The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Hackensack Gardens
I moved in Jan, first day my kids and I were freezing. It’s controlled heating so in the winter months it’s freezing in the apartments. Secondly, there are huge water bugs and mice. I would also like to mention the mold in the bathroom.
I had a 14 month lease here. I had a horrible experience. The people downstairs smoked all the time and my apartment smelled like I smoked weed and cigarettes and sometimes some stronger smells, even though I don’t smoke. I experienced really bad 2nd hand smoke. People downstairs also partied most nights so getting adequate sleep at night wasn’t always the case. Told the maintenance guy that there was a leak in the roof in the bathroom and he told me he couldn’t fix it unless he saw it. If I called him while it rained, he would come when the rain stopped, so I had to endure a leaky ceiling (every time it rained) for the duration of the time I stayed there. They don’t give heat during the wintertime. The apartment got really moldy. For your sanity, just stay away from this place.
As a new resident, it is a blessing to have found Hackensack Gardens Apartments. It truly is a home away from home. Property Management and the office staff are professional, friendly, reliable and supportive. They displayed genuine, conscientiousness, quickly resolving matters, and they are great at keeping the lines of communication open. They have a personal magnetism that quickly builds rapport for lasting relationships. They also know how to put you at ease when managing more tangible property-related concerns such as maintenance and repair issues that are handled with the utmost professionalism by an AWESOME 24-hour maintenance staff. The complex, is well kept and “soooo” very quiet that I sometimes wonder, "Where is everybody???" You don't even hear the crickets chirping at night, and their landscaped grounds are well-maintained. Their slogan is “RIGHT PLACE! RIGHT PRICE!”, but they should also add "NO WORRIES!!!" The staff's willingness and friendly, positive attitude are very much appreciated. THANKS! Blessings, AMEN!!!
These are older buildings which need a lot of work, more than they are equipped to do.
Don’t ever never think to stay in this garbage! You will find the COCKROACHES everywhere EVEN if the apartment is renewed, I called the management because of the people working downstairs and they respond DISRESPECTFUL literally they are RIDICULOUS unlike when you see them the first day for a lease, all what they care about is MONEY. Go and find another apartment where you deserve to be in, everything here is really bad you will not find a parking lot with this high rent, I asked them to have a sticker for each car to know if these cars are belong to this community or not but they said “YOU ARE NOT PAYING SEPARATELY FOR THE PARKING LOT SO WE CANNOT DO THAT” that doesn’t make sense! In each parking area there is a sign says these parking for residents only!!
