The section of Arlington bordering Ronald Reagan Washington International Airport just south of the Pentagon is largely a business and commercial district full of large high-rise buildings. The lifestyle here is distinctly urban, with many corporate professionals living very close to where they work (the close proximity to the airport, the Pentagon, and Washington also makes the Crystal City community a popular choice for government employees and frequent travelers).

Property Ratings at Lofts 590
The apartments and building are old and run down. The rent is too high for the low quality.
Lofts 590 is by far the absolute worst apartment building I have ever lived in. What lofts 590 won’t tell you is that they have a major pest infestation. I had cockroaches in my own apartment within the first month of living there. Management’s response was for me to wait a week for the orkin guy to come out on his reoccurring weekly treatment visit. I've never heard of a place that has a weekly standing pest control treatment - clearly they have a major issue they can’t control and are not making their residents aware. Which leads me to wonder how many health code violations are going on without resident knowledge? During this entire ordeal having my apartment infested with cockroaches I was told by local management that "we can’t help you" and "you'll have to wait and deal with it". So I contact corporate headquarters who sent me over to Corey at the DC office who never even responded to my concerns. He had his assistant call because "he was too busy to deal with this small issue". Great to know that’s how Equity Corporation treats their residents. Local management is a complete joke. Sarah the "property manager" is complete inadequate and under qualified for any management role. She is constantly rude when you try to approach her with concerns, will not return any emails or calls in a timely (24 hour window) manner. During my many calls with Gideon, who at least pretended to try and help, I could constantly over hear her in the background saying "well I’m not helping her" and "she'll just have to deal with it". I waited so long to write this review for fear of retaliation. Which clearly was the correct move because when a renewal offer became available they increased my rent by 7%. The reasoning for this extremely high rent increase I was given was for “inflation purposes”. I asked other neighbors who lived here – not a single one of them had the high of a rent increase I was given. By far the absolute worst place filled with coach roaches and disrespectful management. Not only was Lofts 590 a colossal disappointment but Equity was as well. I tried to talk to local management (zero help), DC Management (zero help) and even talked to national management (again zero help). I will never live anywhere associated with Equity ever again and I will advise every single person against it as well.
Love the front desk concierge and the maintenance staff here at Lofts 590. They really do go above and beyond to make sure that all residents are content.
