’ve been here since 2021 and I absolutely love it! Not only do you get to live on this gorgeous complex, you get to meet the lovely staff too. The leasing office staff are so friendly, reliable, and genuine. The maintenance staff are the goat; they’re super quick, efficient, and hardworking. The whole team makes this place feel like home. My lease is up in November, but I’m already planning on renewing!

If you have any other options, seriously consider those. These apartments are older and management/maintenance fixes everything the cheapest way possible and if they can simply paint over it, they will. The apartment I moved in (2302) was filled with cat hair at the beginning of my lease in October 2022. Another cleaning lady was sent out and she apologized saying there was only so much she could do because most of it was painted into the walls. My oven was replaced, thankfully, and maintenance simply painted over the windows seals which had the most hair. I was left to deal with the rest. My AC went out several times and each time it was due to "freon". My washer began leaking and I put in a maintenance request. I was told it was resolved, turned the washer on and it ended up flooding the kitchen/dining room areas with a couple inches of water. Maintenance didn't know how to clean up the water so it just sat there until it caved my downstairs neighbors roof in. Nothing was replaced from this incident in my unit except the carpet padding. The baseboards and drywall areas were simply - you guessed it - painted over. Management made ZERO effort to reach out to me during this time, I had to continually call in and make complaints. I escalated this issue to corporate and was given the option to vacate the unit within 30 days, which I did. Upon move out, I received a bill for $1100 for paint "touch up" and full carpet replacement. I had the carpet professionally cleaned four times during the 8 months I lived here. There was NO visible stains or odors when I moved out of this unit but I was told I was being charged for stains on the under side of the carpet. Something as simple as spilling water on carpet will leave a stain on the under side. I went to the leasing office to see these damages for myself and was denied access to the unit. I was offered photos and once I looked closer, the photos showing stains were not even my apartment. I truly believe these charges are a result of me reporting inappropriate comments that were made to me by a maintenance man to corporate - which was another issue that made me extremely uncomfortable as a single woman. I wish I would've listened to the reviews before moving here because I seriously regret it.

Worst place I have ever lived in. Management was bad, but when this new management moved in, it became worse. I urge you to look elsewhere if you are looking for a place to live. Apply if you love super thin walls that allow you to hear your neighbor snoring, and internet packages that no matter what provider are subpar. Constant complaints of packages being taken from front doors while they claim to be a gated community, every other day the gate was broken. You are forced to pay for valet trash service even if you can very well walk your trash to the dumpster. Anytime you use the shower or the toilet you have to endure this loud annoying noise from the pipes and your neighbors because like I mentioned super thin walls.

Recently moved out of apartment and was told I had to pay for damaged items in apartment that were damaged when I moved in. Apparently they can’t find move in inventory form that was turned in when I moved in, so they withheld part of deposit and are unwilling to work with us. Maintenance staff even fixed some of issues listed on turned in form, but I’m told they only have a signed blank form which doesn’t even have signatures?! We were even charged for “cleaning” even though we cleaned but that was no issue. Being charged for the mistakes of others is unacceptable.

I moved here in September of 2020. The office was willing to work with me since I had no rental history. My former employer supplied me with housing so despite a good credit history I had no rental history. It is handy to Whole Foods, the library, Liberty Burger, Lakewood VCA, and Santa Fe trail. Property is well cared for and I've found to office responsive to any problems. During the Big Freeze, they did better than other complexes, yes we lost water but they had porta potties set up which helped a lot.

Secluded, quiet, safe, awesome location and a community feel in Lakewood Dallas! Alesha and her staff are great and responsive!

I am currently in the process of moving in and the experience so far has been great. My place was clean, working with Alesha has been wonderful, and everyone I have met so far has been welcoming. I will update as I keep living but right now everything is awesome! Thanks Lakewood On The Trail team!

While the location is great there are several issues with this apartment. The first being that the AC does not work properly. During the summer, the temperature in my apartment is usually 82 degrees. Maintenance is usually good about responding but it is always a quick and temporary fix. Property management refuses to handle the issue despite it causing health problems.

I am very happy living here. Great location Quiet neighborhood. Great access to the Santa Fe Trail.

Give Earl kudos and a raise!He was friendly, timely, helpful, knowledgeable, and represents LOTT well. As a six-year resident, I have always been extremely impressed with how the staff and ownership of this property handled every aspect of mananging things for this community.

My move was a last minute move. Single mom I was looking for safety and variety of floor plans. I fell in love with Lakewood on the Trail. The different floor plans with great amenities made me really happy. Been here almost a month now and I am loving it. Its quiet, beautiful neighborhood and friendly staffs. Very clean and I am happy to call this my home now. Thanks for helping me get this apartment we love it here.

Lakewood on the Trail is a great property and location. Nice people, quiet area with easy access to the Sante Fe Trail and fun Lakewood town center. The staff are friendly and eager to please. I love it here and will be resigning a lease since moving here from CT.

Everything is nice about Lakewood on the Trail.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. I have so many reasons why you shouldn't lease here, but bottom line up front the staff doesn't care anything but your money. 1)Maintenance issues go weeks without resolution. Example, my AC in June. Cost me $$ in electric bill spike. The unit never cooled under 80*. They tried to tell me it was normal for the season. 2 wks later they eventually replaced the outdoor unit. Problem solved. 2)Dogs run off their leashes(highly unsafe as I have a 5 year old) and defecate everywhere where it just sits for weeks. I've called, emailed & talked to office in person. They told me to report specific people. I did but the office did nothing. The pools were closed multiple times spring thru fall because dogs were "defecating in & around the pool area"-such a classy place. 3)Valet trash you PAY for ($25 per mo) is unreliable. Not just because holidays or "weather" - just random nights they don't pick up. 4)Residents are LOUD & walls are THIN. We literally WITNESSED a car full of girls at 2am blasting their music in the parking lot where they continued to drink & woop & even URINATE in the lot for another 30 mins before going into their apartment. 5)I was unable to use my balcony OR access my storage for nearly my ENTIRE final lease period. I resigned in Apr for 8 mos. Apr 30 they told us to take everything off balconies for "repairs". It took them until Aug to even BEGIN structural work. They were still sending emails to keep off in Oct & they'd let us know when it was ok to use them again. Never received that ok. 6)I asked to cancel my carport spot for the last mo. of my lease. They let me cancel a spot I had for my motorcycle 2 yrs ago when I sold it - no problem, no questions asked. (I have another story about THAT spot regarding them mistakenly TOWING my bike). They were so petty that "it's part of my lease" and I had to pay the last $35 + prorated 9 days in Dec. Here's the best part - someone was parked in my spot & they didn't enforce a tow. But I paid DAILY without budge from them on that spot. They are the worst - they don't want to help anyone, they don't care how terrible the community is, or how petty they are. All they want is your money & then they continue to nickel & dime you even AFTER you move out. I filed a complaint in Aug to the district mgr, & no kidding, her response was "legally, all we have to do is make sure your space is habitable." Well if you want the legal minimum, I guess this just might be for you.

I have enjoyed the apartment and complex. The location is great and the neighborhood is quiet.

I've been here for about a month, and so far I love it. This complex is so charming and I love how it's not a cookie cutter apartment layout. There's tons of kitchen space, which is one of my favorite things about my place, and the finishes are nice and high end. It's pretty quiet for a complex of this size. I moved in this summer into a unit right across from the main pool, and the noise to me is hardly noticeable. The only thing I'd say so far, and this is a random one, but the pipes are extremely loud inside the walls. My neighbor turned on their bath faucet and I literally jumped it's startled me so much. I don't know if there is anything management can do about that, and it could be just me, but I've never heard pipes so loud in an apartment before. But overall, this is a very nice place to live and I plan on staying for a while!

An older property that is upgrading everything to current industry standards and beyond. Great staff -mamagement to maintenance

Lakewood is a nice , quiet communities with a great staff. They are improving and upgrading the property all the time.It just keeps getting nicer to be here. Highly recommended

My favorite thing about living at Lakewood on the Trail is all the natural light my apartment gets through the large living room windows, and french doors that lead out to the patio. It's so rare to find an apartment that isn't just a box with one or two windows anymore! And cooking in my kitchen while being able to look out onto my patio outside just makes the space feel so much bigger. Oh, and the kitchen finishes are really beautiful too!!

The apartment itself is beautiful and the location is great as it is near trails, a golf course, stores, and lower Greenville/Deep Ellum, Downtown.

I have been here since 2015. So apparently, I must like living here. There are just a few things I've had to complain about. One is having to contact the office staff about a $100 gift card I should have received in June for signing my lease early. The other is no one has responded to my email I sent on June 12th regarding reimbursement for fans running in my apt. to dry it out due to neighbor apt. fire.

The staff doesnt listen or care about your needs. Multiple attempts to talk with management have gone unanswered.

I absolutely love this community. Each time Ive had to come back to the Dallas area for work, I always choose Lakewood on the Trail as my community.

I lived here for 3 months and I am so glad we decided to move here. Lakewood On The Trail a Hidden Treasure nestled in a suburban neighborhood. Its Quiet and Pet Friendly. My Favorite Community thus Far.

Absolutely do not live here. Management is horrible, apartments are awful, not worth it. I wish I would have read the other reviews and lived somewhere else!!!

Really enjoy watching the transformation of each building with the painting! It really brightens up the community and great job on the color scheme!

Overall experience has been great at Lakewood on The Trail! The staff they have now is amazing and will help you out with anything you need. I love the Santa Fe Trail and my awesome apartment that feels like a house! I made a garden on my patio and it feels like a home. I never want to leave! I have been living here for 3 years now. The property went through some changes when it got bought out. It was a pain having to move out of my apartment for 3 months and then move back in after the upgrades, but man does it look a lot better and they paid for my movers and everything! I love everything the new property owners have done. They put so many beautiful flowers and they always keep up with the landscape. I have never see the pools turn green! Everything is so well maintained. Safety- I feel very safe here. I have never had my car broken into like another comment I have read on here. The gate is always fixed fast if it is broken down and they have this cop car that patrols at night to make sure everything is ok. I have even seen Larry which is the maintenance supervisor, patrol for us at night while they were fixing the gate. Thank you Lakewood On The Trail. I hope this staff and owner stays for a while!

Lakewood On The Trail is awesome! I rent at the bike they have and hit the Santa Fe Trail almost every day. Alexis and Jamie are so nice and always have a smile on their faces. I could not be happier here! New management rocks!

I was really nervous moving from out of state and having to relocate without looking at the apartment in person. When I called they were so friendly and assisted me with any questions I had. They made the decision and move so much easier for me. I have been living in my new home for 5 months now and love every minute of it! It is so quiet and feels so safe! I love the Santa Fe Trail!

Love the staff and the area! It feels nice to be close to everything and located in a housing community where I feel safe to ride my bike. I have lived here for 3 years now and love the new upgrades the new management did!

Love living right on the Sante Fe Trail. Pricing is good and I'm very happy with my apartment. The office staff has been very helpful with any questions or needs I have had. Much better than I expected!
