Apartments for Rent Near University of Massachusetts, Amherst
Equally notable for its top-notch academics and its legendary college town environment, UMass is widely recognized as one of New England’s prime public universities. After a short time at the university, you’ll get used to the campus’ many quirks, like the weirdly strong wind around the library and the now-traditional Halloween steak and lobster feast. Just a few blocks south of campus near the town center, North Pleasant Street is lined with popular hangouts, from the Amherst Cinema to the quaint local coffeehouses to the rowdy college bars. The main campus is relatively compact, but when looking for an apartment you may still want to consider what part of campus you’ll be frequenting: the School of Management and the Fine Arts Center can be found on the south side, the College of Nursing and Hasbrouck Laboratory are on the east side, and most of the science buildings are on the north side.
