The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Moran Apartments
Ive lived in the Moran Street apartments for two years. The right side of the building has a cockroach problem, and has since the first day we moved on. Not only does the office not notify anyone before they show the apartments, but they refuse to take responsibility as well. They say that someone sprays every two weeks, but I am never notified and I have yet to see a pest service more than a few times. Only once in the two years have they sprayed the entire building. I have watched numerous families with children move in and out because they were not notified of the cockroaches And in all the right side units the cockroaches are in the kitchen and bathrooms. Also they have it written in the lease that they do not have to offer you a lease renewal, instead they do not offer you a lease renewal and they move you month to month, then upcharge your rent and offer you a new contract. The owner of the property requests that the rental agency do this so they do not have to give you a 45 day legal written notice for the rental increase towards the end of your lease, so they decline your lease, move you month to month, then increase the rent and give you the option of signing a year lease, or stayinh month to month at a higher rate. Also the owner was planning on increasing the rent i$100 a month every year, the rental this year was $50 a month. Also the wifi always has no signal and the office will not call Charter. Moving as soon as we can afford it. Renter beware here!
The apartment was okay. Nothing to brag about. Parking is a nightmare once you leave your assigned spot its open to all. Ive even been blocked in multiple times by people who should be parking on the property pulling right behind my car. The main number is pointless to call. Maintenance is rude, Casey is nice and Rachel is nice. Whoever answers the number at the main office is rude. The say payment arrangements can be made on a form but when you ask about it they say thats not "a real thing its from the software used." This management makes things very difficult. If you leave your lease early (like we did) you get things even harder with more attitude. People smoke by their doors knowing you aren't allowed too then just leave their cigarettes everywhere making the place look trashy, they also leave their trash laying around especially down the stairs leading to the laundry making that a hazard. Only good thing is the free Wi-Fi.
I lived here for 9 months and for what you pay, it's not a bad place to live. The interior has all new appliances, flooring, etc. as of about a year ago. The apartment manager, Casey, was very helpful, although some of the other management I deal with was not as nice. Parking can be a bit of a challenge and the neighborhood isn't the nicest, but for the price it really wasn't a bad place to live.
