I love living in a place that is close to a major city, but far enough away that it feels like a small town. I like the suburban feel but do wish we had better restaurants and fun things to do without having to go all the way uptown. I wish we had the lightrail train through Steele Creek so I could get on it and go to Uptown or all the way to UNCC.

We moved to the area in 2018 and were happy, but feel like it's going downhill. There are lack of any decent restaurants, roads are filled with traffic because there has been no road lane expansion (was planned, but then pulled), crime is on the rise especially in terms of car break-in's, many panhandlers are in the area, and trash is everywhere. Also, in the Berewick area, you will hear airplanes all the time. On a positive note, it's close to Fort Mill, Lake Wylie and other nice areas of Charlotte.

I love how diverse Steele Creek is and I love to see all of the new people joining this community from all over the country. I think it is a very special place due to its proximity to downtown Charlotte and the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. One downside to this beautiful suburb of Charlotte is that the traffic is constantly increasing because of all the new housing in the area. I can tell that this is something that does not turn many people away because the community continues to grow and flourish.

I like the places and shopping areas in this neighborhood, but it really needs some more restaurants and food places for the growing community to eat at.
