The front office staff here is amazing, especially Lauren - who continually steps up and helps however she can. The only reason I would not give it a 10 is the lower quality of building materials/appliances and level of cleanliness (I don't think my windows or blinds or walls have ever been dusted or cleaned).

Highlands Lodge is an 'amazing place to call home.' The location makes it very easy to get anywhere in KC. Shopping, nitelife, bars and restaurants within walking distance. The facilities are first class, up to date and always clean. The stone, wood and architecture makes me feel like I'm in a Rocky Mountain condo. The Indian Creek Trail walking system and Leawood Park nearby makes it truly seem like one is living in a 'Colorado setting'.

Highlands lodge is a beautiful apartment complex with a very suburban feel. It has all of the beauty of nature pathways to bike and walk on while also having the convince of being near the city and downtown. The apartments have beautiful appliances and cabinetry while also being large enough in space to feel comfortable. Not only this, but the maintenance crew and leasing team provide a warm welcome and bring a great sense of community to this complex. It has a very home-y feel while still achieving a modern and beautiful look.

Highlands Lodge is a top notch luxury apartment complex in a great area of Kansas. Prices are more than competitive and the clubhouse has all the amenities you could want. The walking/running/biking trail out back is a huge bonus!

Highlands lodge has a clean, safe and cozy environment. Close proximity to many business including shopping centers, entertainment and the interstate. Amenities are updated and the living areas are large with adequate storage space.

Amazing location with quick drive to anywhere in KC metro - KS or MO. The setting with Indian Creek Trail and being surrounding by trees makes one feel theyre in Colorado.

I have lived here at Highlands Lodge for approximately two years. The complex is newer, clean and quiet. The apartments themselves are still in good condition and have great amenities. This complex is also pet friendly, more so than other complexes in the area. Management is fine and the maintenance staff are great. The only issue is the price of the apartments when compared to others of the same quality in the area. If you can afford to live here I would recommend the complex.

Highlands Lodge is in a great location for easy access and is in the middle of a nature preserve and bicycle trail system which is very enjoyable.

When my husband and I moved to Overland Park from out of town, Highlands Lodge was the first apartment complex we stopped at. We had a great experience with the staff (especially for being a walk-in with no appointment). The staff helped us with everything necessary for our move and provided great customer service. Now we're happy to be residents!

This was a good place to live when we moved in 3 years ago. Below is a list of why you shouldn't move here. 1. When we moved here they had gates that they continuously said they were getting bids on to get them fixed. After 2 1/2 years they removed the gates, because it would be too expensive to fix them. 2. They recently started adding Dwelo smart home to apartments. Which according to Dwelo's site can help them save an average of $38 a month per apartment. So what do they do, raise the utility fee to a ridiculous $115/month for a one bedroom. This does not include electric, cable, or internet. 3. They also announced this month that parking will no longer be free in front of buildings. Instead you can choose to pay $40 a month for a regular parking spot ($25 temporarily to get people signed up). This is one of the worst properties I have lived at as far as rent increase goes. Instead of raising rent, they make up fees. Do not rent here.
