that has an alarm that will go off multiple times during the night. The staff know but doesn't do anything about it. AC switch in Spring happens so late that you will have to deal with sleepless sweaty nights for 1-2 months. Screen doors don't protect you from bugs getting in. Especially bad when your neighbor decides to smoke outside the window or balcony, smoke-free...not true. The first 4 months we had to deal with a neighbor smoking weed, whose smoke came creeping through the bathroom vents. We only had issues with roaches twice, but they disappeared quickly. Saw a mouse twice, apparently they like to crawl up the AC/Heating units throughout the building so make sure an exterminator seals them with sticky traps. I saw a lizard and one of them giant roaches on the main floor by the storage room (or should I say "clubhouse") before. Other than that it's better than the apartments across the street. Just way overpriced. I would move back only if there wasn't any other option, but not facing the parking lot.

My apartment has a bathroom floor with years of dirt and rust on it that has not come off after multiple attempts to clean it. The bathroom paint sweats every time I use hot water. The cabinet floor is falling apart. Besides the fact the laundry room has constant malfunctions, it is unsanitary and out of date. The only good thing about this apartment is it's location.

Apartment Searchers, It is my pleasure to write a review on the my current residence since 2001. The location is scholar least then a 3 minutes walk to Prince George's Metro, PG Mall, Movie Theater & great restaurants, and Giants grocery store. I have lived in the same apartment unit since 2001 and up to 6 years ago I will single land always felt safe and never experience or learned of any break-ins or any form of vandalisms. There is 24 hours concierge in the lobby area and security patrols the parking lot evenings & over-night. If you are coming in late night you can call the front desk and request for a security escort. The management office staff members are always so helpful and pleasant. All maintenance request are taken care of within a 24 hours period usually the same day. And the upkeep of this building is excellent. No rodent or pest issue. Management schedules monthly or bi-monthly extermination of each unit and tenants are welcome to make this request as well. No children are allowed to play in the corridors or parking lot areas. There are designated playing areas for the kids to avoid disruptions to the neighbors. This complex is very family oriented and extremely quite even on the weekends. On site laundry room, swimming pool, tennis court and bar-b-que areas. Most of the tenants have been residence up to 10, 20 or 30 years plus.
