Property Ratings at Hudson Woods
This could be an amazing complex if the management invested some money into updating the units. The pipes are done, AC units are very outdated, the appliances are from the 1970s, the carpet is old and smelly, the windows are old and off track. Just an overall wreak.

All plumbing, AC units and appliances are being updated consistently throughout the property. 2022 will be a big year for Hudson Woods with a plan for a renovation. I have lived here a year and plan on staying here! Very clean, and maintenance gets the work done fast!
While the apartment itself is nice, aside from the oddly small toilets, maintenance is horrible about fixing things in a timely manner. You can put a ticket in and even call the office but nothing gets taken care of. Whomever is in charge (maybe someone at Southwood Realty) really needs to address this with the staff. I don’t know if maintenance is overwhelmed or just doesn’t care but either way it’s unfair to the residents. This is not how anyone should conduct business. I’m looking to move out as soon as possible.

I have lived here for over a year and have been having AC trouble the entire time. I have been told that a specialty team is coming out to look at it twice in about 6-8 months. Today I came home to find some stuff moved around in my kitchen and when I go to the office to inquire about it I am told we will be getting a new refrigerator, when I have never once said that it is not working. I have an Ac unit that is have working and costing me money because it never shuts off and a refrigerator that works fine. Who on earth decides to spend money on a new refrigerator and not an AC unit.

I applied over a week ago. Someone in the office is so incompetent that they put my last name as the Road I lived on and proceeded to keep applying with the wrong name. Every time I called I was told it was processing, I didn’t get any information on what happened until I spoke to someone from the Reality Agency. Management seems to not be able to get themselves together. I have amazing credit and my background check is clear, they would know that if they had people in their office that knew how to input their future residents information correctly. Don’t waste your time with them. They’ve definitely left a bad taste in my mouth! Especially when you tell me it’ll take 24-48 hours for an answer and it’s been over a week.

Hudson Woods Apartments in Gastonia NC is an awesome place to live. It is only mins from the major interstate 85. It is 15 minutes from downtown Charlotte. The staff is very helpful and will take care of any problems in a timely professional manner. I highly recommend this apartment complex.
