Fillmore is a small city on the banks of the Santa Clara River, about 25 miles inland from Oxnard. Historically an agricultural community, Fillmore is surrounded by orchards and farmlands. In recent years the city has become a popular tourism destination, largely thanks to its abundant vintage architecture, often dating back over a century. Ventura Street is lined with shopping centers and chain retailers, while the area surrounding the intersection of Main and Central serves as amore walkable shopping and dining district.
