Williamsburg combines colonial heritage with contemporary living, offering residents both historic charm and modern conveniences. As home to the College of William & Mary, this Virginia city spans 9 square miles and features diverse housing options, from colonial-style homes near Duke of Gloucester Street to newer communities throughout the area. Currently, rental prices range from $1,042 for studios to $2,388 for four-bedroom homes, with one-bedroom units averaging $1,575 monthly. While some rental categories have shown modest increases between 0.2% to 5.3% year-over-year, Williamsburg's housing costs remain competitive compared to larger Virginia metropolitan areas.
The city extends beyond its renowned Colonial Williamsburg district, offering residents extensive parks and recreation areas. Located between the James and York Rivers, Williamsburg provides opportunities for outdoor activities, while Merchants Square features local shops and restaurants.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Colonial Pines
This complex has given so much to my little family. The office staff is great and so generous with their time as my little loves to stop by the office just to say hello to her favorite people. Maintenance is quick to fix any issue that may occur. The neighbors are kind, respectful, and quiet. There are no negative things I can say.
It’s safe and we call it home. Thanks for assisting us in our rental needs.
The floor squeeks throughtout the day and night. If you live downstairs and have an upstairs neighbor who can't sleep until after 2am, it's a disaster. The apartment can not repair the floor slab, can not change the room for you, can not let the neighbors quiet, nor let you sublet, nor give compensation, nor let you move out of the apartment early, if you move out early as an absolute breach of contract, require 60 days notice period (pay rent)and an additional two months of penalty fee. In short, they are in breach of contract and can not provide a habitable house, they have no responsibility and can not do anything. You can only accept to any conditions they put forward and remain kind. Now I moved from the room to the living room to sleep.I'm ready to go to small claims court to settle the matter. Do not rent this apartment, especially on the first floor.
