The office staff is very attentive to my needs. Also the use of the guest apt is a great convenience. The grounds have wonderful landscaping and are always well kept.

Great quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Neighbors keep to themselves but are always down for a quick chat. Beautiful scenery around the complex.

Just renewed for another year. I love it here! The grounds are beautiful. Maintenance responds promptly and the lovely ladies at the rental office make you feel at home!

It’s quiet here clean the grounds are landscape beautifully there’s privacy and a wonderful pool which looks brand new can’t wait for a pool season to open the residents are friendly and hopefully the price will stay where it is right now I would recommend all donation apartments

Office is responsive and maintenance is outstanding . On time and thorough. The grounds are kept up nicely and neighbor s are great. What else can I say love living here going on seven years . Location is perfect with near by shopping and dinning, some within walking distance. Retired from military Little Creek is right up the road.

I love to walk around the community every day so I was concerned when we had all that snow last Wednesday.. Well I had a wonderful surprise when the sidewalks were cleared & salted on Thursday morning. I was able to walk Thursday afternoon & the rest of the week with no fear of slipping on ice.Thank you for doing a great job & keeping us safe.

Location, rent, prompt maintenance response, grounds maintenance. It is nice to be centrally located, close to shopping, etc. I have lived here for 4 years and intend to be living here in the foreseeable future.

I have been disappointed by the amount of trash that I’ve seen around the property grounds. I continually pick up trash on my patio and underneath the bushes and shrubs. There is a huge Magnolia tree in front of my home that drops large, heavy pods onto parked vehicles and the ground. These pods present a dangerous and damaging risk especially at night when it’s dark. It would be helpful if maintenance could pick up the pods. I have had several experiences where I reported a maintenance issue and was told the issue would be resolved. Once reported, the issues were not addressed and I was not contacted to schedule the repairs. This requires me to call again to follow up and sometimes the issue remains unresolved. I would like to see improvements in the maintenance services at Old Donation Apartments.

We love it here. It's quiet and the neighbors are friendly. The complex is located in a great area near shopping, medical facilities, and businesses. We have a lake view and have taken up bird watching as a new hobby.

Everyone has been great. It’s a friendly community where people say Hi! The updated apartments are well done. The office staff is incredible.

The staff at Old Donation Manor in the office most especially are amazing. They are so warm and welcoming, professional and respectful. You definitely feel you were taken care of by the staff. The property is maintained beautifully, and response to any request is swift. With the exception of a cranky neighbor, it is a wonderful place to live.

Love the quiet. Love the location. Could use many upgrades to the inside for what we pay every month. Rent has gone up every year but not one improvement, only patchy repairs. (Being on a fixed income is getting rough when they keep raising the rent.) Need walk-in showers for us handicapped, get rid of cheap carpet downstairs, get rid of painted over paneling, popcorn ceilings, need new kitchen cabinets and better laminate in kitchen. Bathrooms are outdated and need repairs on sinking patio and new fencing and get rid of magnolia trees that are near houses and cars. Better contractors that do repairs. Ones that speak English would be a good start. When it comes to contractors you get what you pay for and apparently the owners pay bottom dollar.

The clubhouse needs to have true potluck events where everyone can come and go for a few hours. The pool area should be open year round for lounging, not just 4 months in the summer. Management should host a community meeting every 3 or 4 months. Make sure prospective tenants are carefully screened before allowing them to live here.

Old Donation Apartments is a wonderful place for over-55 folks to live. Apartments are spacious and well maintained. Rent includes utilies. Grounds are well maintained. Front door parking. Quiet neighborhood, conveinent to shopping, banking, medical offices and several restuarants. Staff is professional and very responsive.

The staff is making an effort to have more activities but I feel the Christmas luncheon should have included the whole community. It could have been done as an open house so all residents could have enjoyed it.

The apartments have a variety different materials on the front, so there’s no cookie-cutter feel. Each entryway is at the end of an attractive length of sidewalk, which adds to the neighborhood feel. There is more parking than needed for residents, so no need for assigned spaces. Mail is delivered through a slot in the front door. Inside, the floor plans vary, and all feel spacious enough to feel like you’re in a home. Appliances are modern and attractive. There are 4 or five closets, including a linen pantry. The staff are so friendly and eager to be of help. The maintenance crew is top-notch. There are scheduled activities in the Club Room, which is also available to rent for private events. It’s a friendly, safe place to live .

Prompt response to all maintenance requests. Office employees always courteous and helpful. Grounds are well maintained and look inviting. It is a pleasure to live in this community.

We had no trouble selecting Old Donation. Jada was so helpful and friendly. She helped us decide what place would fit with our goals. Everyone there is friendly and kind. We are going to love it here.

The lovely ladies in our office are so welcoming and full of sunshine, you want to live here. The remodels are beautiful, the grounds are so well maintained and our pool/clubhouse are inviting. So far, I love it!

Everyone is courteous and helpful. Maintenance issues are handled promptly and efficiently. Grounds are maintained efficiently. I feel safe and secure in my apartment home.

We needed to move to Virginia Beach to be closer to our family. We quickly realized that the rental market is very tight and it was going to be hard to find what we wanted. Our family found this place and we took a tour. One of the first things we noticed is that the available apartments were spotless. They even were moving appliances to get behind them for deep cleaning. As we waited for something to come available the office staff, Jada and Alexis were more than gracious and accessible to answer our questions. When an appropriate apartment came available, they helped us process the paperwork (insurance, lease, etc.) efficiently and professionally. But the walk-thru was the shocker: They of course had changed the carpet and painted, but the kitchen and bathrooms were totally replaced with new, up-scale fixtures. The storage areas were more than ample. We like wire shelves in the closets to “store stuff” but closets already had several shelves in place. It was the first time we moved into an apartment that we did not have to add shelving. As if that was not enough, we quickly discovered the maintenance staff is outstanding. As we found nit-picking items, they were at the door to fix them and make us happy. They always honored our privacy and schedules for these minor repairs. The property is spotless and beautiful. We have owned houses for decades and, quite frankly, we did not take care of the grass, trees, and flowers like Old Donation does. The neighborhood is quiet and quite close to shopping. Lidl is “just across the street.” But the best is saved for last. The residents make this a neighborhood to want to live in. As we walk around the property, people greet us as new friends.

Old Donation Apartments is an amazing place to reside. It is a beautiful, safe and peaceful environment. There are fun activities at the Community Center which includes a wonderful pool.

From my very first call to Old Donation to inquire about availability, the staff was warm and welcoming. The few problems I encountered after moving in were handled immediately and professionally. The office staff and the maintenance staff are wonderful!

The office staff, Brittany & Ashley, and everyone on the maintenance team are always super courteous, extremely helpful, and resolve any issues promptly! My apartment is very spacious with loads of storage space. The landscaping team always keep the grounds immaculate! I would highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a quiet, safe, peaceful home!!

Office staff are professional and respond quickly to maintenance requests. The maintenance staff also responds quickly to repairing items. The apartment complex is pretty quiet for the most part. My only complaint is that when major work (sidewalks, painting of parking spaces) is done, it is done at an inconvenient time for those of us who still work every day.

Beautiful and quite community with plenty of space and a large master bedroom! I have lived here for almost a year and it is the best apartment community I have lived in thus far. The staff is friendly, the community is clean, private entrances, and trash pickup at your door. Also I love how the pool is never crowded and it is truly relaxing. The only down side is that I wont be able to stay here forever because if you have kids you cannot live here since it is an 18 and up community with 80% being seniors.

These apts are spacious and nicely laid out. Also close to shopping and interstate access. The staff, Ashley the manager and her assistant Brittany are professional and friendly. Great team!!
