Property Ratings at Meridian at Gallery Place
Throughout the 3 years I lived at this apartment, I experienced an infestation of roaches and mice, and floods at minimum annually, but usually more often. The worst part of all of this was the property manager, Patrick. He is condescending and, in one phone call, yelled at and berated me for asking questions about his plan to solve the pest control issue in our home. He has also on several occasions explained very basic concepts to me as if I'm a child. the unit flooded at least once/year, with the final flood incurring property damage from 3 inches of water covering our floors and requiring folks to stay in hotels. water damage coated our walls for months leading up to the incident, with a confirmation that the problem was solved several weeks before the worst of it happened. i’d recommend leasing anywhere else.

It’s ideally located but that means there’s a lot of outside noise. Cars, people yelling, loud music at all hours. Also, they have “tile replacement” at least three times per week so you hear loud drilling over your head all day. They don’t care about your well-being or you having a comfortable experience in your home. Just stay far away.

I am so upset with this place. They had a faulty leak in their storage closet. Since I live in the sunroom, it leaked all over my room. I came home one day from work and my room was torn apart and a fan attempting to fix the damage. Instead of apologies or anything, I ended up with over $500 in damaged clothes, a broken ipad, and many other damages. Did the Meridian compensate me for any of this? of course not. This is after many back and forth emails of them "trying to fix this situation." Good riddance.

I've lived here for 2 years and can't wait to get out. Everything about this place besides my actual apartment is terrible. Do not expect the leasing office to help you with ANYTHING. After living here for a year and a half, they tried to raise my month-to-month rent $500. After going back and forth I got it down to $300 more. It's absurd. They lure you in with great prices then increase them every time renewal comes around. The leasing office will not help you with anything, they are extremely poorly organized. Every time I've had to renew my rent there's been an issue and it has taken over a month to set it straight. My pet had fleas and after sending in two maintenance requests for an exterminator I went down to the office and they wouldn't do it because "I brought the fleas in." My cat lives by himself and isn't in contact with any other animals. To top it all off, we've had construction in the lobby for about 5 months, loud, invasive construction. We can't take the side door, have to walk past people in the gym to go outside. Can't stand in the lobby at all because of all the construction, there are also no chairs. They've been losing all of our mail because the mail room is gone. Please do not rent from here. You can do better.

The Meridians are well known through the DC Metro area. The one in Gallery Place is definitely one that is known as well - mainly because of location - which is great. The Meridian here has great facilities - rooftop pool, grill, community room, and gym. A beautiful entrance and someone always on front desk duty. The apartments could be updated a little bit but they aren't awful by any means. It's Meridian sister across the street at Mt Vernon Triangle blows it away. Located a few mins from the Verizon Center and bars, next to a Safeway, and close to downtown, this is truly a great location for a young professional. My main complaint would be the slowness of the leasing staff. That would be my one area I suggest in fixing.

The Meridian at Gallery Place is one of the best spots in the city. It is located only a couple of blocks from the metro, restaurants, night life, the monuments and more! The rooftop pool and outdoor grill space make it easy to never want to leave. With reasonable rent, great amenities and friendly neighbors the Meridian at Gallery Place is the place for you.
I had a one bedroom with a sunroom to myself. Most of the time 2 roommates will split this room (one in bedroom, one in sunroom). Sunroom is gorgeous but gets excessively hot in the summer and excessively cold in the winter, but my utility bills were still pretty low (max ~$50/mon, min about $25/mon). I'd just never want to be the "sunroom roommate". Walk-in closet is massive, the flow and layout of the apartments (facing Mass Ave at least) are extremely efficient so no wasted space. Rooftop pool is always popping - not quite a Miami pool party, but lots of young hot people up there having a good time. I hosted parties there regularly. Gym is really big, never waited for a machine. Doormen/leasing office were pretty nice (I like the big Indian guy at the front desk a lot) and fixed any issues that came up with billing pretty rapidly. I will say my toilet kept flushing out of control though so maybe that's a design flaw. They replaced it and fixed it. Not sure if other people had this issue. Location amazing - couple blocks to Gallery Place metro stop. Overall loved loved loved the building and would recommend it to anyone.
The building a better than average apartment building, with a decent sized gym and a nice pool. The rooms are fine, but on the small side. I lived in a sunroom, which was as the name suggests quite sunny however it was also quite cold in the winters. Overall a positive experience; I would say that if you're looking for a homey feel this probably isn't the best building, most of it's residents are recent graduates. Things get a little loud on weekends
This building couldn't be more perfectly located with tons of restaurants nearby and easy access to transportation! It's a quick walk to either gallery place or metro center so you can jump on any color line without the need to transfer. The staff in the building are very helpful and wonderful to work with. The front desk staff are especially polite and do a wonderful job with security. The rates are reasonable, especially when you consider all the money you save by having laundry in unit, access to the gym, rooftop, and pool. This is the perfect building for recent grads and young professionals.
I am obsessed with my building. Everyone who works there is super nice and helpful. There is a rooftop pool. A ROOF TOP POOL. I honestly can't say enough, when we moved in the apartment was clean and looked brand new. Any maintenance request we've had (which were minor) were handled with care and promptly. The staff answers our questions quick and there is an online portal that keeps you organized when it comes to rent. Everyone at the front desk are angels. They are not only helpful but awesome people who are great to even just have a conversation with. They actually threw us a resident appreciation week with margaritas, gelato, and more. I love the Meridian and have already said I don't ever want to leave.
This apartment is awesome if you are a recent graduate. Everyone is young, there is a pool on the roof, and a gym in the lobby. The staff are extremely helpful. If you are looking for a very quiet place it may not be perfect for you. I know it gets a little loud on Friday and Saturday nights. It's not an ideal place to raise a kid, but if you are young it is very ideal. They are also dog friendly.
the neighborhood is amazing and the building is perfectly fine. I've only ever had a problem with Kevin at the front desk, but everyone else is pleasant and accommodating. As for the leasing office, getting a good agent is hit or miss but the reasonable rent is worth it.
