The apartment itself is beautiful and spacious. The building and the new management are horrible. Continuously sending out emails and rules chiding the residents, while they themselves don't bother to keep the hallways and buildings clean. Some of the recent emails have stated that they will throw out your delivery if it is found at the entrances - they want you to have it delivered to the concierge office, which would require you to walk outside, defeating the purpose of delivery. They are now trying to charge you a fee if you do not pick up your packages from the package room within 48 hours - in a building full of people who work long hours at the hospital and don't necessarily have time to pick up packages immediately. None of this was stated when we signed the lease here. Many people live here because it allows large dogs - and they then let their dogs go to the bathroom in the hallways and elevators and don't clean it up. The building has been doing major construction for months and not cleaning up after themselves, so the hallways are filled with dust and debris. This is supposed to be "luxury" living - it's a college dorm. If you are above the age of 22, don't live here.
Plaza Square really makes you feel at home. The community is amazing and design is spectacular!

The building experienced severe flooding on 9/2. The residents were not warned that the garage had flooded previously, so everyone's cars were completely destroyed. The management promised to pay for us to stay in a hotel, but just told us that they actually won't reimburse us, even though we could not access the building for 3 days. Overall, I was happy with the apartment until this situation, but they have not handled it well at all.

In regard to your hotel stay, the on-site team at the shelter stated that you should hold on to your receipts from your stay so you can submit it to your renter?s insurance for reimbursement. The apartments are awesome, living here is definitely the best experience I had so far. Lots of sunlight into the apartment, nice pool area to relax, friendly leasing staff, and good amenities makes it an even better place to stay.

Plaza Square is overall a great place to live. It feels safe, it's a beautiful, well-kept building with nice, spacious apartments, and management is responsive to issues. Noise is not a problem side-to-side, but it can be tricky between floors. The pool is gorgeous in the summertime!

Internet was included in the first lease agreement, after a few months they decided that internet should be a tenant responsibility, but the monthly cost will not be reduced, so they do not respect the signed contract and just say that the tenant can get a cheaper internet, but we still have to pay for a service that is supposed included in the rent... If you want a company that respects a signed contract, look somewhere else.

Overall, Plaza Square is a great apartment complex. The only two complaints I have are (1) the package situation can be a mess, especially with covid and around the holidays; however, the complex is attempting to remedy the situation. (2) like any apartment, it can be loud at times with your neighbors, especially those above you. With that said, I do highly recommend the complex! The staff are excellent and will go out of their way to assist any needs/problems. The apartment complex itself is in a great location and is well kept. The amenities are really good and the parking garage is a great addition. You really cannot go wrong living in Plaza Square!

My boyfriend and I relocated to New Brunswick for work from South Jersey. Not knowing much about the area we searched for rental properties. We found Plaza Square and fell in love! Henry has been our go to person from the start. He has been super helpful, has gone above and beyond answering questions, letting us tour the property multiple times, and made us instantly feel at home. The apartments have amazing natural light, are spacious, and have a lot of storage! The community amenities are also a great added bonus. I am so happy we made Plaza Square our new home.

My husband and I sold our house to build a new house and moved into Plaza Square during the construction. I was incredibly nervous for such a big change, however Immediately this place felt like home! The day we moved in the apartment was immaculate, I am a clean freak and I barely had to do any cleaning, I was beyond impressed. The apartment has more than enough space for us and I love the layout it is very cozy and spacious. Angela helped us find the unit and throughout the entire process was amazing to work with. She was always a smiling face we could go to for anything. Everyone in the leasing office is so nice, Henry and Nafis are always saying Hi and checking to see how we are doing, even mentioning a package was dropped off for us at the leasing office. I honestly can’t imagine a more helpful or friendly place to live. Most of the packages go to the package concierge and I have never had an issue getting a package from the lockers or the leasing office (even if it is after hours the office has a place they can leave them for you). As for maintenance once they needed access to my apartment to fix someone else air conditioning which was done extremely fast. After they did that a breaker blew and my air conditioning wasn’t working (in the summer), they came within 5 minutes of me calling, fixed it in two seconds and since then always say hi in the halls. Again- everyone is so nice. My husband and I, love the amenities here. We use the gym daily, its smaller but has everything you need, is clean and newer. The pool was amazing in the summer you can tell everyone who lives here is friends and love to socialize by the pool it was such a nice place to hang out. We walk to dinners all the time when the weather is nice, everything is so close by and yet your still tucked away from the busy area of New Brunswick to make it feel like your own oasis. Before renting here I looked at all the comparable buildings, this one by far was the nicest apartment wise, best parking, is so safe (security is always walking around), and just feels like home.

My wife and I have been living at Plaza Square apartments for nearly 2 years. We have had a great experience. The common areas and outdoor landscaping are always clean and well maintained. The few times we have had minor maintenance issues, they have been extremely responsive and corrected quickly. I'd have to say the best part of our experience has been dealing with the staff at the leasing office. Henry and Angela have always been extremely professional, helpful and understanding. They seem to go out of their way to make sure you are satisfied with the experience. Would highly recommend living at Plaza Square if you are looking to move.

Plaza Square is a great place with excellent living conditions. The staff is very professional, the amenities are very up scaled. Security is very high. Streamlined the process of maintenance, excellent facilities for delivery with Package Concierge. This apartments have highly educated & professionals. Parking is excellent. We have been living there since September 2016. Everything there is convenient and not far away from the train station, 2 steps from good restaurants. Let's start with few bad points: -Soundproofing is not the best you can hear your neighbors at every time of the day or night...also avoid apt close to 18 road.. - The heat/AC management in the hall, stairs and common areas is not really good, - Same with your unit insulation you can feel the wind through some windows, so you better put some seals - Even if you have the tag for the garage, lot of people from outside of the residence are sneaking behind you, bicycles have been stolen twice and the host parking reservation is a mess, every time you have someone at your spot. Good idea for future could be to provide plugs for hybrid or Tesla in the garage - Last one, the plaza wanted to renew our unit as it was one of the oldest, so they try to convince us with a rent increase of 40%... That said, let's continue with the best: - Management really do his best to make the building running and is not waiting for issue to come. They are pro-active and propose lot of improving ideas. They have been doing polls to know how the host parking reservation system should work, they adapted the cable/internet offer and so on... - The new team, especially Angela and Henry are really taking care of you with everything, always in a very nice way with the smile. Despite the 40% rental increase that was asked by the lander they tried to find us a solution. - Maintenance guys are on top of everything, they changed the dish washer at 9pm on Christmas day, twice the fridge, they fixed showers, plumbing issues and other stuff in couple of hours, you don't wait long! Special thanks to Kingsley. We finally moved because we wanted to leave New Brunswick and avoid Rutgers traffic. In sum up, you pay as much as other property but the PLUS there is the management. They will grant you kind of peace of mind. Obviously you will get issue like every other place for sure but they will not let you down. One of the best properties in New Brunswick if it's not the best. Thanks for the 3 great years we had with you.

My fiance and I moved in a few months ago and have had nothing but positive experiences. Outside of the community being beautiful and clean, the people that work here are just unbelievably professional and truly care about the residents. Henry is a SUPER STAR has consistently listened to and taken care of us. We could not ask for a better community to live in and are super thankful.

The location of Plaza Square is amazing but make sure youre ready to be disrespected, find massive inconveniences that could have easily been resolved and unprofessionalism by the community management when they think youre not listening

We've been living here since last August. The apartment unit itself is really nice -- new kitchen amenities, large bathroom, walk-in closet, W/D in unit. We particularly chose a unit with high ceilings and we're never going back to low ceilings again. The complex is extremely dog friendly (we've made so many dog friends here!) and the complex amenities are lovely -- the pool, the gym, and the business rooms are awesome. They're easy to get to, and clean. The management here is also super nice, especially Henry! He's helpful, nice, and professional and we love bringing our puppy down to say hello. They also host events that happen frequently -- like Dog Yappy Hours, Xmas events -- and they get food trucks to come every Wed. The location is in a safe and quiet spot and near to all the good eats in NB downtown. Some things I'm not a huge fan of: 1) Useless fees. This is honestly the biggest thing for me. I've mentioned this on every survey they've asked me to fill out, and I'll say it again here. This was almost a deal breaker when we were choosing a place to rent. I hate hate hate hate not having the freedom to choose what ISP I use and being forced to pay for cable, something I haven't watched in a decade, is ridiculous. GreyStar (the owners of Plaza Square) makes you bundle internet & cable for $100/mo (regular internet is like around $50/mo under the same ISP). 2) Stolen packages. This isn't management's fault at all, but the fault of the property owners, again: GreyStar. The package concierge (a package locker service), that was meant to resolve this issue, is really useful, but it's simply not big enough to handle the 400+ units in this building. It's the size of a large Amazon Locker. Hence, the office is filled with all the overflow packages and if the delivery drivers are lazy, or if the office is closed when a package gets delivered, they'll leave the packages in the lobby/mail room where they get stolen. 3) The dog run is nice, but it smells perpetually of pee. I'm not sure how often it gets cleaned, so we don't linger when we have doggy playdates there with our neighbors. Some of our less great neighbors will not pick up their dog's poop, which bamboozles me, since management is diligent about putting poop bags next to the dog run. Definitely more pros than cons, and we'll probably continue living here for the foreseeable future. The rent is reasonable and definitely the most affordable given the other luxury apartments in the area.

I would not suggest to live here. There are a lot of things wrong with the apartment that they refuse to fix or take FOREVER. ( I have not had a working dishwasher for over two months) The people that work at the office are also not friendly and useless. There is dog poop everywhere because owners refuse to pick up after their pet. Honestly stay away!

With such an easy move in process, great amenities, and perfect floor plans, the Plaza Square Apartments are an amazing option in New Brunswick. I've lived here for over two years and recently transferred apartments and I have nothing but great things to say about the community and its leasing office staff. They've been extremely knowledgeable in the leasing process and have been very helpful anytime I have a question regarding maintenance, leasing, etc. Angela really went above and beyond to make sure my transfer experience was as smooth as possible! The community is nice and clean, neighbors are friendly, they run resident events to create a better resident community and are conveniently located in downtown New Brunswick. I searched several communities in New Brunswick and the surrounding area (i.e., Piscataway, S. Plainfield, Edison, etc.) and decided that Plaza Square ticked all the boxes for location, convenience, and amenities. I also like the friendly and helpful community living partners (I don't like to refer to them as "staff" because they are more than that and not my direct reports). I highly recommend this community for consideration in anyone's search for a place to live.

Plaza Square is a great community that only wants to help and make your living experience peaceful and easy. That's why I live here!
There are a lot of things we love about Plaza Square, and a lot of things we are disappointed in. The apartments are beautiful and maintenance is friendly, responsive and helpful. However the amenities leave something to be desired. They appear to be great, but once you try to use something, it probably doesn't work. The gym has issues, the lounge area has no pool cues or shuffleboard sand, a pacman machine that has been broken for two years. The TVs don't work, and there is no ice machine. The hot tub was broken for a full year, and the grills in the pool area are only open during the summer. I've brought up all issues multiple times, but nothing is really ever addressed or fixed. We have neighbors who's rental prices are being raised so high, they are forced to move. We'll be moving as well because it seems that the owners/management care much more about the dollar than providing a nice community to live in.
I must say that I have lived in many different complexes in the past 10 years and none of them are on the same level as Plaza Square. I have been a resident here for approximately three years and I am always greeted with a warm welcome from both the leasing office as well as the maintenance staff. From dealing with minor issues as well as lease renewals they have provided the same level of consistent great service I’ve come to expect here at Plaza. If you are looking for a place to live in the New Brunswick/Central Jersey look no further as plaza offers both great service and beautiful spacious apartments. I made the right choice by choosing to reside at Plaza.
