This apartment complex has excellent staff . Whether it is maintanabce folks or the leasing team . They are very responsive to all our requests and attend to our concerns in a very prompt way . A few additional words for Mirella who is the one of new staff members . She is very hardworking , enthusiastic , diligent and responsive with her work. She is in excellent hands with existing team with Azu and alyssa and together this has been one of best leasing staff i have dealt with in my life The apartment itself is so nice with new appliances and is quite large in size . All in all a wonderful experience living in this apartment complex Ashwin
Made an appointment for a tour 2 weeks ahead for 1:00pm. Upon arrival three people from management were all sitting in the common area one person was asleep while two other people from management just sat there and watched us stand outside the rain. Super bummed out me and my partner were excited to tour this place. Glad to see how management is before spending our hard earned money here.
I've lived here for a year now and am currently in the process of renewing my lease. I've got to say this place is really awesome. The property manager, Dan, is very approachable and friendly to talk to. They keep the grounds very clean and well maintained so there is always a nice comfortable feeling when you walk around the property. And when you submit a maintenance request on their online portal, maintenance is there within a couple days to fix the problem. In terms of the apartment itself, it is such an amazing open floorplan. Hands down the best apartment I've ever lived int. And this is my 5th complex I've lived in, and have toured a lot of complexes so that is saying a lot. Plenty of windows and lighting too so the apartment doesn't feel too dark or closed in. Such a comfortable spot! Highly recommend.

On the surface Monticello at Southport is an attractive and luxurious complex of affordable apartment homes. After actually moving in you find out quickly that it is mainly surface cosmetics. Since moving in here last year our refrigerator has went out, stove/oven is constantly falling apart, and the smoke alarms will go off if you merely scramble some eggs. This is by far the worst renting experience I have ever had an I have rented homes all across the United States since 2003. One of our most recent terrible experiences took place immediately after Thanksgiving, our Refrigerator went out and it took them so long to replace that we lost all our food, when complaining about this we received no response. Secondarily we had our vehicles vandalized with stickers by their staff, and when they were confronted by it I had to get in a heated debate pertaining to my property rights. Third the person who works the office Marissa is apathetic, contradictory, and rude. We had our financial information stolen, after my backpack was stolen from my van in their complex, and due to this theft our rent was late as we had to wait for reimbursement from the bank and etc during this horrible time they threatened us with eviction, and had no care for our issue that happened due to their unsecure complex. Speaking of unsecure complex I had a road bike (urban racing bicycle) stolen fro my back patio in the middle of the day, and when we reported it they did nothing and didn't care. The back gate at night is almost always wide open, why even have the gates at that point and security which allegedly patrols the complex is never insight. Marrissa who lives at the complex loves to come down on you for any and every rule but doesn't follow them herself, especially pertaining to the club house/pool area back in June she was observed in the pool area with a large party, drinks, and a bluetooth audio device streaming loud and profane music in the pool area. She will come down on you if your porch is dirty but break basically every rule in the pool area. Every month at this complex is stressful and like walking on eggshells, and when I asked for a district managers email to complain, she never provided it. Unless you have no choice, just don't live here it's miserable.
