If you travel by car, the Westbank Expressway will provide quick access to the entirety of the Westbank. The expressway is also the direct route to the Crescent City Connection, a pair of bridges across the Mississippi River between the Westbank and New Orleans. In the other direction, the Westbank Expressway (as U.S. 90) will bring you to the Huey P. Long Bridge and across the Mississippi River, to the suburbs of Elmwood and Metairie and points beyond. Jefferson Parish, the parish (that is, the county) in which Harvey is located, has a well-developed public transportation system, Jefferson Transit or JeT.
