Wish I could give them 0 stars!!! Maintenance takes forever. No communication. It’s been almost 2 weeks since I called the maintenance emergency hotline & this issue is still not fixed!!!!!

Thieves

Don’t put you holding fee down unless they approve you!! Due to miscommunication by their staff, Lili in particular. We we not able to get our application approved on time. She still took our $200 holding fee, and they will not refund us back our money dispute it being Lili’s fault that we didn’t get our application even looked at.

it’s okay

Honest review, it was a love hate relationship you’re never going to find a 10/10 apartment ever in life. My issues were the washer and dryer had to be plugged up to the sink which blocked the kitchen it was 40$, but the washer and dryer on the first floor cost about the same to do a couple loads. Parking was insane sometimes I had to walk around from the leasing office all the way to my apartment in the middle of the night and I have a child. Water bugs definitely are common here. The good thing about this place is I felt safe. Had no problems with neighbors or staff. The maintenance crew could use some work tho, my A/C had to be fixed at least 6 times within a week. The size of the apartments are wonderful especially for the price in my personal opinion. Space was good. This is not a bad place for people wanting a start or big space for little price!

This place is okay

The move in process wasn’t so bad they made sure we were taken care of. maintenance is efficient but they are busy and always fix things to quickly and what ever they fix brakes atleast 2 more times. Our building is much more quiet than others in the community and overall our neighbors are cool. We’ve been here 2 years and they decided not to raise the rent since we paid on time. We will be moving out soon and I’m really hoping they don’t try to charge for bogus charges. We clean like crazy and fix what we can just to be safe. They do offer washer/dryers in unit for 40$ monthly. The washer and dryers suck but it’s better than a laundromat. We use a drain hose to fill the washer lol but hey it works. My biggest suggestion live closer to the main road the buildings are much cleaner and more renovated the closer to the pool you get the dirtier it gets. Parking near the main road isn’t so bad either because along the white fences are guest parking and there’s always spots. But as far as parking goes for resident areas it can be tight later at night. Also live on the top floor the patios downstairs flood like crazy when it rains. Like any apartment complex or has it’s up and downs but it’s an affordable place to live and the Apartments have good sq footage and the renovated units ain’t half for the price

MAJOR WATERBUG (COCKROACH) problem

Even though these apartments are affordable, there is a major bug problem. As soon as the weather is a little warm the roaches start to come inside. Moved in and found 3 around the place. Some are found alive, some are found dead but too many to live comfortably with. The walls are thin and you can hear everything your neighbors are doing. Take precaution with these.

Outlandish fees

Highway robbery ...I'm not on anyone's lease so I got charged for being more than to move than a fee for not having renters Insurance, whichwhich was not only higher than the actual insurance they said its in the lease....but I'm not on no ones lease because I own home now just trying to get it ready for me to move in so they trying just to add fees on top of bogus fees how are you charging people for more than to month and than still want them to follow directions in a lease than I was told to go through their insurance company last month got the insurance got another fee still they said they bill afterwards ...I didn't get a notification of any fees until last month which said on the note I got on my door if I got me a policy a policy they wouldn't charge so I got two fees and only didn't pay one month of insurance a few months paying a month to move the fee ...totally ridiculous !!! Glad I'm moving !!! Also don't get packages delivered out here they steal and my plates on my car were stolen both front and back so the 24 hr security is a joke ..only good thing I can say is everyone was cean in my unit never had a problem with roaches ! Thank goodness for clean neighbors ..BTW I told them I didn't want the maintenance workers in my house after they left my utility door open which leads to the outside so the miney and mickey came on in.because it was cold . Each time they came to my house the door opened until one worker finally figured it out something was wrong with the door thats he was able to fix in 5 minutes ... I needed to charge them a few for not fixing the issue the first time

As stated in your lease, renter’s insurance is a requirement and must stay current at all times. Choosing an insurance company is a personal choice; therefore, this decision is left to our residents. As a courtesy, Pinewood Gardens assists our residents by notifying them in advance of a policy that will soon be expiring. If a policy is not kept active throughout a resident’s tenancy, no matter the length of the lease, a charge for the management company to provide said coverage is applied to the resident’s account. I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with our service department. Providing quality service to our residents is of the upmost importance to me. Disappointed

Lived at this apartment for 2 years. 1st issue we ever encountered were our neighbors. They were loud and the girlfriend was being abused so much so I needed to call Security as well as 911 for her assistance. Then moved in our other neighbors. Made several noise complaints for them as well and it seemed to fall on deaf ears. Nothing was ever done. Our AC was another issue. The squirrels would chew the wires of the AC unit and every week or so we were calling maintenance to fix the issue. They would also crawl into the holes of the building and climb into our utility closet. We lived on the 2nd floor so it was very unnerving to hear the scratching at the door at night. Another issue was maintenance. Very unfriendly, stomping around your home like it's not 9 am and your fiancé doesn't work late at night and is still in bed. Not to mention they make you feel like an idiot anytime a question is asked. Then there's the issue of parking. It's first come first serve and ANYTIME you go ANYWHERE just guarantee you will not have a spot when you return. As much as we were paying for a one bedroom the least they could do is start assigning parking spots. And that leads me to ANOTHER issue. The building structure of this apartment is CRAP. Walls are paper thin, horrible and rushed paint job, you could see the paint drips dried on the walls, not to mention everything falls apart almost within a month of your stay here. I was constantly on the phone with maintenance. Not to mention the apartment had a horrible roach problem. Walked past dead roaches in the hallway daily. The staff was never friendly with us, I never felt welcome here we just didn't have many options at the time seeing as we were staying with a friend who lived near there and they were the only option. I do NOT RECOMMEND Pinewood Gardens Apartments. Get more bang for your buck SOMEPLACE ELSE. Very disappointed in them.

Vehicles that park in the lots without decals are subject to towing. It is extremely disappointing to read that you encountered multiple frustrations because that is not the standard set for our service and community atmosphere. Move out fees!!

To start I lived there about a year. The maintenance. Several issues! Hot water is community based to start with so the gas you use to heat it and run your stove and the furnace is divided between the people in the the whole building. So let’s start with hot water. Had to have the water heater replaced 3 days with no hot water. On January 4 of 2018 we got a foot of snow. Turn on the furnace to discover I have no heat. I call maintenance and the come out pull the computer out and tell me “sorry”can’t put a new one in until tomorrow. Several clogged drains. That concludes maintenance. The neighborhood. Police constantly in the building for things like demestic disturbances which if it is in any one in your building you will hear the whole fight. Also people just fire shots in the air so they are there for that also. “Security” sleeps all night about 20 ft from where my jeep was robbed. So they might as well not be there. Also you may see cars parked on the street. Those are always there. Impossible to find street parking an the weekend. Which brings me to my last point. The admin side. You have to give a 60 day moveout notice. You get two parking stickers(yes they do tow) Regardless of your apartment size. When I moved out I asked if I should clean the carpets. They said no. Asked if I had to return the parking sticker. They said no. Asked what to expect on fees they said about 100 which will come out of the security deposit. After moving out I get a bill. Replace carpet due to stains 700$ neighbor who lived the 8 months got the same fee (you will to) clean the fridge 50$ (it was emptied and cleaned regularly when I lived there) clean the stove 50$ (Also cleaned regularly) parking pass 50$ x2 move out gas bill 65$ (All others were about 30$) when I asked why they said “it’s the last two months because they don’t charge for it the first month and you are always a month late” ok let me check my statement. Charged 20$ two weeks after I moved in when paying the first rent bill. All that to get to this. I moved across country so I had to try and call several times. Manager never managed to return my calls. Never there. Always busy. If you were busy and not trying to avoid me you would have returned my calls. Over all 1000$ to move out of an apartment that could have easily been “move in ready” in 2 days.

Providing the comfort of (24) hour emergency maintenance to our residents is very important to us. Our records indicate the mentioned hot water heater was replaced within the first (24) hours. We understand carpet damage can be costly therefore; Pinewood Gardens obtains two estimates from independent contractors. Building and maintaining positive relationships with our residents is very important to our staff. Kiana was so kind, and helpful throughout the whole process of us choosing the right place. She was very informative and answered all the questions we asked her. She made our decision very easy, and I totally recommend anyone looking for a place to live to at least consider pinewood gardens. I will give an update the day of move in!!!

I love our new home!

It’s me and my boyfriends first apartment and we were really nervous about picking a place to live. We needed something quick and affordable. The move in process was pretty easy. We have been here almost a month now. Everyone we met has been really friendly and helpful. My mom lived here years ago and said the same thing. They really do a good job with keeping things clean. I’m glad we chose this place. It fits in our budget and we so far everything has been great.

Don't move here unless despirate

walls/ceilings paper thin. can hear upstairs talking too! hallway echos into aptmt. NO PARKING! not enough parking for all! $20 to pay your rent online! Tiny apartments. Tiny kitchen. If get washer, have to pull it out into hallway so can use kitchen while washer is running. not enough room in kitchen for washer & a person. Mailbox too small so mail gets crumbled up & shoved in it.

Current Tenant

I've been living at Pinewood Gardens for over a year now. My initial intent was to just try out the place but after getting settled in I've grown to love the environment. The office staff is always courteous (thanks Melissa) and maintenance is always on point. I'd recommend this facility to anyone seeking a quiet and peaceful living. KBurns

The management is nice

The over all apartment isn't the best. If you are downstairs you hear everything. It's infested with bugs. Good things about it is management and the floor plans are spacious

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!

They are by far the worst complex and company known to man they let us move in knowing the apartment had bed bugs. We've had to throw out over $9000 worth of stuff and the staff is so rude and unprofessional. They constantly harass me and every time I call or have them come "fix" something they are so rude. I say "fix" because a monkey could do a better job and the wiring is illegal they still have fuse boxes with actual fuses instead of switches is beyond ridiculous and they know it because they literally pay people to give them good reviews but I refuse to lie off a bribe or any other reason. I can't wait to serve my time here and get out I feel like I'm trapped because of the cost to break the lease but with the money they owe me for thier negligence I could get out but I know they will never give me what they owe me so I'm trapped.

Pinewood Gardens

My experience at pinewood gardens has been pleasant for the most part;a little stressful in the beginning but the office staff helped me with my concerns and now I am enjoying my stay. The apartment complex seems to be in a quiet neighborhood and it is well maintained inside and out.

Not worth it!

The price you pay, for the small amount of space you get, is nowhere near ideal. We have a 2 bdrm and there's not much room for anything besides the basics. If it's your first apartment and you don't have much and don't want much room, then it'd work for you. The maintenance people are awesome, but you'll be calling multiple times a month for the same things over and over. The parking lot is horrible, especially at night, you'd be lucky to get a spot. Most likely, you'd be parking on the street or 2 parking lots away. They don't always enforce the decal only, like they advertise. The pool gets closed A LOT, for maintenance, and if it is open, there will be a bunch of stuff floating with you. Personally, it's not worth the trouble or money, there's other better places near by.

Can't wait to move in!!!

My family & I have recently visited the Pinewood Gardens community & we are very pleased as to what we found. The kids especially loved the pool. My husband & I enjoyed the balcony or patio & the layout of the apartment. The community was very clean & shops are very close & staff were very accommodating to all our questions.
