Pico Rivera is a centrally located, residential community southeast of Los Angeles. Los Angeles sits just 13 miles away while Anaheim is less than 20 miles south of Pico Rivera. The city is about 30 minutes away from natural attractions like the San Gabriel Mountains and Huntington Beach, but residents don’t have to go far for great opportunities. Although Pico Rivera is only nine square miles, the city has dedicated over 100 acres of land for community parks. Whittier Narrows Natural Area sits on the north side of the city, providing a huge complex of hiking trails, lakes, and even a clay shooting facility. Next door to the massive park, Pico Rivera Sports Arena draws big crowds for rodeos, wrestling matches, and concerts. The city’s center thoroughfare, Rosemead Boulevard, is lined with premiere shopping and dining destinations at retail centers like the Pico Rivera Towne Center and Crossroads Plaza. More shopping opportunities are located just south of Pica Rivera in the city of Downey. The rest of Pico Rivera is made up of residential avenues. Thanks to new developments, renters have choices of modern apartments.
