While it may be small, Lowell is a city with a wide variety of amenities and attractions. Situated between Charlotte and Gastonia just off I-85, Lowell borders George Paston Park and the South Fork Catawba River. Commuters can reach Downtown Charlotte in less than 20 minutes and Gastonia in under 10, and students enjoy easy access to nearby Belmont Abbey College and Gaston College. Lowell has a small-town, family-friendly vibe which spills over into its charming, wooded neighborhoods and popular restaurants with names like Grits N Greens Southern Cuisine and Hillbilly’s Barbeque and Steaks. You’ll find residents hiking the trails in George Paston Park and shopping at Franklin Square.
