Washington, DC's historic Waterfront neighborhood is both dynamic and diverse. Historic row houses sit in the shadow of mid-century government buildings, luxury condos, and high-rise office buildings. The largest houseboat community on the Eastern seaboard adds a touch of the quirky to this already unique area. Waterfront extends along the Anacostia River and dates back to the 1700s, when it was part of Piere L'Enfant's original city plans. Some of Waterfront's oldest buildings include Wheat Row, a series of row houses built around 1794. Leasing staff is friendly, helpful, and always available. maintainence staff is very slow and does not want to do the work. Apartments are poorly put together (paint chips instantly, appliances put in backwards, always a problem with water and air temps etc.) Location is great IF you catch metro, if you drive just get a parking pass (300 a month). If you’re young and single this is a great place to move. If you have children, find a building that is more kid friendly. If you ABSOLUTELY LOVE DOGS move here, it feels like a pet hotel (dogs literally the size of small horses here and im not exaggerating)

Good experience so far. Easy move in and supportive staff. Recommend expanding gym equipment, such as with additional barbell weights, cable attachments, and a back extension bench.

Nice building. Quiet neighbors. Pleasant staff. Across the street from where the excitement is. Only thing is if you don’t pay the additional monthly parking fee, you have a hard time finding parking on the street or risk getting tickets due to the streets being full, especially during the Spring/Summer time.

The building is new. It has elevator issues at times, however, it is usually just an inconvenience and not all a huge problem. Great vibes. Pretty views.

Will officially be a resident or partial resident of J.C. Row for a year as of May 18th. Overall, it has been a good experience, and the amenities are excellent. Pros for me: - Location - 24H Gym (given that we work both U.S. and European hours sometimes) - Parking (Half Pro) - Pool (Once it was finally opened) - Roof (Nice BBQ and community area) - Pet Areas (Small but adequate) Cons for me: - Micro community (1st Floor Only) complaints about gym use and threats to regulate hours for the Macro community. I use the gym regularly, can't lift heavy anymore, but I also don't ever see anyone intentionally slamming weights. A gym has weights, which sometimes causes noise. You knew you were moving in next to when you selected your apartment. Buy ear plugs (LOL). - Parking (Half Con): Four times I returned from weekend work or trips, sometimes really late at night, just to find someone parked in my paid parking spot.

Great area, great vibes. I love being so close to the metro and having many options for dinning out. Harris Teeter is a little hike away but it's handy when in a pinch. Big plus is being able to see the Nats play their games and watch the summer concert series from the roof and my apartment.

I just moved into J. Coopers Row and it’s been a wonderful experience so far. The building itself is brand new and the amenities are fantastic. Their penthouse floor has a pool along with beautiful views of the Capitol and Nats Park. The metro is conveniently two blocks away. Everything from grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants are all walking distance. The windows installed help keep the majority of the noise out. The staff is the best part though. They have all been extremely helpful, responsive, and professional since day one. Everyone from the leasing team, building management, to the maintenance staff made my move less stressful. They go above and beyond for their residents. I strongly recommend checking out J. Coopers Row for your next home.

I love living at J. Coopers Row! The pool table in the penthouse has been one my favorite things to do in the building. Also, I am a huge fan of my view of Nationals Park.

It’s been alright so far! Had a few hiccups moving in and some concierge aren’t friendly and didn’t get the apartment I was told I would get but either way, leasing office was helpful. Amenities are awesome and my apartment is beautiful. Everything works well so far.

Apartment is new and beautiful. It is in a great location close to grocery stores, gyms, bars, restaurants, and the National stadium. Staff is very nice and does a good job maintaining the apartment.

Staff is great! They have been very quick to action all requests. Amenities are always available. Garage door has been the only issue I've encountered.

I really like these apartments. Everyone is friendly, it's quiet, and in an area that has everything in walking distance. I also like that is is close to the metro.

Garage has been broken for a month, still not fixed. Our dryer still has not been fixed going in week 3 of it. Nothing seems like a rush to be fixed here

J. Cooper's is a beautiful building with great amenities and friendly staff. I moved from out of state and the leasing agents were incredibly helpful with anything I needed. The property is clean, and the units are unique. J. Cooper's is a great place to live!

Apartment is always very clean and smelling good. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. Great location with access to waterfront, bars, restaurants, and Nats stadium. Wish there were more apartment events to meet people.

Communication is severely lacking. Just in the first month I've ran into the following issues: - Water completely shutoff for a day with no warning and no communication from building. - Someone was shot directly in front of the building entrance last night and I had to walk around police tape to get home. Again, no communication or safety updates from building. - Elevator down for a week and AC down for a week in gym. No communication from building. Issues happen, especially things that can't be controlled. But the lack of communication with residents, especially given the safety concerns of the neighborhood, is an issue. Would not recommend renting if you have options elsewhere.

The apartment location is great! There’s so much to do around the ballpark area (all walking distance away). The apartment itself is new and modern and the staff has been extremely helpful!
