Frenchtown Houston, TX

Once a hub for Creole and Cajun culture, this Houston neighborhood is on the rise

Urban Up-and-coming Commuter

Frenchtown was once a mecca for Creole and Cajun culture with colorful patios, mouth-watering cuisine, and lively zydeco music. A part of the historic Fifth Ward, this area helped shaped the Bayou culture current in present day, but much of the original Frenchtown is gone. Today, the community is in transition with modest apartments, duplexes, and ranch homes. There are several religious centers in the community. The area is affordable as well. On the west side of the neighborhood, there are several industrial and manufacturing buildings where some residents work.

This area is a great location for commuters, just 10 minutes from downtown Houston. Interstate 69 HOV and Eastex Hwy runs through town for quick access. If you’re looking for an apartment within your budget with a quaint feel, discover your new home in Frenchtown today.
