Property Ratings at Marion Park Apartments
Marion Park has been an amazing home for my partner, pets, and me. Our apartment is conveniently located near a large field, which my dog adores. Despite being situated near Sunshine, the complex is generally peaceful. Baylor has been incredibly responsive whenever we have reached out to them. Additionally, the layout of our apartment is perfect, and I love it!
Management and all staff are excellent. We love the pet friendly and clean environment.
I am going on my 8th year at Marion Park Apartments and I consider it home!! I love how our apartment community has so many amenities and social events to make apartment living fun! Great management, fun events, competitive but fair pricing, pet friendly, free internet wifi, washer/dryer connections in apartment, gym, theatre room. And that's just a few examples of what you can discover at Marion Park Apartments by TLC!! I highly recommend if your a college student, live the single life, or have a family and want to be within range of restaurants, shopping, and an Apartment Life team that keeps apartment living fun, check Marion Park Apartments out for your next place to live!! Perfect for working from home, of course my little mascot Kally is not included :)!!
After seeing these reviews, I needed to express my positive experience thus far. Move in was delayed a little to cleaning, but they waived the remainder of my fees which was very kind of them. Also get some rental assistance through a program, they were very patient and kind, even though my caseworker dropped the ball a couple of times. Mostly students live here and I have had no noise problems and the heat and A/C work amazingly. I will be renewing my lease!
Completely unprofessional management. This apartment complex will not only completely disregard any of your concerns, but even when it comes to a health concern of mold they are unwilling to take any action without consistent verbal and in person demands. They refuse to compensate rent for a leak that caused damage to the apartment and allowed mold to grow even after we have documented several occasions we requested someone to come take a look at the carpet because it smelt like mold. Our walls in our second bedroom were covered in black mold, and a comforter and nice shoes were ruined. They let our second bedroom grow mold, and damage our property and refuse to compensate us for any of it. Management lied to us over and over again about dates for repair and would not return countless emails and phone calls, they only came by to repair stuff after repeated in person visits to the office, one of which took from open to close on a Saturday with a property manager that only works there on Saturdays who actually came and addressed our problem after a month of it being this way. No damage would have come to the apartment, and no mold would have grown risking our health and damaging our property had management listened to us. They have brushed us off onto 4 different property managers, and a customer service rep who have all done nothing to compensate our rent or our damaged property. If we had not gone out of our way and wasted so much time begging them to get this cleaned up so we weren't breathing in mold, the issue would still be there. They let it go on for over a month before doing anything at all. No one communicates whatsoever, and they certainly don't take care of their renters. We have tried so hard to just inform people to stop any damage from happening, and they treat us like a problem. The apartment itself is nice, and we have no complaints of neighbors, or noise, and in the past maintenance has done a great job of promptly fixing things. The issue is due to property management who refused to address our problem and help us to get it fixed and they now won't take responsibility for it even though we have documented phone calls and emails requesting maintenance to take care of the issue. We recommended this place to many people, some of which now live here and we hugely regret it after an incident like this.
Being my first apartment, I was very excited to move in. However, three days later I would take it all back. I should also mentioned all of this happened in 2 weeks time. On the first night, the people above us kept us all up till 5:30 a.m. with noise. THEY SHOULD HAVE A QUIET TIME POLICY LIKE EVERY OTHER PLACE. The sink in our smaller bathroom leaked. My room was always 10 degrees hotter than my other 2 roommates. One of my roommates doors never closed, and we had maintenance fix both of those (although my room was still hot!). Two days later, we had fleas. With brand new carpet, it's obvious that they would have treated it for pests before laying down the new carpet, especially since the tenant before us had pets! But they had not, because they are CHEAP. They have done walk-throughs several times and always said it was fine, but my roommates and I haven't been able to live in our apartment for 2 weeks because the fleas BITE!!! You couldn't even walk into the HARD WOOD FLOORED KITCHEN without getting swarmed and bitten! They didn't have an exterminator come in and fog out the place, but instead told us to vacuum everyday (shouldn't be our job or responsibility), get foggers (yes spend our own money), and try other remedies (yes, 3 unemployed college students who just moved 200 miles to a new city expected to pay more money!). After spending $100 on items to kill the bugs, they still refused to reduce our rent, EVEN THOUGH WE CAN'T OCCUPY THE SPACE because of THEIR mistake. I am not happy at all with this apartment complex. They have an extremely nice staff, but it is dirty, cheap, and not worth over $1000 in rent each month. Highly suggest asking that all flea and other pest control is up to date and that all carpet be cured before moving in. Also, check to see what kind of tenants you had before you move in.
