I have never lived in an apartment before but when I walked in a knew I had found a found where I wanted to be from the staff to the neighbors to the grounds. The grounds have incorporated nature into complex and everyone is so friendly and if you have pets, you have found your haven. The apartments are quiet inside and so welcoming. You walk in and the kitchens are big with storage and the bedrooms are nice, also. You are close to everything without feeling like you are, you are less than a mile to eating and shopping but never hear traffic. My dog and I walk to the dock and lake several times a day and greet everyone it is living at its finest!

We enjoy living here. Beautiful location, excellent personnel, friendly neighbors, well maintained facilities with added amenities, and all just around the corner from everything you need as well as easy access to the main thoroughfares. ??????

Staff here are prompt whenever I have a maintenance issue. They respond promptly and resolve it quickly.

Hawthorne at Lake Heather is the best apartment complex I’ve ever stayed at. The management and the maintenance staff has the best customer service by far. They are the nicest and are always doing fun things and having events for the residents. We love it here!! Even after we move, my family and I will never forget the way the staff treated us.

This is my first apartment and it’s been amazing at Hawthorne! I love the staff so much, they really make you feel cared for and heard. The apartments and the grounds are always clean and well maintained. And I always feel safe and at home here!! I’m so happy living here??

Convenient to Hwy 280, but I only have to get on 280 when I want. Shopping, restaurants, I65, gas, gyms, etc are all accessible without getting on 280. The staff is great to work with. They are always doing something( they bought pizzas!) To show their appreciation of us. I loved the morning we go breakfast handed to us at the gate as we left for work.

After living in another complex in the area, I decided to roll the dice and rent here. Having a gated entry is nice. The neighbors are not sketchy. Everyone that I have met has been super friendly but not nosey. The staff in the office are extremely friendly and helpful and the maintenance guys are fast and friendly.

We absolutely LOVE IT here at Hawthorne at Lake Heather. ???? They go above and beyond to make you feel special!!! We received a goodie bag upon moving in. Also we were given a hand written card welcoming us to the community. The office staff Michelle, Margaret & Caleb are always organizing events such as movie nights, special things for Mother and Father’s Day activities etc. Their communication with the residents is top notch!! The maintenance staff is awesome!!! Richard, David & Tucker work hard and when we put request in, they are completed in a timely manner. Other than needing to wait for certain supplies to be shipped ( because sometimes things nowadays are on back order) they are super fast at responding to our requests. The entire staff is very friendly and the residents are as well. If you’re looking for a place to stay, look no further!! ??????

This place would get zero stars if that were an option. The management doesn’t give two craps about their tenants. Our air never really worked during the summer. You’d have to crank the air all the way down to 65 if you wanted to sleep comfortably. They tried to tell me that the vents needed to face the ceiling to keep the apartment cool which is complete bull crap. One side of the apartment always stays hotter than the other side. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything, even people below you. Don’t think about leaving your door or windows open in the fall unless you want the smell of weed coming in your apartment. You pay for the trash to run Sunday- Thursday but don’t hold your breathe. Half the time they don’t come and even if you volunteer to bring your own trash to the dumpster they say you still have to pay. The toilet is always getting backed up and there is NO parking spots. Management is horrible as well. They refuses to work with their tenants. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!!!

This apartment is great and Amanda was super helpful and gave an awesome tour to make sure I knew of all the amenities they offered!

I had to drive up to the office to even turn in my initial paperwork to move in because the staff did not call me back after several attempts. I moved in and they noted what needed to be fixed and never came back to fix it, I had to ask after realizing that was the only way I could get it fixed. The parking is first come first serve so you DO NOT have a guarantee of a parking spot by where you live unless you want to pay $135 more monthly for a garage and still cannot do anything to the garage you rent such as put up simple shelves you can remove. I am very dissatisfied with their customer service.

We will be leaving this place behind ASAP! Whoever is giving this 5 or 4 stars has clearly either had a lucky experience, or they've never stayed in a better place. To be fair, this place started going more down hill after Leah stopped working here. Anyway, since Leah left, NOBODY gives one single crap about how the residents are feeling. They will only do what they are legally obligated to do, like repair air conditioning when it's very hot outside.. and thank God for that! I've emailed them about filthy neighbors literally leaving opened tampons RIGHT outside our door among other garbage, and they have not responded. Yet, they are quick to do ANYTHING to please or impress potential new residents, and don't get me wrong... I appreciate the exteriors for the most part looking clean (their powerwashing job was a bust though), but I feel sometimes it is overkill. You'll hear LOTS of noise frequently in the early hours of the morning because they really want to impress those viewing the apartments. When they came to paint the doors, it's like they give the apartment keys to just ANYONE! Seriously, we were sleeping when the painters came, but I woke up right when they knocked. They didn't give it 10 seconds before they swung the front door open! What if one of us had been trying to get dressed before coming to the door when this happened?! Not only that, but they were very loud as they did their job. Last thing is that there's also and issue with the garbage cans... we never had a problem when Leah worked here about leaving our cans outside our door. This has been something that's always been done when there is valet trash because who wants to bring in a nasty can that's been sitting outside every night?? Well, when Leah left, we were informed we would have to bring it inside every night or we'd be charged a hefty fee! So my husband told them no, we'd rather not have the valet trash if this is the case because it's not sanitary, we'd have to clean it every night, AND the filthy neighbors put trash in the empty can every day! While sounding annoyed at this, the management said they'd just collect the trash can but never did... so there it is, still collecting trash from our nasty neighbors because we don't use it! I could list more things, but it's already getting really long. NOBODY here cares about the current residents, you WILL get roaches because of your neighbors, you WILL be very annoyed with this place and count the days until your lease is up.

The staff is friendly, but they don’t do anything they say they will do. Getting any kind of maintenance issue fixed is like pulling teeth. You just have to eventually hope to fix everything yourself, although they are polite. At first showing, you’ll like it ok. After that, you’ll be stuck wishing you had chosen any other place but this. And I’ve lived in apartment complexes for 16 years. This is the worst so far

We've lived here for about two years now. The apartment came under new management halfway into our first year. Things have improved under the new management. A dog park was built, gym was renovated and the pool area has been upgraded and looks beautiful. It's a pretty quiet place to live. My main negative is parking. We need a bigger parking lot. Cars often park on the sides because the lot is full and that makes it inconvenient when you have to back out of a parking spot and a car is parked in the way. Overall we've enjoyed our time here and have had no major issues.

This apartment is great! They have so many amenities like a pool, car wash, garages, another salt water pool, tennis courts and more! I have a dog and they are so welcoming to her. They constantly give us treats when we walk by the office. A couple times I have had to call the maintenance staff and they were amazing. Not only did they show up quickly but they promptly fixed my issues. The reason they aren't 5 stars in my eyes is because there are gates installed but they are RARELY closed. Also, they give short term notices for entering your apartment for routine checks like air filters.

The management is very accommodating. The exterior is generally nice for the most part. The interior of the apartments could use some updating.
