A 2,000-acre community in northwest Hillsborough County, Westchase sits roughly 16 miles northwest of Tampa, where more than 30 distinct neighborhoods share hundreds of acres of preserved natural land. Daily life here revolves around walkable village centers, paved community trails, and the kind of easy access to dining and shopping that most suburbs can only promise. West Park Village and Westchase Town Center put restaurants, coffee, fitness, and retail within a short walk, and the Gulf beaches of Clearwater and St. Petersburg are a straightforward drive away.
The rental and ownership landscape includes everything a renter could want, from sprawling apartment communities to spacious rental homes. Contemporary stucco and farmhouse-style architecture define much of the streetscape, giving the community a look like no other city.
Approved by Hillsborough County commissioners in April 1991, Westchase was built as a deed-restricted community, and that planning ethos still shapes everything from the maintained green spaces to the community swimming pools. Tampa International Airport is about 13 miles away, making travel logistics straightforward for residents who commute regionally or fly frequently.
