Property Ratings at Palmetto Creek
I lived here for 3 years. The apartments are beautiful & spacious and the grounds are gorgeous. I would not choose to live here again for these reasons: 1. Noisy neighbors. For 3 years I had two noisy residents below me. The second set of residents were the worst. One was a musician. He would yell & play music loudly at all times of the day & night. I would complain, sometimes multiple times a day. For a full year and a half I just had to endure the noise, because all they would do is send warnings, which were ignored. Even worse was when he started getting louder as they learned there were no repercussions. It made for a horrible living situation. 2. Appliances. They were old & didn’t work well. The washing machine usually required to be run at least twice to get a load clean. Same thing with the dishwasher. I stopped using the ice maker in the fridge. The water line had growth in it & no matter how many batches you threw away, it persisted. The oven had seen better days as well. 3. Poor business ethics. This was the worst. Entergy did not transfer the utilities back to Palmetto Creek for a month after I moved out. They had no record that I had requested this. I requested reimbursement for the time after I moved out of Palmetto Creek from 1st Lake. The bill showed that the last prior reading was on my move out day so this should have been an easy request. Instead I got someone calling me telling me that they weren’t going to pay despite acknowledging that they used the power for the entire period that I was requesting reimbursement. Too bad, so sad was their attitude. This is very poor business ethics. The person I spoke to was incredibly unprofessional. 4. So no, I will not be giving them good reviews or recommending them to my family, friends, or coworkers as requested. Steer clear of any 1st Lake property.

I have been living at these apartments for about a year. The apartments were so nice and beautiful! The pool was so much fun and clean! If there was ever an issue in the apartment Mark was the superhero and fixed it!! Tanya was the BEST leasing agent around! Go check them out.

At first i was love with the property until i received an email after my move. Palmetto is definitely on a collection spree. Received an notice for $2336. My apartment was very clean. The same i revived it is the same waY i gave it back. Charging me for celilng fan replacements , carpet, walls , extra paint etc all non sense that i feel does not apply to me . This is really affecting me and i refuse to pay for ANYTHING I KNOW WASN'T DAMAGE. Please take photos before and after

Once completed, our collections department assists our residents with any disputes. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the number on the letter you received.
Beware, they are on a collection spree. This happened not just with me, but with few other folks whom I know lived in this apartments just recently. When you are entering the apartment take photos of every part of the apartment and also before leaving, otherwise you end up paying thousands of dollars. Even few small spots on your countertop you might end up paying up to $2000 and also will be charged for complete carpet replacement even after living up to 3 years. Earlier I have rated this apartments with 5 stars for the the great work that folks like Mark and Adrienne were doing, but I am sorry I had to leave a 1 star for this apartments for becoming a collection agency.

Been in the city about 3 years, and this residence has been absolutely great. I am able to get great space and peace of mind while still being in a good location near plenty of amenities. This property has the best staff that I have ever experienced. Aline and Adrienne are great at checking in on residents and the conditions of their spaces. Mark in maintenance knows the complex, and is an awesome help to residents. I have really enjoyed living here! My family/friends really love visiting!

I lived here for a job I had and let me just say this apartment complex is one of the best I’ve stayed in. The maintenance crew is active and fast and the front office is very friendly and open to helping you in any way. Gated community with a walking trail and was very safe. Beautiful 3rd floor apartment with high ceilings too!

Was in town for 3 months and needed a furnished apartment. They were more than accommodating, even on a short term notice. The “executive” package had literally everything (furniture, linens, kitchenware, cable tv, etc). Administration was super helpful with everything that came up. Replacing a lost key was a no problem, developed a running toilet that got fixed that day (shout out to Adrienne in the front office her all of her help!) The list goes on... Apartments are by no means brand new, but everything was clean and worked well. Would recommend

I moved to the area 2 plus years ago and after looking at A LOT of apartments, I found Palmetto Creek and still think it is the best place to live. It is conveniently located in Elmwood...easy access to the airport as well as the city. Both the administrative and maintenance staff are friendly and helpful. I feel safe with gated parking. I use the recently updated fitness room and can choose between two swimming pools nearby. It is a pet friendly place with well behaved pets AND owners. I made an excellent choice!

Long time resident here! I thoroughly enjoy living here. Great location with easy access to the expressway and the interstate. Great restaurants and shopping within walking distance! More than anything, our complex is quite, safe, and exceptionally well-kept! The grounds are beautifully maintained. Palmetto Creek has gated-access, easy parking, a pool, and a staff that treats you like family! No need to look anywhere else! This is the right place. You can thank me later!

If you love to waste your money on old and clogged A/C's , if you love to be treated as number and not as a customer , if you really love to spend your earnings in old dryers that needs 2 cycles to do their job, if you like community pools that looks like a wonderful emerald ocean, if you want to wait 10 days to get your problem fixed , this is the right apartment for you !

I lived at Palmetto Creek for 8 months and while it states that it is a "gated" community the gates were open and non-working on a regular (weekly) basis. I chose this place because I liked the floor plan of the apartment, but after moving in I got to really see how cheap all of the finishes are. The refrigerator was a tad bit larger than one you'd find in a travel trailer. The cabinet doors were plastic laminate and nearly all of them were chipped. None of the burners fit properly on the stove. The burners would literally stick UP from the plug, therefore pots weren't ever even while trying to cook. My air conditioner froze up regularly, even though I changed the filter regularly (they actually provide that, unlike light bulbs!). The washer was okay, but the dryer was horrible. After washing a regular load of laundry in the washing machine I would have to run the dryer through 2 cycles in order for it to dry. The maintenance man told me it was just because they were cheap dryers so the heating element wasn't large enough for the drum, so I just needed to do smaller loads. On to management. They say they "allow" pets and require a pet deposit along with a monthly fee for your pet, however when you move please be prepared to replace the carpet regardless of the condition of the carpet. My apartment flooded because one of their cheap washing machines upstairs failed. So instead of replacing the carpet they had me move all of the furniture from the back half of the apartment (all bedroom furniture, the entire closet which doubles as storage, and half of the living room furniture) to the very front of the apartment for a WEEK while they had the PADDING replaced and had blowers drying the carpet. I had to sleep on the floor of my apartment for a week because they wouldn't pay for a hotel, not mention the work that I missed due to moving furniture and just having to be there while strangers were in my apartment working. This happened 3 weeks before I moved out and now they're charging ME to replace the carpet bc they say there was urine in the carpet. It is impossible. I kennel my dog AND the carpet was shampooed 3 weeks before I moved out!!! I will be disputing the charges and telling everyone I meet about my sad experience with Palmetto Creek.
This is the best apartment I have every lived in. The outdoor space has beautiful landscape, a pool area with lounge chairs, barbecue pits for entertainment. There are restaurants in walking distance. The staff is helpful 24/7. At my age and retired, I feel safe at all times. Would love to live here for the rest of my life.
Gated apartment homes. The 3rd floor is well worth the walk-up.The 2 bedroom/2 bath is spacious w/ 12 foot ceilings a sun room. Pool is small but refreshing on a steamy hot summer day. Largest drawback - apartments are next to a freeway w/ no sound barrier. A good night's sleep can be trying. Suitable for adults w/out children since there are no play areas for them. Pets are welcome.
