Situated in Northwest Raleigh next to William B. Umstead State Park, Crabtree Valley takes its name from the popular mall located on its central east side. Glenwood Avenue, which passes through the heart of the neighborhood, contains several other shopping destinations, as well as several restaurants. Crabtree Valley is about five miles northwest of Downtown Raleigh and three miles north of NC State University. With a backyard like Umstead State Park, hiking, fishing, boating, and camping are always available. Covering 5,579 acres, this large park has 13 miles of multi-use trails, ideal for horseback riding and bicycling, and over 20 miles of hiking trails.

We are thrilled to have chosen to apply for an apartment with Hamilton Ridge as our new home and highly recommend this complex for anyone looking for a luxury living experience for a reasonable price! The amenities and features included stand out from all other complexes we have looked into and adds so much convenience our daily lives and enjoy the benefits of living in the city such as a car washing & detailing station and our dog, Kevin is a HUGE fan of their dog park which is conveniently located in the center of the neighborhood for all pet owners to have easy access for their dogs to run free. Their apartments also allow for cozy and easy living with the wood burning fireplace in the living room and high-quality kitchen appliances and even FULL-SIZE washer and dryer in every unit!

Hands down the best Apartment Community My Family and I have ever lived at. We knew from the first visit for our tour that this was the place. We have only been here for about 2 weeks now but I can definitely say this is a great community with great neighbors. We feel safe and comfortable living here. Nesha was fantastic, she was a great help during and after the application/approval process. The first day my Wife and I came to Tour a unit with Nesha we knew right away this was the place to call Home! She was very welcoming and delightful to work with. Hands down great community in a great area.

Took a tour recently of Hamilton Ridge. I’m very picky when it comes to finding a place to live but this community exceeded my expectations compared to most. Clean, quiet, and well-managed community. Management was professional and friendly. Definitely would recommend.

I recently had the opportunity to tour Hamilton Ridge and it was really nice. I’ve lived out here since January 2019 & I’ve enjoyed my time here! Very quiet with friendly neighbors. Lots of stores & restaurants near by, which is really convenient. I love it here!

These apartments were the worst place I’ve ever lived for a multitude of reasons. Our move in date was changed multiple times, with one of the changes literally being made as we were on the way with our moving truck to the apartment. We had to turn around and couldn’t move in that day. We had to basically beg staff to get a cleaning crew to clean our apartment before we moved in. On another note, any maintenance issue you have, it takes forever for them to come fix it (if they even come at all). We had mold begin to grow in our pantry and it was NEVER looked at by anyone, despite a plethora of maintenance requests and phone calls on our part. We had to throw out all of our food and we hoped we weren’t breathing in mold spores for the rest of our time in that apartment. It’s been almost 6 months since we moved out and we’ve yet to receive our security deposit back and no one will answer our emails/phone calls regarding this issue. Bottom line, I’m normally not one to write bad reviews, but I felt I absolutely needed to for this apartment complex. DO NOT LIVE AT HAMILTON RIDGE!!!!
The actual apartments are good and I have no complaints. But the management company is just awful. They are terrible communicators - emails take weeks to get a response if I ever even hear back, calls are almost never returned, I never get follow ups on maintenance issues, and my contract renewal has been a nightmare. I've never had a management company this unprofessional before, and that's including the landlord that stopped paying his mortgage and had the bank foreclose on all of their properties. On top of that they snuck extra charges into my new lease and now my rent has gone up by over 200 a month.
The reason for my star is due primarily to management. They are so unorganized and they try to rip off their tenants in any way possible. I would never work with JMG again after my horrible experience with them. I have so many horrible stories and my lease was only 6 months.
This apartment is great! The rooms are spacious, well designed, and bright. Marlee was very helpful and accommodating to our needs throughout the whole process; she was even willing to switch our 3rd-floor apartment with a ground floor on the day we moved in. It may seem like it would be loud due to the traffic on Creedmoor Road, however, once you are inside you don't hear any of the traffic noise whatsoever. Overall Hamilton Ridge is a great place to live!

You'll fall in love immediately once you see the model! It's so secluded and almost a country mountain feel when you enter. The apartments are spaciousness and open. We love it here and so close to shopping centers, mall and downtown.

They are renovating apartments to lure new residents in. Once you are here, the honeymoon is over. Your best interests are NOT their top priority.
Water damage in 4951-203 that they are refusing to fix properly don't move in here! Also the apartments are dingy and not cleaned between tenants. My car was broken into while parked in the parking lot, nothing stolen because nothing to steal. Maintenance is slow to respond. Kitchen small and poorly laid out, cannot open refrigerator all the way. Cannot pull refrigerator or stove out to clean behind them. Not a good place to live.
Greystar took over in June and they keep charging us the wrong rent because they messed up the first month and never explained it even though we've tried multiple times for them to figure out what went wrong and they don't care enough to bother with it and act like basic math really isn't that straight forward. Don't trust these people with your money!
